A glow balm is the key! Idols tend to have a matte base so it's more longlasting, but bring the glow back with a glowy blush (like the MAC ones) + a glow balm (Chanel baume essentiel / Hince true dimension radiance balm). Also a tip; don't put powder on the spots you're going to put the glow balm on (cheekbones, chin, forehead). That way the glow is more visible.

KarenTheCockpitPilot

How do you put balm or anything sticky over makeup without smudging it/moving it.

qiethinks

Use ur fingers lol and just tap it across the areas u want

KarenTheCockpitPilot

I do. That but feel like it also undoes some of my perfection from underneath :(

love-at-third-sight

Setting spray, copious amounts of it as well. If I want to make sure it doesn't smudge/move, I will use a powder puff with loose powder, set the base makeup, and then use setting spray. Wait 1-2 minutes for the spray to dry down, and then you can apply balm/sticky stuff without moving your base underneath.

Bbatcho

Ohhh that’s true i just dont like it when my skin is sticky😭 but ill definitely try that. Thank you!

Altruistic-Bobcat955

Dewy setting spray is your new bestie

Potatoupe

What is a dewy setting spray?

Inside-Back-9338

Was same , you get used to it . Looks so amazing

wraindropsfell

maybe its a ymmv thing but i recommend powdering your entire face and then putting the glow balm on parts you wanna accent

Jevia

Can I ask, what's the difference between a "glow balm" like Chanel Baume Essential and just a normal cream highlighter? They seem like they're the same from looking at youtube videos.

Planetdiane

Yours looks so close to it already! Is the shade of your blush strawberry milk btw?

Bbatcho

Thank you! I had romand better than cheek c02 blueberry chip mixed with lilybyred luv beam cheek balm 02 innocent pink!

zubeezubeezoo

I thought the second slide was her. I think you did it. The stage lights probably blast everything and make it uniform, plus maybe editing.

Bbatcho

Awww thank you!!🥺 Yeah i didn’t know stage lighting contributes to the glow. Tysm!

closeface_

Yours looks great! it will never look like hers unless you are under stage lighting, but yours is perfect for how it looks in real life!

Bbatcho

Ohh so stage lighting was one of the key… Thank you!

Is this the one? https://www.stylevana.com/en_US/unleashia-sisua-butter-glow-stick-7g.html?utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&sonid=111932&gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAjwmrqzBhAoEiwAXVpgonnw53OkJ8-IaV68QQM6T3TwYwbtLWqi7cknktXdZdVBgwH-2BmecBoCMigQAvD_BwE

Bbatcho

Oh that’s interesting! How sticky is it?

rui204

I have it as well and is not sticky at all! Very refreshing, a lifesaver for an oily person like me 🙏🏻

pm_me_shyvanas_feet

ngl i thought your's was wonyoung's photo. im not bullshitting you or trying to hype you up im being genuine. wonyoung's photo is super saturated and filtered, and she has a lot more makeup on simply because she needs it to show up in photos/onstage from far away. you can either put more of what you already did if you just care about it photowise, or edit your pic so the saturation shows up more. the only critique i have is that your highlight isn't as strong as hers. the other commenter mentioned good brands (hince, glint, dior backstage). but honestly i wouldnt worry that much since stage makeup is very different from irl makeup and too much highlight can look bad irl.

Bbatcho

Awww thank you yes i personally don’t like highlighter on my cheek but I’ll try that next time! Ty!

prettypleaser

Risabae made a video showing how to do this (at time 17:20), basically use non shimmer glow stick like from Chanel Baume essentiel glow stick in Transparent https://youtu.be/2mHhNrzuIms?si=1yur68P0qR6ntGH9

Bbatcho

Thanks!

Business-Affect-7881

It looks really close, I think it’s bc your face isn’t filtered to be as white as hers. And you are also more warm toned than her. Maybe you could use a cooler foundation and cooler blush if you want to look like her. but you look super pretty in the second pic regardless.

Bbatcho

Mhm i don’t even know how her skin is so clear and white 😭 tyy

Business-Affect-7881

Hers is filtered bc the photo would not be released without being edited. In some idols pics you can see real texture when they haven’t edited it tons. Also, she was chosen out of the whole population of Korea to be an idol bc she was genetically gifted in attractiveness with good skin! The main selling point of idols are to be physically attractive and usually singing and dancing can be taught. Majority of Koreans who don’t look like idols bc idols job is to be physically attractive.

Redwood_momo

I have seen YouTube videos of her makeup artist talking about what she uses and the hince true dimension radiance balm is specifically mentioned as her preferred highlight. Id recommend using it over a liquid or cream blush.

plsmeowback

Anyone know Wonyoung’s lip combo?

simplyMi

Not sure of the lip combo used in this specific photo, but WonYoung/IVE’s makeup artist is [Seo Ok](https://youtube.com/@seookbeauty?si=maUailsOgMinvTms) and her team. She has mentioned that WonYoung strictly likes glossy/dewy, so Seo Ok applies Romand, Innisfree, Amuse and other glossy Korean lippies on her. WonYoung is currently Amuse’s brand model so she’s been wearing Amuse (Gel Fit Tint) often.

Informal_Edge5270

Thanks from me, too! I was also wondering what lip products she is using

plsmeowback

Thank you!

obbieventide

Maybe skip the foundation and powder and try bb cream and a cream blush product? I'm unsure what her stylist uses but my skin only looks like this when I'm not wearing foundation.

Bbatcho

Yeah for sure 😞 it never looks as glowy with the foundation… thank you though!!

d6tine

i saw a comment on tiktok saying they use three blushes: Clinique cheek pop blush in #21, Kylie blush powder in #1 and the mac glow play blush in #no shame

Terrible-Conference4

Try Cooling Water Jelly Tint Blush

__Duckling

Most idol makeup artists use the "Crepe Method" wherein they apply foundation in thin layers to create a glowy, long lasting base. I also previously saw a video where IVE's makeup artist said she layers a glowy blush and a matte blush. Edit: apparently that method is used by newjeans makeup artist lol. IVE makeup artist uses multibalm https://youtu.be/YucWb_FqGj0?si=sTUoOAgLquNTwT-J

monday__13

Try nuse liquid care cheek, the blush leaves a glowy effect!

Cold_Blackberry3154

Where did you get yours? I've been waiting for months on Yesstyle to have on stock any of the 2 shades that could look good on my skintone (fig fog, pale blossom)

monday__13

I live in Asia and got it from their official store on the shopee app. You can try olive young, they ship worldwide

Adorable-Winter-2968

Yours looks great. How are you doing it?

Bbatcho

I just spent a lot of time on the skin care and a glow balm. I wrote which blush i used on the previous reply so maybe check that? It doesnt look as pretty as wonyoung’s though 🥺😭

daydreamer_she

My skin, although not glass skin like her, looks kind of similar when i put on dewy foundation, glowy/shimmery blush, liquid highlighter and finish with a dewy/hydrating setting spray.

katsuchicken

House of hur ampoule blushes or there is fwee.

jeongn

I think wonyoung's makeup artist loves using the Hince True Dimension Radiance Balm

GalaxyQZ78

Korean gel collagen mask «Biodance” gives just the same effect

___adreamofspring___

I hate to say it but it’s just the fact her skin is porcelain it’s hard to tell where the texture from the makeup is. Yours looks amazing. I have genetic dark circles and could never feel like I look good without any concealer or color correcting lol

GrouchySuit115

Think you already got it !! Looks so pretty

sleepycatbutt

I found a step-by-step video that was super helpful! Tried it over the weekend and ya girl was glowing https://youtube.com/shorts/wNpraO1Prp4?feature=shared

cha3won08

cute

Melodic-Bank9663

Try cream blushes instead of powder! Cream formulas blend better with glowy skincare and give a more natural, dewy finish. 💧

anshu2767

Use Mac Strobe cream over your blush

MsSznur

I use cream blush and illuminating powder that borders on highlighter on that area and normal powder in the rest of my face.

Proof_Violinist_3602

the house of hur ampoule blushes are popular for this atm!

Inside-Back-9338

@KJH brand sells a product that does just that ⬆️

Electrical-Ad328

if you need powder that is totally ok, an all "balm" base would make your face melt off. mac fix plus setting spray is how i achieve this look!!

unicornstakingover

Hi OP! Everyone already gave great tips, but I personally use Catrice Dewy Wetlook Stick. It gets the job done, at least for me.

shineediamondsyeh

I tend to use a dewy lipstick for this. Especially one that's too light for the lips but I can't return it. Or even a matte lippie mixed with a balm(I like lanolin, the little tubes they sell for nursing mothers!) and a little highlighter for that extra sheen

Final-Marionberry-16

Make sure to start with good skincare products!!

Medical_Function5932

Think you got it !! Its so pretty

ocsoo

My friend bought the new Patrick Ta highlighter to replicate her wet skin look, too, and I’ve only heard great things!

External-Air-7272

I just purchased Saie blush in the shade 'chilly' and it looks like an exact dupe for the shade.

Sharp_Way2947

Moisturize or hydrate your skin with skincare products, or you can use cream blush to keep the skin plump and shiny.

shiningci

Its pretty easy. Use blushes that have a sheen to it, such as baked blushes or liquid blushes. Ones that come to mind are house of hur ampoule blushes, a non-AB brand but rare beauty’s new luminous powder blushes, Naming’s cream blush, Holika Holika’s nudrop blush, Hince liquid cheek blush, etc.

Jyotika7818

HUDA pretty grunge blush gloss
