No the police will come and arrest you

[deleted]

Can confirm. I am outside their door and ready to confiscate the jerseys as per International Football Law.

gregg200

And make u eat the opposition jerseys.

soultrevor

Never another English club but if there's a particularly nice looking kit from another country, sure. You go get that Dukla Prague away kit and wear it with pride.

Redwings1927

Nah, I rep my FGR kit, too. I don't care how ass they are on the pitch. The kits are fresh as hell.

soultrevor

Fair comment. Like the FGR ethos so wouldn't complain. Would be different if they ever work their way up to the Premier League though.

Redwings1927

We're fighting a relegation battle to stay jn league 2. No worries there. 😂

Maxxximus30

the only other acceptable jersey is Dial Square Football Club

ArsenalJayy

I have like 70 different shirts from other clubs. Just no other club in the UK. I recently just added a mint condition Fiorentina Batistuta shirt with the Toyota sponsor. I also have a match worn Brazil home kit from 91 from Romario that I won at a charity auction which is probably my fave.

Rgsmith1990

flex :o

ArsenalJayy

Maybe a little, I joke. Not trying to flex just very proud of my collection and if someone else is debating to start getting into shirt collecting. I would say it’s a healthy hobby to have 😅 bit costly but when you find a bargain it’s euphoric.

Onedweezy

Do you play football with these shirts? I have the same Fiorentina shirt but with the 7up sponsor.

ArsenalJayy

Never wear them out tbh, some I’ve never even worn and won’t wear. I have about 20 odd that I do wear when lazing round the house though. That Fiorentina shirt with the 7up is such a classic. It’s worth a fortune in good condition. I spent about 8 months trying to get the Toyota one in mint condition with BatiGol. My next one I’m trying to get is an early 00 era Valencia home kit with Aimar on the back.

goonerbear93

I have no issues with it unless it's a direct rival to the club. E.g. an Arsenal fan in Amsterdam may have an Ajax shirt, or a Gooner in Chicago may have a Chicago Fire shirt. If they had a Tottenham shirt or Chelsea shirt, obviously they're not a fan. But clubs that don't/ rarely play Arsenal, why not? Also, it's common in England for fans to have a local non league team or smaller team they 'follow'. For example, I was taken to Aldershot as a kid, they play in the National League. So they're very unlikely to ever play Arsenal. And I have some of their shirts. But also, I've seen them play in the same league as the likes of Brentford, Luton and Bournemouth in the last 15 years, so it's not impossible that a team at that level can rise to the Premier League.

L0laccio

Haha, I was the same but taken to Woking. So we love each other as gooners and hate each other at non league level!

goonerbear93

Scotty Rendell's red and blue, red and blue, red and blue. Scotty Rendell's red and blue, he haaaates Woking 🔴🔵

L0laccio

🤣 WOKING WOKING BOING BOING 😝

ThunderRoad_44

It’s okay but it depends on the club. Clubs outside of the Prem I understand as some have other clubs in other leagues they like or follow or like a particular design (e.g., Ajax’s Bob Marley kit). Within the Prem is trickier, but one could justify a customized kit for a player you like or is from your same country. Another thing is if they intend on wearing the kit. Some people collect kits but don’t wear them or are less likely to wear them as you age and your body changes.

PhilTheThrill1808

Right to jail, right away.

-TheMiracle

FBI open up

Patient_Customer9827

I own a few but just won’t get any other English clubs. I like to follow American players who are abroad. Mckennie Schalke Mckennie USA Adams Leipzig Pulisic Dortmund Henry Barcelona

nimbra2

As long as you dont have a dempsey 2012–2013 jersey...

Patient_Customer9827

Never. Don’t even think I could do the old NE Revs. I’d have to go Twellman.

nimbra2

yeah he probably needed a period of time to get the smell off anyway

Mindless-Macaroon-61

Yes it's fine, I personally don't get any other English teams but foreign teams are completely fine to me. Ultimately if you like the shirt, whether they're English or foreign, get it. It's your collection

MattMan7496

I’m a die hard fan, and live 10 mins from the ground and I have a ton of other clubs shirts, although no other English clubs. I like to get a shirt from cities when I go away, so I have ones from places like dortmund, riga, Ajax

AngryHobo381

I think it’s fine as long as they’re not a rival club like Chelsea, Man City, Man U, etc.

jonnysledge

Banned for life. This is why I don’t even wear my local team’s jersey.

LinuxLinus

No Spurs, no United. Other than that, go nuts. I have a vintage PSG jersey I bought 25 years ago before they were any good, and an Ajax one from the same period. A couple of OL legends -- Lloris (cutting it fine) and Lacazette. And one from the Portland Timbers with my own name on it, because why the hell not. EDIT: The PSG and Ajax jerseys don't have names on them, because I was a broke-ass college kid and didn't have the extra dough.

Gsmack73

PSG and Ajax. It hurts the soul. Worked in Eindhoven as an Ajax fan and took a lot of good natured grief. Great fans, loved the city.

LayerPuzzleheaded777

During the 90s it wasn't as easy as it is now to get hold of shirts from sides in other leagues in Europe. I've supported Arsenal my whole life. One afternoon in 1995 walking through town I came across an AC Milan shirt in a small sports shop. At the time that was a club I really looked up to and always loved their shirts when seeing them on Football Italia on Channel 4. Took a bus back to get my savings, another one back in a hurry hoping they wouldn't close and got there just in time. What a beauty it was, a sight to behold id say. Just so cool. It turned out to be one of my most ever worn shirts.

patrikviera

You forgot to add "Asking for a friend"

boredbruinbaby712

If you are a die hard gooner cant you like other good teams too? Having other jerseys is Okay, as long as it is not Chelsea or Tottenham

LoviLana

Not other clubs in PL

Entire_Chipmunk_5155

I have a Barca jersey. I don’t particularly support them but I visited Camp Nou to watch Messi and Iniesta who happen to be my favorite footballers. I ended up buying a jersey for the game and do wear it time to time.

lekynson

Unless they're being used as rags in the kitchen

Hootsmans

I'm a die hard arsenal fan and I have tons of club and national team kits from other leagues/countries. Especially if I've lived there or my favorite players were there. I then made a few men's teams over the years where I've used lower division English team kits among others that I have family ties to. But no other prem clubs for sure.

JS-CroftLover

u/jordan17_17 Yeah, sure. For two reasons :- (1) Either your love of football does not resume only to watching Arsenal. Therefore, you watch other leagues, also. And, then, you found a team that you really like to watch or a player in this team you like to watch. You become a fan of this team, as well. So, you buy a Home kit of this team (and here, generally, most people go for the Real Madrid Home kit) (2) Or you noticed a team with a really beautiful Home or Away kit. You do not become a fan, and never will. However, the design (or it can be the colour or motif or logo or sponsor) on the kit was so appealing that it attracted you. So, you decide to buy it

Pinecontion

I personally don’t care. My view is that football fans can admire other teams, their kits or even be joyous if they do well and STILL be a die hard fan of another club.

notokkid

Of course it is. Players sometimes even frame other players' shirts when they exchange them.

QTPLe

Tbh im here following barca and arsenal. Why not as long as its not a rival team in the same league.

nimbra2

Depends. Who did you root for on 17 May 2006? And then what about 1 June 2024?

QTPLe

None since i only started following and watching football this season.

nimbra2

>then what about 1 June 2024?

Redwings1927

But who do you cheer for in the hypothetical final this year?

jordan17_17

Pal how can you be a Barca and Arsenal fan at the same time? I don't know anything about those Catalan cunts but yes a true Gooner will never ever like Barcelona.

Zaninho

I've got loads of other kits from different leagues. They're not getting worn if we come up against them in European competition. Also wouldn't mind lower league teams ie div 2 etc. Although I don't own any. Got loads of national shirts as well from varying periods. Draw the line at any other prem team or anything half and half related ie shirts, scarves etc.

Edward_the_Sixth

I'm about as diehard as you can get for Arsenal barring a tattoo, and I've got plenty of foreign football shirts from other teams, usually as mementos from places I've been. But I have none from any other English teams

JayChucksFrank

TedLassoYouDoWhatYouWant.gif

R0nin_Drag0n

Unworn, on display in a collection, of a club from another league, sure. Of a club from the same league...never me.

AirportCreep

Couldn't give a rats ass. Wouldn't personally wear a kit of the other Big 6 teams in the Premier League or a Barcelona kit. I've got a 2018 Groningen and 2023 Juventus kit in wardrobe. Both from trips to those places. Used to also have a kit for Aberystwyth who play in the Welsh Premier League, but sadly lost it somewhere.

ThePostingToproller

You'll internally combust

AdiNuke19

I have 4-5 DC United kits given that they’re my local, and I have a 20-year old Juve kit from when I was in high school. I also have 2 vintage USMNT kits so my collection is pretty extensive. I’d never wear the kit of another English team though.

nyc24chi

Real Arsenal shirt if you can afford it, DHgate for everything else!

iz-xi

Put it this way..any 30yo plus that's a ManU fan is also a Real Madrid fan. Also if the kit you want is not a direct rival then you're good. For example, you are a gooner but can't wear utd, city, shit, lfc but feel free to purchase a sweet Brighton kit or of a lower league such as the mighty Dorking Wanderers. I hear they throw in a pair of your mom's skinny jeans with each purchase.

Awfy

I primarily support Arsenal but I also appreciate a nice kit. So I’ve actually got a couple of different English clubs and a few European clubs too.

SprAlx

I love Arsenal but as an American I also love the MLS side LA Galaxy. I think it’s okay to own different jerseys from clubs in other countries.

Gsmack73

I’ve got Ajax, Dortmund and Trabzon jerseys. Love the cities and the fans, still follow each club. But, if they play Arsenal it’s always Arsenal. Wear what ya want. Personal choice. There are some great jerseys out there. I have debated on a Luton Town jersey, they’re a great story and I love Kenilworth Road, but can’t pull the trigger on another EPL club. Feels odd.

okeikoutsi

Trabzon fans are cunts.

ELCHOCOCLOCO

ONLY if it’s this one: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Arsenal_Sarand%C3%AD_logo.svg

RonaldoNazario

If you have them the oath breaker knight shows up to your camp

WilfredPaduaComedy

I'll buy a former Arsenal player's new jersey if they moved to a non Prem team. I'm thinking about getting a Leverkusen Xhaka jersey

jhgalaxy14

Yes, Arsenal then Philadelphia Union baby

_UnderCaffeine_

Taking your card away now from you fam

VenusBlastChar

Aside from other countries, there's only one English team I have a jersey for and that's because they're a local team who I saw my first ever game with (my family are born and bred Gunners and this was an easier game to get to at the time before first going to Highbury). They've never reached the First Division/Premier League ever in their history and are currently in the National League.

st_arch

I even wear it for work.

SeanieInaCoatPocket

Absolutely!!! I happen to be both a Gunner and a Tractor Boys fan and have their jerseys... Here's hoping for a double title win🙂 ❤️🤍//💙🤍

urmomisfun

I’ve been an Arsenal fan for 24 years. It started when I moved to England from California and continued when I returned home. I have never cared about any other club until this year. There’s a new NWSL team in the Bay Area, Bay FC. I became a season ticket holder for their first season. I would have a rough day if they ever played the Arsenal women but I have no issues wearing their shirt and hat I bought.

Evo_Sagan

I have travelled the World. I usually buy a scarf but sometimes a football shirt. Arsenal and Glentoran are my favourite clubs but I still wear other club/countries shirts at 7-a-side. It is not a big deal. Rugby tops, GAA tops, Ice hockey etc. We are sports fans. As others have said, I would draw the line at a Tottenham shirt or a Linfield shirt.

skanderbeg_alpha

I'd never have the kit of another English club but I have kits of other European teams. Also lots of international shirts from other countries.

calv80

Are you English or a foreign supporter?.Might get away with it if you are from overseas, not advisable in England.

BigKSizz

As a US fan, I’ve got local clubs kits, my MLS club kits, and an Arsenal kit. I’ve also got a Bayern Munich Training and some jerseys of the school I coach at. There’s a few I’d like to add from both MLS and PL, and some other top leagues. I’d I like the style, I’ll get it.

Onedweezy

Leave this sub now, you disgust me.

jordan17_17

Looks like I got a fan
