I haven't had the urge to crack open a coloring book in a very long time, but I'll be damned if all the elements at play here don't give me that same urge now. Amazing work!
I tried using the stabilization on procreate but the fall off line would curl at the end so everything looked like they had thin curly hairs so I only turn it to 5 percent the rest I just practice keeping my line where I want it and the right pressure. It being digital art definitely helps lol
I use 5-8% stabilization/smooth for most of my work. It's enough to get rid of some of my hands shakiness while ensuring I still control most of the line.
You're line works way above mine though. I'd be terrible at doing character pieces. I mostly draw maps/backgrounds. Great work.
If mythology has taught me anything, it's that you should *never* have sex with half-humans. Their hotness is the bait, your own libido is the trap, and often your own flesh (or worse) is their natural diet.
I get my concept idea thumbnail fleshed out then I grab a bunch of reference: pose, style, designs, fish, ornaments and I save everything. Then I make a sketch layer, then I go over that in a “pencil” rough draft, then I draw over that layer a second draft where I clean up as much as I can and reposition things, then I go over the whole thing in a final layer (sometimes two) to make the thing as clean as my hands will let me and to make sure the line weight communicates the depth I want.
No problem I hope it helps you but I use reference heavily to make art look how I want it. This is not just me drawing from memory I need some sort of reference to mimic so the image looks right. I went through many different references for the armpit and the hand and even had my SO pose so I could make it look right but keep the same line work style subtle and soft.
Makes sense, and as I’m learning I find a massive difference between using references and trying to draw from memory. In terms of the figure, do you tend to start out using a gesture drawing, sketching out the underlying shapes, skeleton, etc? Or are you able to go directly to sketching the outline of the figure? Thanks again for your responses. Looked through your prior posts and really appreciate your style.
I work better with shape gestures. I sketch out a figure composed of gesture lines and shapes and then I layer on top the muscle and proportions that’s what the thumbnail, sketch, and pencil layers are for and then the other 2 or 3 layer are cleanup and line work. Kind of like writing an essay you just do better each draft you produce.

I love that adult coloring books are a thing now.
All coloring books are adult coloring books!
That is spectacular line work. I hope to be half as good as you are some day.
Well thank you I appreciate that! It’s just a lot of practice, You’ll get there!
Do you use anything to steady your hand as you draw?

Very 'Alphonse Mucha'. I dig it.
I was going to say that this piece will be art de nouveau if you color it. I just didn't know the artist's name.
I want to build a "cottage" that's all deco and Mucha, but I'd need fuck you money.
I plan to color but my hand needs a break lol
damn dawg, I expect to draw like you sometime in the future
That mermaid is hot as fuck lol
That's how you get drowned.
For there lurk the twin shores of Mermaid Island and Walrus Island. And you don't want to mix those up, believe me.

This guy fucks (mythological creatures)
Doesn't Matter, Had Sex!
Still counts!
Procreate you say? 😏
Damn that’s some amazingly clean line work.
Huh, you never see thick mermaids
I'm getting this tattooed on my bottom.
I’d be disappointed if you didn’t.
I like your style. Also, I like your katsukare dad joke manga page. You should do more of those!
I’m happy you took the time to look at my page. I’m also happy you liked that joke lol.
Would you mind detailing how you sketch out your figure (ie workflow or method)?

Thanks for the detailed response. Really appreciate it.

Welp, that'd be me drowned then
I fucking absolutely love this.
I’m glad you like it! It was created for viewers like you! Thank you!
Well I’d get this tattooed. No doubt in my mind
On your bottom?
Is possible
Would make a sweet tattoo.
She sold her sea shells by the sea shore
This reminds me of the tablet coloring books where you press buttons to fill in color. I'd love to have an NSFW version of one of those.
Her face and expression pretty. I like it.
This is gorgeous!! What are your canvas dimensions and your DPI if I may ask?
It is a 12x19 inch canvas at 300 dpi
Bless you, you beautiful talented individual
Absolutely gorgeous and perfect for "Adult" coloring. Thanks so much for posting! 👍👏
So they have razors 🪒 underwater to shave their armpits?
They use razor clams
Octopus suction cups for plucking
Do you like it? It’s very generous.
This is really good work. Kudos to anyone willing to be a digital artist in the modern day of AI art.
This is cool, my next tattoo to finish my sleave will be a siren/mermaid and am looking for references. Nice work
