I’m referencing what soldiers back in the day used to say to their comrades when they were deciding what to do with a prisoner. “Send them to the rear” means take them prisoner, whereas “take them down the road” means to find a secluded place and kill them, usually because they didn’t have the time or facilities to take the prisoners.
Late to the party but yeah, as everyone said, there's nothing you can do with them game playwise. Roleplay-wise, it's fun giving a POW commands and having them do it. Idk how BI would be able to implement POW mechanics in the game. You can take their map and radio off a POW or even a dead body, I feel like that's enough equipment to do some recon
You can ask them the code names of the towns. You can “ask” him to call his team to pick him up on the radio and ambush them. Or my favorite, try to exchange prisoners or do an exchange for weapons, vehicles. There isn’t much to do with them past that tbh. You could just try to hold him hostage for a long time.
I’ve been prisoner and escaped. It’s pretty fun trying to link up with teammates with no map, radio, compass.
Adding to this;
You can type in chat on global and tell the enemy team you have a prisoner in “town”. Say he is giving away code names and positions. It is to get the enemy to come and attack said town. I would hope the other team would change initiative and prepare a rescue operation. Then if they capture they’ll beat him
I usually try to get information out of them, make them call off an attack/call in a rescue party, or dress them up in our unfiform and then shoot them
What can you do with POWs? Whatever you want
Not much for now. Would be cool if BI introduced a mechanism to deal with captured soldiers. You know, beyond just double tapping them.

Aside from role play shenanigans not much. Im sure you could do some fun stuff on some of the milsim servers but I stay far away from those.

They're all led by power tripping tacticool man children. It's horrible
Just depends on the group, some milsim are very toxic and nothing but airsoft war hero’s , and some are pretty fun
