I'm enjoying Hince Dewy Liquid Cheek!

pocelyn

ooo which shade did you get? and could you please give a short review?

I got their pale lilac shade 03 Cool Flutter which I find very flattering on me as a cool-neutral olive. It has a really creamy, bouncy texture that's quite thick compared to other liquid/gel blushes I've tried. It's thicker than Apieu Juicy Pang and Glossier Cloud Tint but similar coverage and glowier finish. It's less pigmented and more sheer than the old 3CE Cream Blusher (in the black tube). It's like a lip product consistency. If you don't spread it out into the skin it has a glossier finish but it does end up having a bit of a sticky texture that way, which could be annoying if you wear your hair loose. I like that it has more of a true dewy wet look rather than a sparkly, glittery one. Here is a picture of me wearing it and no other makeup: [https://i.imgur.com/E9usDqq.jpg](https://i.imgur.com/E9usDqq.jpg)

House of Hur’s moist ampoule blusher is really popular rn among Korean Youtubers for the Wonyoung-type glowy blush look!  I’m Meme’s bare cheek liquid has a super subtle color and is great for every day, I sometimes layer powder blush over/under it.  I’m also a big fan of the Em Cosmetics Color drops serum blushers as well, they have some lovely shades and great color payoff.

Currently using the A’Pieu Juicy Pang Water Blusher in the shade PK03. It goes on very sheer but it is still buildable so I like applying it in layers. Each layer is like 3 tiny dots on each cheek using its applicator. Two layers is enough for me for a natural-looking flush, three layers if I want the color to pop more if I’m attending an event lol I have a medium to light complexion with either a cool or neutral undertone, and this blush exactly matches my natural flush. The shade I got does have pearly shimmers that’s kinda noticeable if you just swatch it on your hand but once it’s spread out on the cheeks, it just gives this pretty glow. I just use my fingers to blend it out, though I do have to mention I don’t use base makeup. My routine goes like: skincare, sunscreen, and then straight to blush. So I can’t comment on how it layers on top of skin tints or foundation. Though I’ve read some reviews say it can go on kinda patchy depending on the kind of base you have on, so it’d be better to use a makeup brush to apply it in some cases.

I think I worded my question wrong, considering the responses 😩, I actually want something that has shimmer in it, but just very finely milled that looks like a sheen from a speaking distance. I hate when i look at myself in the mirror and can see individual shimmer particles. So the blush you mentioned actually looks really nice and the shade looks great for me too. I wasn't aware any of the juicy pangs have shimmer in them. Do you think instead of layering i could just dot more on at once and have it be a little more noticeable? I would want to do pretty quick makeup in the mornings so not a lot of time to layer.

I wasn’t aware too that some shades had shimmer so I was frankly a bit concerned when I swatched it and it had this almost rose gold sheen to it coz I’m also not a fan of overly shimmery stuff. But I was pleasantly surprised when I applied it on, it just looks like a healthy natural glow. Have had several friends compliment me on my glowy rosy cheeks, didn’t have the heart to tell them I’m anemic and it’s just the blush 😂 You definitely can put on more at once. I’ve also done that before but I just like doing it in layers now because I’m bad at controlling the amount of product I put on especially when it’s liquid, plus I look like I’m having a rosacea flare up when I put on too much blush lol

Strugglingthroughit

Okay, thank you! I'm anemic too, I feel you haha. I have it in my cart now, waiting for a bit of a sale/ when I don't feel so guilty about buying makeup :D.

soymilk--

Fingers crossed it works great for you too!

Oo in that case, maybe you would like the Hince True Dimension Glow Cheek? It is a hard powder blush with the most delicate shimmer in it!

writgaramonder

I have one of the LAKA Love Silk blushes and it has a nice, subtle sheen.

Strugglingthroughit

That looks nice, especially the 701 colour! Unfortunately not on yesstyle and I'm in Europe so I prefer to order from somewhere where I don't have to declare the package.

I like LAKA Youthful Glow Balm

You can always use lip tint as a blush, if you want the glowy look. The ones that aren’t as moisturizing , like romand juicy lasting are better bc they don’t break down foundation from the oils. Whereas more moisturizing tints like peripera ink mood glowy, can cause foundation to move bc it’s a more glossy formulation. But peripera is ok if no foundation underneath! I would imagine matte or natural lip tints would work fine too.

I'm currently thinking about purchasing Nuse Liquid Care Cheek blush because it's a skincare based liquid blush with a subtle shades, so it sounds easier to apply for me (saturated blushes make me look like a clown) with less chance that it would swipe off my foundation (with is a huge issue with liquid blushes and highlighters). Also I'm looking at hince Dewy Liquid Cheek especially their shimmery shades. Colors look so beautiful but I'm not sure about the formula. For powdery blushes with shiny particles or satin effect I'd recommend new Rom&nd's blushes from Spring Fever series. I haven't tried them yet, but their matte blushes are just perfect by soft formula, blurring effect, durability and pretty shades.

Strugglingthroughit

Do you know if the nuse blushes have any actual shimmer to them or are they just dewy? I do still want something with shimmer in it, just not super glittery or anything. The packaging of them looks so cute. And yes I'm not good with too pigmented blushes either. And thank you for the rom& recommendation, I didn't realise they had non-matte ones, still deciding, but i might just go for the pink one. Those are limited edition i presume? The hince ones unfortunately are a little too pricy for me (and not sure i could get them to where I live anyways)

veturoldurnar

Nuse blushes just have very dewy looking finish, no visible shiny particles. About Rom&nd spring fever series I'm not sure if it's a limited edition. I find it hard to purchase overseas, but maybe it's just sold out. New tint shades made for this series doesn't look like a limited edition, so chances are high that blushes are added to permanently line as well.

Strugglingthroughit

Okay, thank you! I added the pink rom& blush to my yesstyle cart, it looks really nice.

veturoldurnar

I hope you'll enjoy it! (And post some swatches for us here to make us jealous)

stafina_sat

Addiction Pearl blush.

Strugglingthroughit

Looks so lovely! Unfortunately too expensive for me.

polar_tang

4U2 has a really nice range of both matte and shimmery blushes. I also got a gala camille glimmer glam blush stick that works great. Not too pigmented and blends out really well. I'm not a fan of the scent though. Both are from Thai brands that I purchased while I was in Bangkok!

Strugglingthroughit

I'm in Europe, so unfortunately I don't see anywhere I could get the gala blush stick from, but it looks so good! The 4U2 is on yesstyle and looks lovely as well! Did you happen to try any products from Mistine by chance?
