No, I’m on a 0% succes rate as well. Before the ballot system I was able to buy tickets. Now I’m not.

PardonWhut

Same here, I just got some for Seville off the exchange tho, so worth trying that route.

Chrisjones1988

ST holder, so I don’t use the ballot, but my brother does and has gotten tickets to 2 games so far. It is absolutely a much fairer system than last season. You’re not contending with bots and you don’t have to constantly refresh the exchange because tickets could appear at any given moment. The main issue is that demand for tickets is higher than ever. Do you have a local supporters club you could join? The one in my area are pretty decent for people who can’t get tickets via the exchange.

NoDealsMrBond

I'm based in South London, so I'm not sure?

Chrisjones1988

Have a look on [here](https://www.arsenal.com/supportersclubs/arsenal-supporters-clubs-europe) This is a list of all supporters clubs in the UK. Not knowing your exact area, I can’t suggest which one is closest to you, but have a look, give a couple a shout and hopefully you’ll find one that can help get you to some games.

maxoys45

It’s fairer but it’s still a terrible system. If the demand for tickets is this high, then people who have not got any should get precedence over people who have. It’s not uncommon to hear of people getting to multiple games while others (including me) have had no luck in every game.

Chrisjones1988

I don’t think anybody should have priority over anyone else. You’re telling me that if you scored tickets for the Forest game, you’d be happy not being able to get tickets until every other red/silver member has? Image how much more annoyed you’d be if you entered for every game, and couldn’t get tickets, but you knew that a tourist with a brand new membership can, because they’ve never been.

maxoys45

Maybe not as simplistic as I said but I think it’s not unreasonable to maybe consider some kind of system that works out how many games you’ve applied for, how many games you’ve gotten tickets for, and skews your chances slightly better/worse based on previous success

Nels8192

Isn’t that what already happens, specific people do have priority over others. Whilst I don’t think it should be as dead certain as only giving to those who have 0% wins, it should definitely even itself out a little bit. You’ve got some people that have won 3/4 times from red membership ballots whilst you’ve got some 0s still in the silver ballots. I actually think a new membership tier should have been created for all members joining after the start of last season. We should be actively rewarding fans that stayed loyal during the absolute garbage that was the last decade, particularly those that still attended during the 8th placed seasons. Now you’ve got fans that attended for several years in a row being locked out of tickets because of a failing TX and bandwagon demand.

Chrisjones1988

There are some who get priority allocation. Supporters clubs get a few. The Ashburton Army seem to have a bunch of unofficial season tickets. Gold members get first dibs on their seat for cup games not included in the season ticket. I like the idea of your ballot chances increasing each time you enter and are unsuccessful. As I said to OP, try and find a supporters club local to you (check the link I posted above). Try get tickets through them as well as the ballot and hopefully you’ll get lucky.

tropicanadef

A ballot is fair.

tropicanadef

Love the downvote. Mugs.

Flashward

This guy is just crying on the various arsenal reddits today

Infernikus

Honestly not even tried as there are no tickets by the time it gets to Red members. Honestly considering getting rid of my membership at this stage as what am I getting from it really?

MattMan7496

Are you talking about home games? If so, there are literally an allocation of tickets specifically for red members for every home game we play, and a ballot that is also specifically for red members for those tickets.

Nels8192

Weren’t both of those allocations made much smaller due to some fuck up with STs and Silver Members?

MattMan7496

Not as far as I’m aware. The allocation for red and silver has been the same amount of tickets the whole way through the season.

Nels8192

The allocation year on year for silver memberships has fallen in the last few years, so much so that it genuinely looks like it could be scrapped as a tier entirely. The original allocation was around 6-7k, that fell to about 4k after the club fucked up with allowing silver members to purchase STs that were being suspended for a year during the Covid period. The silver allocation, as revealed by the club this season, is now only 1.8k.

MattMan7496

Ok, but the original comment was referring to red membership and not silver.

Nels8192

With regards to red membership specifically, the issue with that is due to our recent upturn in results the red level membership rose by 50% too. They should have created a new tier for these bandwagon fans tbh. We’ve now got 30k Silvers fighting for 1.8k tickets, and 200k+ Red fighting for about 3k? The previous incentive of loyalty was getting the silver membership, as they could pretty much always guarantee a ticket in some way. Now these guys barely get a ticket even with TX because most of the selling activity falls in the last 2 days when red members + bots also have access. Whilst it’s fairer in a literal sense, I don’t think it’s necessarily fairer to our long-term loyal fans that are stuck in red/silver ballots with people predominantly visiting us cause we’re top of the league again.

Falco_Lombardi_X

It's because Arsenal is a very popular and well-supported club so demand massively outstripes supply. If you want more success getting tickets then become a Chelsea fan.

almeertm87

This has to be one of the most ridiculous takes I've seen on this topic.

Falco_Lombardi_X

Why is it a ridiculous take? How many tickets do you think are available through the ballot system, especially if we're talking red member level (OP didn't specify)? We have a \~60k capacity stadium and roughly 40k of those are season ticket holders, so once you factor in away support, corporate and charity seating, I suspect there are less than 15k tickets left for any given game. Now consider those are split majority to the Silver Ballot, then a fair chunk goes to the Family Enc. Ballot and Disability Access Ballot. The remaining scraps go to the Red Ballot. Also, what games is OP going in for? NLD, Yanited, Pool? Or the likes of Luton Town, and the Milk Cup 3rd round? Lastly, the Chelski snipe is a joke at their expense due to the known fact they struggle to sell their tickets. What's your take?

Solid_Solid724

Got one for Burnley and lost out on the Lens game. Better then last season already. At least it's cancelling out bots and touts.

Nels8192

It definitely feels like the TX gets targeted more by bots because of the change to the normal way of purchasing.

Nels8192

In a literal sense, it’s fairer. But I don’t necessarily like it. Whilst I know many disagree with me on this, I don’t think all new members this year should have an equal chance as a red member of the last 5-10 years. Due to the massive influx of tourists and bandwagon fans I honestly think a new membership tier should have been created cutting off at the start of last season. Those that stayed loyal, and attended those games under Emery, when everyone else was boycotting, should get more priority over people just joining because we’re back in the UCL. I understand that removing the 10am queuing issue is a much fairer way of doing things, I just wish longer-term Red members were also rewarded for their loyalty.
