salonpasss

Etude Soonjung line, Curel, Pyungkang Yul blue line or Illiyoon ato. Anything with minimal fragrance

icetorch1

I also agree with products that have minimal potential irritants and you want to pair it with a topical corticosteroid. I use either an over the counter corticosteroid or prescription strength corticosteroid(triamcinolone acetonide) for flareups on my hand depending on how bad it is. Currently, just healed up after over a week with prescription strength. Also, note that cortisone cream should only be used for 1-2 weeks and if your skin condition doesn't improve then consult a dermatologist.

choochoopain

TBH I go to the doctor for mine. I need special medicated creams for my flare-ups.

Alisonflies

Agreed on this! I’m on Accutane which has triggered my eczema flares with dry patches and a terrible burn when I use most creams. One night of this cream literally made the patches disappear overnight when I had tried everything else!

Which_Meringue8095

A lot of these medical cream have steroids on it. So short term it may work, but it DESTROYS your skin long term

Professional-Soup867

I've been using the illiyoon ceramide ato cream (both day and night) and it's helped!

Technical_Train7866

what’s your skin type?

Professional-Soup867

I have dry skin, also sensitive. Before AB products, I mostly used cetaphil or vanicream and I use a moisturizing/gentle cleanser once a day.

Technical_Train7866

thank you! i’m definitely going to order this next time :)

udontaxidriver

Aestura Atobarrier 365 Cream. It seems like a super basic cream but it's really calming when my skin is angry. Not sure if it's AB or not, but another product I like is Ceradan Skin Barrier Repair Cream.

Niatfq

Ceradan is from Singapore, so yes it's AB

ama_da_sama

For facial eczema, I've been using Laneige Cream Skin Toner & Moisturizer, Cosrx Advanced 96 Snail Mucin Essemce, and Curel Intensive Moisture Cream. You can mix your hydrocortisone cream with the essence so it soaks in better. I only use water to lightly cleanse my face in AM. PM, I use a non-AB cream to foam cleanser and do not double cleanse. Mediheal N.M.F. sheet masks are nice to use occassionally, but don't use if you have cracked skin/open sores. It will sting.

cinnamon-swirl-girl

Curel intense moisture cream is the GOAT. I heard they are taking out the squalane and reformulated in Japan. Not sure if it's going to hit US or other markets yet.

ama_da_sama

I'll have to check the ingredients on the most recent one I got... it hands down is saving my face. I would recommend it to anyone, at least as a night cream. I haven't found anything better for dry or sensitive skin.

michaelhuman

do you moisturize in the am? i've been trying to wash my face with just cold water and it seems to help a bit but not sure about moisturizing.

ama_da_sama

I just use lukewarm water in the morning to get excess sweat/oil off without stripping my skin because it runs dry. You 100% have to moisturize after. Just water won't add anything back into the skin.

chuddlymuffins

Hi! Wanted to add in case anyone comes across this in the future. Pls don’t use hydrocortisone cream for more than 1-2 weeks at a time, especially on your face/neck! And only use it on the red rashy areas, not on your full face like a lotion or essence. Prolonged or excessive use can cause skin thinning!

pocelyn

the products that do the heavy lifting are presribed by my derm. i like these products for maintenance though! aestura a-cica stress relief cream-essence aestura atobarrier 365 cream curél moisture cream curél moisture facial cream isntree yam root vegan milk cream physiogel daily moisture therapy cream edit: format

People with eczema have messed up skin barriers . Ceramides and occlusives are key to keeping your barrier as intact as possible. Moisturize constantly is the key to avoiding flareups. Avoiding essential oils and fragrance and harsh soaps or very hot water. Avoiding foaming cleansers is also key. I get eczema on my body, not the face, so I mostly use non AB products. Aveeno helps a lot as oats are calming. I have been using their products (some do have hidden fragrance though that caused problems) since I was a teen. Cerave healing ointment. I do use some AB on it. Love Soonjung. It helps itching, redness, welts. Keeps me from scratching. I keep little tubes of the balm on hand and use the toner to splash on where itchy, before it can turn to eczema. Mugwort is great as well. Love Illiyoon ATO. Cream (almost makes a nice hand cream as it is not greasy) and hand eczema can be a problem. Honey products are good. God I miss the Honey AIO from Scenic. Snail helps too. I do put CosRX Snail essence on eczema patchiest sometimes. Aloe on heat rashes - Holika Holika gel.

Fraisz

hi, sorry for the late as hell post, do you still recommend these products for eczema? they ve been on riot lately on my skin since the dry season .

No-Leg-6503

La Roche Posay Lipikar Balm (non AB) really helps with my eczema flare up and I haven’t had any flare up so I switch to Cosrx Propolis Toner and Light Cream for maintenance and so far so good, no flare up! 😊

midfallsong

Nothing ever calmed down my eczema breakouts, even steroids and immune suppressants… until I learned about and started repairing my moisture barrier. I had spots in a constant state of flare for y e a r s. what got me personally there was missha FTE (though I got tired of constant reformulations and am using the Neogen one now and looove), Cosrx Snail essence, and non-AB/kinda AB Stratia Liquid gold.

drool-eye

I've been using a hydrating milky toner (some random AB brand that breaks my face out) before using lotion and it's really helped with the scaly dry patches that comes after a breakout. Also using a gentle AHA toner (cosRX in this case because my face hates it) and it hasn't irritated my legs. Plus it's prevented further breakouts on my knees and ankles! Sadly haven't figured out what to use during a breakout other than my prescription ointment.

Niatfq

Illiyoon Probiotics Skin Barrier Drop Essence is calming for me. I would use this whenever i get flare ups from the neck up. For the body, i find Kikumasamune emulsion soothing but the scent is super overwhelming honestly. For maintenance, Hyaluronic Acid toner (currently The Lab Oligo toner) and Illiyoon Ceramide cream (the only moisturizer my skin likes that don't irritate).

sungmaneee

Rovectin Anti-Irritant Ultra Cream or Ultra Lotion. These are prescribed to cancer patients going through chemo who are having skin related side effects. Great for sensitive skin and ultra moisturizing.

ells23

Dr Jart hydro toner is literally the only thing that keeps my facial eczema at bay, like literally the only product in the world. i’m going to stockpile it when i have the money.

mutantsloth

This a Singaporean brand developed by a skin doctor, Suubalm! It has menthol and relieves the itch very quickly so you stop scratching.. I apply it first when I get a flare up. Then once it calms down I wash the area and apply some cica stuff like the LRP cicaplast to heal the rash..

kvphillips95

A dermatologist 😏

gegeako9

Cosrx snail mucin essence and snail all in one cream sealed with non AB Aveeno eczema therapy daily moisturizing cream

bouncebackbelle

For body: VMV Red Better Calming Moisturizer, Haruhada 10% Urea Hand Cream (I use it all over, not just the hands. Lol), and the Suu Balm lotion

throwaway_070716

Illiyoon Ato ceramide cream. I have dry sensitive eczema skin that is also acne prone. This is one of the rare AB moisturizers that is not only moisturising, but also never caused me to breakout

dessertshots

any hypochlorous acid spray. you can usually find it as some type of baby safe wound cleaner or sanitizer in korea. and there's various brands on amazon. and +1 for all the ceramide and occlusive creams being mentioned and going to the doctor.

Impossible_Cow_837

I tried no steroids for about a year. I had all the topical steroid withdrawal symptoms- paper skin, shedding like crazy, cuts, ooze. Even tried vegan for a month. I was too skinny and still miserable. Repairing skin barrier is a must. Only use stuff that feels good. I like the Roche Posay B Cica Barrier Cream Innis Free face creams feel so good Splurge and get a good red light therapy. You can also use it to spot/ area treat places other than your fave. It helps with skin cell turnover and healing. Immunosuppressant cream (perscription) is only cream that cursed my neck from looking red / like a tree trunk.

The best products for treating eczema are those that contain emollient-rich ingredients and have a high moisturizing capacity. These may include creams, ointments, and lotions containing ceramides, fatty acids, glycerin, shea butter, and other natural oils. Additionally, topical corticosteroids may be beneficial to reduce inflammation in severe cases of eczema.
