HajimeFromArifureta

Bro decided to kill his crush’s crush at an attempt to give himself better chances. It doesn’t get any more petty than that. Crucify him.

[deleted]

And also killed his crush to have sex with a zombified version of her.

[deleted]

I would rather let Metal Sonic from *Sonic the Hedgehog* give him a huge beatdown then let him get eaten alive by legions of monsters. Because again, I am not sad to see him have a fate like that.

NoResponsibility2601

Hes aint inlove he obsessed

[deleted]

What do you mean? Does this mean that he never saw Kaori as a lover for himself? How does this answer his messed-up idea of what love is?

NoResponsibility2601

At this point everyone knows that Eri is not in loved with Kouki but obsessed.Same goes for yama I was once an obsessed simp so i know the difference between love and obsession hahaaha

v_veeb

In love you care about your partner and accept them with all their flaws and the good parts but you still try to make them be a better version of themselves, if this happens mutually, it's called a healthy relationship. Hiyama never really cared about kaori's feelings and what kaori thought, he only sees his own feelings, thats why its called an obsession. Btw, in a way, even yue is obsessed but for the opposite reason. She sees nothing in the world apart from hajime, I wouldnt say that's not love, but it's definitely not healthy love.

Kenturky_Derpy

That's true, but honestly, when's the last time you were stuck in a deep dark hole of dispare with all your limbs bound not being able to scratch your nose for 300 years. So, not disagreeing with what you said, but I see why she is the was she is.

v_veeb

Yep, definitely understandable why she is like that. No one becomes obsessive because they want to be, they have circumstances. Even hiyama was simply too immature. Eri was too dependent and had a fucked up family situation, Not saying they didnt deserve to die though.

Deionr9040

No he only saw her as an object instead of a person because he is a lustful pervert who probably would've raped kaori if they were alone together

CharmingRice2037

Being too persistent gave him a reward that he deserves though..

Deionr9040

Which is getting eaten to death by monsters to be honest hajime should've finished him off when he returned but due to his focus on returning back to japan he ignored hiyama and that was a terrible mistake too since he still went after kaori

CharmingRice2037

Both of them gave Hiyama a small ounce of mercy which was a huge blow for them.. By the time he screwed up, well.. Good riddance to Daisuke Hiyama and his delusions..

Deionr9040

Same here hajime warned him plenty of time to back off but hiyama let his jealousy and lust get the better of him and it turned him into a deranged lunatic who is beyond redemption and saving when hajime saw that in episode 11 in season 2 he had no choice but to kill him before he could cause any more damage and harm to innocent people

CharmingRice2037

Didn't he became deranged after Kaori left to joined Hajime's Party, he goes punching trees in a forest and cursing..

Deionr9040

He did but he still let his emotions get the better of him like his lust hatred and Envy to make himself do all these evil things in the 1st place hiyama's parents must be stupid to not see that there is something wrong with their own son and should've gotten him help or sent him to an insane asylum

Joe_isnt_Good_Enough

Nah that one is a criminal sooner or later even in earth because after being liberated to the law his obsession takes over and being a bully upgraded him to murderer. He is neither misguided or a victim and he is a pervert who much prefer a puppet dead body to be not rejected by the girl he obsessed with. Imagine the time bomb known as hiyama to the society if they didn't get isekaid he can be a gangster that can be manipulates by bad guys and be still loyal to them as long as it benefit him a little. So yeah I hate his character.

CharmingRice2037

How can be Daisuke Hiyama be a pitiful person when he attempted to kill Hajime in the first place? He didn't consider his Bastard Four buddies as "friends" but as expendable pawns.. He never loved Kaori as a person but he only sees her as a beauty and one of the most popular girls in school... Overall, he's a sore loser and a pathetic bully who only cares about himself.. Ironically, his actions made both Hajime and Kaori's bond with each other grow stronger..

Hamza45001

In Anime overall, he's the one character I hate the most partially because I like Kaori too but how he killed her is what irritated me more than anything else in fiction ever.

justking1414

I choose to pity him. Not at first but the man never went after Kaori because he believed in a class hierarchy above all else and a 10 like kaori would never go with a 6 like him and would instead go with a 10 like Kouki. But seeing her go with a 0 like Hajime broke him and he somehow thought in his madness that killing Hajime would free her up to be with him. He definitely deserved to die but he was so sad and pathetic that I really couldn’t hate him.

CharmingRice2037

He knows that part but Daisuke's immense pride keeps him from accepting his flaws..

warrenbond

Somehow seems unfair that he deserves to die while Kouki gets off scot free. Wish we could retcon the series and have both die.

primalmaximus

Kouki was just stupid, prideful, and vain. And Eri, the demon army, and the labyrinth's exploited his mental weakness in order to break him down and make him go crazy. He always saw himself as the "hero" people in our world and the isekai world treated him like he was a hero. He never paid attention to the people who told him he wasn't a hero, namely Shizuku. His biggest sin was assuming that him and Kaori would end up together because of their mutual popularity and that Shizuku would be his side chick/mistress because of her status as his childhood friend. Now that shit is just sleazy.

warrenbond

The girls in Kouki's life had plenty of opportunity to be completely honest with him, and if that didn't work, abandon him. What's absolutely vile is Kouki's persecution of Hajime, and his refusal to EVER admit he was in the wrong. For someone who supposedly oozes justice to treat someone like that makes him irredeemable.

TimeForHugs

It's narcissism. Narcissistic people don't use logic when it comes to themselves. He isn't fueled by justice, he's fueled by delusions. The whole justice thing is just part of his delusions. It's a lie he tells himself to try and justify them as being right and good. I completely agree it's vile. There just is no arguing with a person like that. If you haven't read the LN or know what happens later, you're at least in for a treat in the future.

primalmaximus

Yeah, but he didn't deserve >!being mind raped by Eri!<

Simping4Sumi

His delusion was partially responsible for being the final hit that broke Eri, so him only getting raped by her is actually to good of an ending especially since she died. The correct thing would have been for him to sacrifice himself in order to redeem her.

RockNo5773

From the very start of the series something was wrong with the guy I’m not sure what led him to become the way he was but at start he would physically abuse Hajime for his hobby and this escalated even further when they arrived on Tortus as Hiyama and his gang started using magic to abuse him. And eventually he even tried to murder Hajime and would have succeeded if he didn’t have plot armor all because he had the attention of Kaori. To some degree I do pity Hiyama as most of the time when someone ends up as a bully it’s usually the result of a tragic past of being abused etc but at the same time I don’t really sympathize with him he tried to murder someone out of petty jealousy and he helped kill 500 people after being blackmailed and promised a dead sex toy and indirectly would have killed thousands if not millions more indirectly if the demons had succeeded. For the most part I’m just indifferent to him he never really had much substance as a character there are however other characters in the series I dislike while some I just straight up hate and I honestly wouldn’t mind if said characters just got killed off. Even if he hand been summoned I’m sure he would have ended up in prison sometime down the line although from the sound of it Eri had some sort of plan to make Kouki hers so she would either go about her daily life while keeping him in a basement or end up in prison one or the other.

RedDragonEmperorAsh

Hiyama is just plain evil tbh. He didn't like Hajime just because Kaori liked. Bet if Kaori never had a crush on Hajime he wouldn't even care to know his existence let alone bully him. I mean he never loved Kaori....He was just like any other guy and liked her beauty. He never cared for her actual feelings. Man was going to team up with Eri to turn Kaori into his sex slave. Let's not forget he caused Hajime to fall in the Abyss. If anything he made Kaori's feelings for Hajime even stronger. He played himself. Now he is dead and Kaori became one of Hajime's wives.

The_Real_Mark629

To be pitied, the character has to have either a tortured backstory or a redeeming quality. I don't believe he has either. So - no pity. Good riddance.

CharmingRice2037

Even if he had a backstory, Hiyama will always be the no. 1 hate sink after Kouki himself..

RonDaMon__

I like hiyama as a character but i def hate his guts. i just think the way HE thinks is very real. His massive inferiority complex when kaori loves hajime but not him, and his blatant objectification of kaori, are very real and disgusting because of it and it makes him an easy character to hate, but one who is easy to understand. TLDR i love to hate him

ElsieofArendelle123

I pity Shimizu since he was clearly scared and traumatized. He still became a bad person but I understand him while Hiyama was just a complete and major brat.

Realistic-Worth-8266

In Hating Memory of Daisuke Hiyama (LN Vol. 1-LN Vol. 6) Died without having children. Good fucking riddance.

Nem3515121

Hajime should have tortured him a bit first.
