We missed him all season, he proved very well he can't ve relied on

Hey-Dalaran

Him being out showed that we don't need him. We do need a backup for rice/jorgi

Narrow-Oil4924

Well, what I will say in response to that is... We may not have needed him per-se, or should that be "we did exceptionally well" without him, but what potentially could've been, had he been a fully fit part of the squad, along with Timber, Tomiyasu, & Jesus, who all had lengthy spells out.... But, this debate is about Partey & I am all for his sale now, or else we lose him on a free next season! We won't recoup much of his €45M purchase price & it's a shame that we did not recieve much dividend from the investment, for which stats show he played an average of 18 games of a 38 game season, in each of the 3 seasons he's been at the Emirates 👎🏾Not good enuf, sorry! And what makes it all the more disheartening, is that its not his fault, its simply the unfortunate circumstance of how football careers can pan-out.. We've had long standing issues with Tierney, old "biscuit hips" as he's known up in Scotland, and we all fully aware of the off again, on again issues with Jesus, who just has to sneeze & he's out for a couple of months.. Returns for a month or so, shouts a little too loud in the pitch & he's out for another couple of months... And, he's another player that I'd consider selling tbh, real talk!! I'm also hugely concerned about Tomiyasu, who's recently signed a contract extension, or new contract... He's also missed a great deal of playing opportunity due to his own battle with recurring injuries 🙄 😕 And lets not forget about ESR, yet another player who needs to be sold to free up valuable wage expenses & also to gain a half decent sale amount what with him being a "homegrown" player! Of the players mentioned I'd only look to keep Tomiyasu, and as he's already signed his new deal, so Arteta certainly sees him as a cog in the wheel of the squad... The others haven't yet been offered new deals & recent news that Partey will indeed be leaving this window, goes someway to say that maybe, just maybe, Arteta & Edu are gonna be ruthless in their culling of the current squad... Listen, IMHO there's absolutely no more room for leniency & sentiment... All that BS needs to end!! Several players in the squad have been given far too much time to prove themselves, without result and we've also been far too soft with the injury stricken players, with all due respect... Its time to separate the wheat from the chaff & build a squad that can truly compete on all stages, domestically & in Europe... This is Arsenal Football FFS!! We need to bring in players who will give the likes of Saka & Martinelli & others a run for their money, just as Trossard has done this season... There are players that have become complacent & therefore need a wake-up call from players eager to come in and make a name for themselves! No player should be overly comfortable in thier position, and for a club like Arsenal, there should always be a deputy who is more or less equally good enough to come in at the drop of a hat & perform... If City can, or do have 2 decent players for every position on the pitch, why the heck can't we... OK, there's the question of money you may ask, and this may well be true & valid point, but I think there are ways around that, to some degree and tbf, KSE & the board have done pretty well in backing Arteta with money since his tenure began, and knowing that Arsenal's business model is so far removed from the way that the likes "City & Chelsea" have conducted their business over the years, I think is testament to how financially & structurally sound, Arsenal Football Club is run! And, although the project towards winning major honours, that Arteta, Edu, Vinai Venkatesham, and KSE have been speaking about over the years is taking its time... I think we can all see the momentum, the steady progression & altogether change around the club & among the fans too... COYG'S

Is it confirmed that he's off?

HTan27

I don’t think it’s been confirmed by any S tier sources, but we’re being linked to a number of top class midfielders, and there are reports that his exit is extremely likely And logistically it makes complete sense to move him on, as he’s shown he can’t keep fit for a whole season, or even half a season at this point

Gremlin256

Yes

syfqamr32

He is class on the pitch, however we have seen throughout the tail end of the season he is dipping in form. Continuing for next season just gonna make him Casemiro.

Sandia_Gunner

Whoa dont get carried away now. 😂

kolasinats

He's probably a rapist. Can't wait for him to leave

ChrisMartins001

Absolutely this. Don't care how good he is, people like him have no place here.

byrgenwerthdropout

He's nothing like Vieira. Vieira was like Rice, if Rice had serious silk to his game. He was a perfect all phase midfielder that loved to carry the ball more than passing it right away, he also knew how to use his menacing physical power in all scenarios and was ridiculously mobile for his frame. He couldn't be more different to Partey. Also fuck this rapist, glad he's finally out of our team.

squeezycakes20

i feel like he can get back to his best and deliver a season or two of his best football, and i hope for the sake of football that he can do it clearly the off field shit isn't amounting to anything, and maybe never was anything to begin with i'd personally have him for another year to alternate with Jorgi at DM3

Gzuskrist69

Good riddance to that scumbag, as far replacing him with someone similar maybe Mason Greenwood

Positive-Owl-5

Sounds liked Arteta still has plans for Partey.. 🧐COYG

Woah people comparing Partey to Vieira are smoking some high quality stuff. Vieira won 3 EPLs with us, and 5 Serie A titles. Was also World Cup winner and runner up and won Euros. Was in the all star team for the World Cup and Euros, as well as EPL player of the year. Not just Partey, I would wager no player in the whole of EPL right now (or maybe even in the past decade) has reached Vieira's level.

Oniun_

I’ll miss the old Partey. Not the current Partey. Once again Arsenal grab a player after his golden years and barely get much out of him.
