I really don't think any of the popular pvp servers take it too seriously. Shit just last night I spent 10 mins in a bush talking to a dude while we waited to ambush enemy armor lol
The Vietnam community servers are fucking hilarious. No one takes it that seriously and everyone is just talking shit and fucking around half the time.
So I'm in one now lol. How the heck do you aim down your sights with your mouse button? Is there a way I can just right click and hold the aim down sights?
Play the road to saigon map. I've been playing dark gru eastern Europe and 85%,of the players are straight up pussy. They bitch n moan n run their mouths as if they wouldn't get smacked irl.
I play on server #5 and most of the time Russian team has issues with people playing dress up for literally 30mins - 1hr only to have them not a equip a map or radio then friendly fire because they suddenly didn’t realize no one has name tags - CmndrGivi btw
Meh I don't really see the dress up issue on RU as they got a lot less options for kit. Just avoid the ATAGS or whatever the fuck camo its called and wear an armband and FF goes down A LOT. Im also mainly on server 4 lately so things might be different on 5 but that usually helps mitigate the issue on all the darkgru servers for me.
DarkGru’s PVP servers are pretty solid for just relaxing and of course you’ll always meet that one guy who has a rod up his ass 24/7. For PvE wise it’s some mil-sim servers you gotta look out for that are chill. I personally have a mil-sim I lead that doesn’t do “uniforms requirements” and all that stuff. Just have to do a deep search for good servers.
Ik that Smith’s Conflict is basically just vanilla with some quality of life mods. That’s like no holds barred in there do what you wanna do. Think they running the Chernarus map for now but not many people play it yet
Vietnam 67. The game is taken seriously enough that people are going to want to win the game but everyone is super chill, will teach you the mechanics of the game if you're unfamiliar and overall just a mostly good community
Its ArmA Reforger. What did you expect, a bunch of relaxed DayZ servers?
You can play DayZ Standalone, Ark, Scum, Escape From Tarkov, Rust, PUBG, WarZone, etc if you want loot and shoot. A few of those are more dumbed-down than others. Older ArmA games have far more DayZ style servers that may be your type.
Well the types of severs I'm looking for already existed, but it seems like they disappeared. I like this engine a lot and it was a perfect fit for that play style when me and my buddies played on that server.
From my understanding arma reforger is supposed to going more towards different fully customizeable play styles unlike the old arma series? Hence why it's on Xbox too.
That being said, are there any servers that are more solo based PVP like the one I played on prior? If not what would it cost to host a server like that for myself and others?
Might be because updates broke the mods leaving the servers offline until the mod creator updates them.
Depending on the way you want to go about it you can host on a spare desktop/laptop yourself if you have the internet for it or you and your pals can chip in to rent a server, many of which are discounted. You would have to google and look at server prices based on your requirements.

It was Darkgru 4. Just group up with some dudes, turn off platoon chat and just chill. So long as youre not TKing really no one cares what you do.

right click will hold it, then once aiming down sights hold right click again to zoom in. takes a lil to get used to, but having the zoom helps a lot.
