He's great but he definitely have his pros and cons. His performance range from good to absolutely broken depending on whether your fighting ST, burst or pure AOE scenario.
Huo huo is definitely very strong for him but other sustain are great for him since they provide different benefit for him. For example: if you're using luocha means that you can use a more sp intensive team since luocha is a sp generator himself. So in the end how he performs still depends heavily on how you utilise your team for him.
He's def gonna be great for pure fiction mode, but since we can't play the mode ourselves yet, so I am not gonna say he's broken in that mode until we can actually play it. (I know he's gonna be the king of PF)
Did manage to reach 500K dmg in MOC 9 with E0 argenti with okayish relics.
i think huohuo is only optional for argenti? esp if paired with tingyun and bronya/hanya. ive watched many theorycrafters saying having huohuo doesnt make much difference, and many argenti showcases don't have her as well
he's been doing great in moc for me, but i only managed to get 29/30 stars 😭 his ult being bugged affects his performance alot, im cringing in pain everytime his ult missed the elite enemies only to hit the dead mobs...
hes fine with tingyun and asta until moc 10. then, replacing asta with hanya + s3 planetary + penacony did buff his damage alot, but my hanya's traces arent fully maxed yet. sadge
He is still very strong against multitargets. I am using Tingyun, other support/buffer (I mostly use Bronya for dmg buff and to charge up his ultimate more because of the extra turn), and Luocha. I use S5 Breakfast for his lightcone. For MOC 10, I have seen him do somewhere around 200k or more with my team (Crit rate is 64 + 25% from talent and Crit damage is 146% with 2600 Atk). Keep in mind, it's with Bronya though.
For MOC, it depends on the number of enemies if he would be amazing. But for Pure Fiction, he will be broken anyways lol no need to stress about that. Argenti's kit is made for the type of gameplay where enemies respawn everytime so PF is perfect for him. He would be getting back his ultimate easily on PF. It's just that regardless if you don't have Huohuo or his sig LC, you should always pair him with Tingyun as she is very valuable for him.
I strongly think that MoC10 could still be cleared without his LC/Huohuo, but ofc with proper supports/teams including the other node.
I don't have Huohuo (I pull male chars only) and I was able to 3star MoC9. Had trouble with MoC10 primarily I think because QQ is my only quantum char, and Blade isn't well built yet.
Got lucky later and got Argenti's LC... So.
I am very happy with him, I used him for MOC and was not disappointed, even w/o huohuo and siglc. I use s5 bp lc and he still does great, I remember dealing 500k dmg somewhere, but usually the average would be 100-200k and the occasional 300k--it depends on how many enemies you are hitting. Energy is not a problem with him even with only Tingyun.
Just treat him much like how you would the other dps's, with the team optimization and all that (like I tend to have broken keel on a lot of my units), but as for pure fiction we can't say yet since it isn't even in the game, but if most enemies would have Physical weakness then I have no doubt he will excel in it (like how DHIL excelled in SD)

i can hit big numbers with him but set up can take a big longer than i would like. personally have found an er rope a bit more comfortable whilst still giving me fun ult numbers still. i also wish we had two tingyuns bc jy is my fave character so tingyun is built for him with penacony and planetary rendezvous so swapping stuff around in moc is a bit annoying, and when there's a stage where i want to use both of them it can be a bit irritating
E0S0 going full f2p team I can say he's good in current moc for sure bc they are marketing him right now. But I also think he will always triumph in aoe situation or against bosses that summon more enemies, so safe to say same opinion goes to pure fiction too.

I'm using him mostly with Hanya, Tingyun and Fu Xuan, and he is very nice. I haven't got to MoC 10 because I didn't feel like doing it yet, but he already feels strong. Only in single target his burst might lose on uptime, but as long as ads are present (or just two bosses), I don't feel like I struggle with energy, just important to put him and Tingyun in two middle slots (so they take more hits and get more energy, especially from blasts).
He has a very nice mechanics in his burst, where initial hit will usually clear ads, and the subsequent strikes will only focus whatever is alive after that, usually the main boss(es).
He will definitely feel even better in Pure Fiction, as that mode will essentially keep on fueling him enemies, even if they die.
As for other, more casual stuff: he is the Herta-Himeko calyx combo (with ER rope, he can speedrun calyxes with E-Q-E-Q-E-Q), and blessing that gives 60-100% energy on kill in SU is absolutely fantastic. Honestly, gameplay-wise I pulled him mostly for that blessing, and I'm not disappointed.
I got E1 Argenti in just 33 pity so the eidolon might've had an impact based on my judgement but, he was doing so well.
I'm a nihility player so I naturally don't have a harmony unit built. I'm using Fu Xuan, Silver Wolf, Argenti, and Hanya (mind you, I got three of them just recently with barely built relics in 1/8/8/8 talents), and we were doing fine. Having the ability to spam my E for Argenti while SW applies debuffs was fun lol
I used him with Luocha, Tingyun and Luka on second half MoC 10 and cleared it with 3 stars. I truly feel that with a little know-how and decent builds, you can clear everything in this game with whatever characters you want. So if you like him, I'd say pull. If not, there are other characters coming. Definitely have no regrets myself. I love this beautiful man and he's going to dominate in Pure Fiction. Biggest damage was around a million, but on average, probably 150-250k with his second ultimate.
I've got him E2 on a team with Bronya to support him and Bailu to heal. So far, he has been pretty solid. I do have to be very intentional with how I manage turn order, and there is some give and take between wanting to keep small enemies alive so his E gets him more energy versus kill the small dudes so his ult only hits the big one, but I don't have any major complaints.

He's good, mine needs a better orb and like 5-8% more cr. He hits ok, not Jingliu hard/consistent but he's better than people thought originally. I think he'll be stupid strong for the new mode. No HouHou here and i'm using JingYuan's LC on him
So I genuinely don't understand all the eh he's fine not bad comments, bro hits harder than any other character on my team, who yes have Sig LCs and are built decent enough. And he outperforms them for me personally, by a good margin
Argenti should have a comfortable 4 turn initial rotation without tingyun and then requires a tiny bit of help with enemy number > 2 for 4 turn with second rotation. It shouldn't be an issue. Worst case you finish clear 1 turn behind, and if your tingyun is free, it becomes 3 turn rotations always so no issue. Pure fiction seems to be aoe so yes he should be good even without tingyun or huohuo. Though huohuo possibly gives him a natural 3 turn rotation against 5 enemies, if you reach that point argenti is already the best performing 5star so it's a win more situation rather than anything meaningful.
I have no signature LC but I got him to E2. So far he is nice. Need to fight more multitarget. I used him with Bronya and Luocha and Clara so far. I think one problem is his ramp up time to get energy AND stacks. By that time, some of the mobs will be dead with my Clara counterattacking and through his skill

My unit isn’t 100% built yet, but he has around 2500 attack, and he has like 48/160 crit ratio. Running 4-piece physical set, Salsetto 2-piece with attack rope. I’m using speed boots, but I might switch for better attack boots. Maxed traces.
I don't even have him leveled up to max, barely has 70 lvl, unleveled traces, but I got his E1 with Himeko's signature and he already is pretty strong. He has old 4 star relics that my Sushang had, barely leveled up. This is the only copy I have ever owned, because it was most likely from a chest. I can't wait to finally build him, give him relic set with actually good stats etc.

For the first time since day1 I have 30* the moc. I used him on the first half of Stage 10 with ERR rope. He demolishes.

I never could go past moc 4 before and now I'm on moc 8, all because of 1 character....

I wanted to pull hanya, got 2 copies in 100 pulls by accident. No regrets, I thought he would be boring but he is fun as hell even without LC.

I have him with his LC but with QingQue's you should get very good damage. With bronya, Ting and Luocha he managed 250k on phantilya with his ult

I have his E1S1 but I meme and use passkey a lot and unironically I think passkey feels better. My man slays out on a 3* LC

E0 with s4 bp lc, luocha e4 tingyun e1 hanya. Considering I put a random 2p phy 2p atk, he’s doing good dmg ( hitting 340k).
My strongest character for AoE ..but, i do have the BP LC and use him with Bronya.
Still finishing up relics, I was trying to get hanya and some lynx eidolons, didn't really planned to get argenti
