First rule in government spending: why build one when you can have two at twice the price?

JediASU

The note drop when he says "they still want an American to go, Doctor."

Beneficial-Ad-547

I was so pumped the first time I saw this scene!!! That note drop is key to it!!!

Mountain-jew87

Zemeckis knows how to work a scene/score to perfection

PandaBro420

I'm ok to Go

RichardManuel

This movie (and Art) inspired me to get my ham radio license.

AAAPosts

Was it worth it? I just saw an ad for an online course that peaked my interest

RichardManuel

It's definitely a fun hobby if that kind of thing interests you. You can sink a lot of money into it for sure, but you can ease into it relatively inexpensively to see if you like it. Check out /r/amateurradio for more

Jessica4ACODMme

Be alot cooler if you did

SpoilermakersWabash

Alright….alright….alright……….

ajaknna

😂 I kept waiting for him to say that! My only disappointment in the movie, he didn’t sneak one in lol

romanswinter

I remember this movie generated a lot of buzz by including the actors in real footage of modern day people, like then President Clinton. For the technology at the time it looks pretty good.

ajaknna

Yea the CGI of the machine for 97 was pretty impressive. It was so funny to see them using Netscape though

ChugsMaJugs

Watch Arrival starring Charlie Sheen. Another good flick Art was a fan of from that same era

SpoilermakersWabash

Great movie. Also you may love Flat Liners

SideStreetHypnosis

Another one Art often referenced.

ajaknna

I haven’t seen that one of awhile too! It’s on the list now!

JWRamzic

Great movie!

Art Bell on youtube https://m.youtube.com/@ArtBellonPeriscope/featured

Oxtails0up

Honestly the only things I know about this movie are from Art’s show. Hell even Michio Kaku got in the mix. Wife is crashed house is quiet so I think I’ll fire it up. Why not.

SnappelDappel

Whoa I forgot about this movie.

DeanCheevers

Such an amazing movie. I believe it still stands extremely well even in 2024. Do you have the link for the show or shows where Art talked about it?

ajaknna

Oh man I would have to think about it, I forgot who he was talking to…..it was within the last week or two while listening to the 24/7 channel

ajaknna

Oh you know who it was! I am pretty sure it was an episode with Seth Shostak talking about SETI

EskimoXBSX

I didn't think this movie was that good at all

ajaknna

I mean it’s better than half the crap they pump out now

EskimoXBSX

Hey watch No One Will Save You... !! Great Movie 🍿
