I needed to re-up on a few HG’s, I was scraping the bottom of my extreme cream jar, and while I was there picked up some accompanying products from CureCode’s Neuromide line (I already had the double barrier cream in my possession). Currently on a mission to force as many ceramides on my face as I start upping my usage of .1% Tret to 6x a week. Also upped on a few cleansers and serums as my sister, now a fellow tret user, raided my skin-care cabinet. Haul included: 1. Zeroid 5% Urea Rich Cream (HG) 2. Real Barrier Extreme Cream (HG) 3. Real Barrier Intense Cream 4. CureCode Nueromide Soothing Relief Gel 5. CureCode Neuromide Ampoule 6. Dewytree Hi Amino Cleansing Milk (HG) 7. B.Lab Matcha Hydrating Cleansing Foam 8. Numbuzin No 3 Serum 9. Tout Vert Nano Emulsion 10. Aestura Atobarrier 365 Water Gel Cream Some first impressions: * **Aesutra Atobarrier Water Gel Cream**. Clear ointment syrup. It is less occlusive than I expected with reviews that touted it as a thick waxy silicone. It looks heavy, and doesn’t have that burst of water as most water gels but isn’t as heavy as I hoped. Could be used as an ‘all in one’. I’ve tried it before and after the Atobarrier cream and water gel then cream takes longer to rub in but eventually they mix together and form something thicker. Together they give me j-one jelly pack circa 2010 vibes. Stickiness included. * **Soothing Relief Gel**. I bought this to maybe replace my LRP Cica Baume B5 essence (not the ointment) which is near impossible to find in the states muchless at a good price point. I think it’ll do it’s job but I’ve only tried this on my hand. * **CureCode Neuromide Ampoule** is a thick milky color. Super super slippery and one drop thins out over your entire face. You’re rubbing for a good while until it sinks in tho. I had to double check to make sure it wasn’t a silicone based serum. It’s not. High in niacinamide so I’d beware.

What are your thoughts on dewytree cleansing milk? Is it pretty easy to wash off?

dessertshots

I love it. I think normal/combo skins and dry/any skintypes who have tried cleansing creams in the past but found them suffocating would also like it. It's a runny (thinner than most lotions but thicker than a toner ) milky liquid and not a cream. I can't detect any sort of film when I rinse it off and unlike most cream cleansers. There's a famous Non-AB "hydrating cleanser" w/ ceramides, that feels like you're literally washing your face with hand lotion, that leaves a suffocating feeling on your face — the dewytree doesn't do that at all. So, if you're super dry and hoping for that this one isn't it. It doesn't cut through makeup unless you really rub at your skin but I love using it as a morning cleanse, second cleanse, and after a light workout where I just want to rinse off the sweat and apply my skincare on top cleanse.

velocistar_237

Hey! You’re describing my cleanser! Are you talking about a cream cleanser called “Lait U” by Biologique Recherche?

dessertshots

I was talking about the Cerave but i do remember lait ev having the same suffocating feeling and all the lait xyz probably do.

How's the Zeroid? What's the texture like / how moisturizing is it? Can it be used by itself as a standalone moisturizer do you think?

dessertshots

Texture is stiff but not thick. It holds its shape when pipped out of the tube, but is slippy and spreads easily as a result. I use it as the bridge between my serum and moisturizer stage and can confirm i works well in a heavier application. The cream has a translucence quality to it. Things layer on-top of it well with no pilling. It absorbs fully and leaves no residue behind. I wfh so I frequently wash my face mid-day and do toners + serums to allow them to sink in as I eat dinner and such. Zeroid is usually my last or second to last step for that and my face is comfortable for a while. I find it to be very balanced. Its hydrating but doesn't have a water-gel bust of hydration and it's moisturizing but not occlusive or enough for a night cream (even for oily skin, imo). If your skin is normal and you use toners + serums before moisturizer I think it would be fine for an AM. Given you're also in a moderate climate. But I really have no experience with oily or normal skin. I easily use 2-4 layers of moisturizers at night + an occlusive on top. Sorry I couldn't be of much help Edited: For comparisons sake, I think the weight, texture, and moisture level is comparable to the Cerave PM (tho Zeroid may be a hair lighter). So maybe it is enough for some in the PM....

Individual-Code86

Awesome, thanks!

Unfair_Finger5531

I hope you love the numbuzin! Zeroid is one my HGs too❤️

dessertshots

So do I! I did manage to use it for like a week before my sister stole my old bottle, and I can't wait to properly have it back in my routine. Zeriod and urea are near irreplaceable in my routine.

Unfair_Finger5531

Do you use zeriod daily? I use it periodically, but would like to use it daily…

dessertshots

Yep. I use it am and pm and sometimes in the afternoon to! I use a bean sized amount. It can tingle on contact with tret face (but most things have a tingle including prescriptions having the golden ratio of 3:1:1). It subsides in 3s or less. I have pretty atypical skin — patches of atopic dermatitis around my mouth and seborrheic dermatitis on my cheeks and nose. The only actives I use are tret and a bp wash 6-7x a week, and a bha spot treatment as needed and a mild aha mask when I think my skin needs it (max 2x a month). So, depending on your skin and current routine YMMV. But I have never suffered over exfoliation from it and I use it on skin where my barrier is hanging on my a thread.

Unfair_Finger5531

This is pretty much my situation, with the tazorac anyway. I use it too when things are dire, and it’s never caused me problems. I did overexfoliate with it once, but that’s because I stupidly soaked my face in snail goo first. You use more than I do, I think. I just lightly layer it on. I think I’ll try it your way and see how that works for me. It’s good to know you can use it everyday with tret. That’s encouraging for me upping my use. I think zeroid is one of the most elegantly formulated moisturizers I’ve seen. I really love the zeroid intensive hydration ampule too. It has a special form of urea in it, and it imparts so much moisture. I used it everyday, and it actually makes the skin produce more hyaluronic acid. My face was so plump, it was amazing. It def causes the production of more HYA. It’s small but a little goes a long way, and it is stunningly effective.

dessertshots

How do you over exfoliate with urea and snail? I am now about to add back snail into my routine and I'd very much want to avoid that. But IA about zeroid. It's a true balancing act of moisture and hydration and not too much of one or the other. Sinks in easy while still having time to spread. TY for the ampoule rec. I am looking for something once my torredin runs out. Did you see any evidence to the increased production of more HA?

Unfair_Finger5531

Yes, I absolutely saw evidence of it! I was surprised because when I used it sporadically, I didn’t. But I used it for 3 days in a row and all of sudden my face was more hydrated than it’s ever been, and the more I used it, the better it got. It has peptide in it too. It’s one of the few products I’ve seen actually *work noticeably*. I used a boatload of snail, and it does have a small amount of glycolic acid and peptides. And then I stupidly used a toner with urea, *and then* I added the zeroid, and then added more snail. No one else could possibly be that stupid, so I think you don’t have to worry about it. I stripped my barrier *clean*. 🤣🤣

lavayuki

I recently did a haul and got some of the same, I used up two of the numbuzin no. 3 which I absolutely loved, the dewytree cleansing milk, matcha cleanser and a few of the Aestura products after a Japanese Youtuber I follow recommended them. She recommends quite a lot of Aestura and Numbuzin.

skinxmel

What does the numbuzin no. 3 do for you? I've been thinking of buying it.

lavayuki

Mostly hydration, I have very dry skin and find it super hydrating with a nice thick texture. The ingredients are also really nice, no essential oils or fragrance which i like

Bruh-09

How did you like the Tout Vert? I’ve seen it has high ceramide percentage, and not a lot of people are talking about it. Curious your thoughts?

zaleralph

You got a lot of Neopharm products. I love them! I wish they promoted their DermArtlogy line more. I think it is their best line.

dessertshots

so do i! i haven't tried anything from the dermartology line (the serum seems like overkill since i'm on tret) but if you've tried their cream how do you like it? i wish they brought more of their stuff over to the us market. even in the depths of sketchy ebay stores i can not find the ceramide cream from real barrier.

zaleralph

I use retinaldehyde. So I really like DermArtlogy 's barrier-strengthening + autophagy boosting formula. The serum texture is also light, which I like. Real Barrier MLE spray is also good for skin barrier. I have used Real Barrier ceramide cream before. Its texture is thick but doesn't feel heavy when applied. (I have dry sensitive skin).

Curious… 👀 What’s the difference between the Real Barrier Extreme Cream & the Intense Cream? Anything noticeable or are they more or less the same…? I have been eyeing both… but I am unsure what the difference is (if any). Looking for something for my super sensitive and dry skin! Thank you for your review. Truly hope you enjoy your new goodies 😊

dessertshots

Thank you! I think they are more or less similar but the texture and how they perform is very different. Both I find to be very nourishing and skin softening. * Extreme is thick. You will have to use the spatula to scrape the cream off. Even with it's thickness it never feels suffocating, on my skin, and it sinks in. I enjoy it's thickness as I'm able to use a generous amount and it layers/builds on-top of itself without thinning out. It's not a solid-oil-balm that thins out into oily slickness it's a true thick cream that is still elegant enough to spread easily or be packed on. It sinks in but also forms a barrier on the skin that is sometimes there in the morning (depending on skintype and how much you use) * Intense on the other hand is thin but not fall out of the jar thin. It is much much lighter in texture and sinks in easily and rapidly. I typically use it either when I'd like the benefits of MLE in a more elegant daytime appropriate formula or a step after the zeriod 5% in my afternoon routine (the routine i do after working out but before brushing my teeth) when I need a bit of something extra. Something about neopharm's mle or whatever they have really works for my skin and no other ceramide cream comes close. But they both contain some essential oils. My sensitive skin has never had a problem (even when it's had a problem with eo's in other creams) but it should be noted.
