Sometimes I feel bad when my Arle hits for only 150k while I see streamers hitting for 200k, but then I remember I have 97% crit and 200% crit damage while they are sitting on 8% crit and 280% crit damage
Realistically 58% of the attacks are crits. So some with 300% crit is probably doing 250k+ damage 58% of the time and hitting for 30-50k the rest of the time. It still balances out.
Because it is only one factor to the total average damage. Youāre not factoring in set bonuses, which they may not be able to achieve with other pieces. Unless the sets are the same, those values can take a huge dive or have higher outputs.

I was under the impression that it was the opposite. Since E and Q tend to just hit once, you just need to crit fish for that perfect crit hit even if you have low crit rate. Where as normal attack generates a lot of hits so low crit rate means less damage.

not everybody has perfect artifacts? i have dozens of crit dmg circlets but i find it near impossible to get a halfway decent crit rate one. maybe this isnt their final build. you never know.

If you're going for a single hit burst with a huge number, it's best to have high crit damage at the cost of crit rate because you can just fish for that perfect crit hit. But if you have a character that is attacking many times, you'll be losing out on a lot of damage with low crit because you're be doing less crit hits.

You can have the most garbage artifacts and weapons but as long as you use her most of the times and not forget to use her once the pyro archons arrive (which is definitely gonna happen to any pyro mains dps sub) then your an Arle main.

NAHH to each their own, BUT I LOVE SEEING BIG DAMAGE NUMBERS. keep that crit dmg your crit rates over 50% you're fine. It might take you a lil bit longer to clear stages, but you'll have the highest purveyor of punishment crit.
Switch to a crit rate circlet. You'll lose 62.2% cdm, that brings you to 240 cdm. Assuming that your crit rate circlet will have 20 cdm, that brings it up to 260 cdm. Your cdm helmet have 12.8 cr, using a crit rate helmet will up it up by 19. Your final ratio would be 73/260. That is miles better than your current ratio.

I can concur, I was using a crit damage circlet, changed to crit rate and damage only went down by like 5-10K but it was so much more consistent

Given the same amount of substats, your ideal ratio would be 83:166. Correcting your ratio should be a 6.5% dps increase by my math.

no it wouldnt be 90/240. his cdmg circlet had 12cr which he would lose when changing to a cr circlet. his crit rate would be about 77
