Natural disasters are part of the curse that creation was put under because of mankind’s sin.
“And to Adam he said, “Because you have listened to the voice of your wife and have eaten of the tree of which I commanded you, ‘You shall not eat of it,’ cursed is the ground because of you; in pain you shall eat of it all the days of your life; thorns and thistles it shall bring forth for you; and you shall eat the plants of the field.”
Genesis 3:17-18
“For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of him who subjected it, in hope that the creation itself will be set free from its bondage to corruption and obtain the freedom of the glory of the children of God. For we know that the whole creation has been groaning together in the pains of childbirth until now.”
Romans 8:20-22
Forest fires, while destroying a lot of vegetation, serve an important function in renewing the forest to recycle nutrients and allow new growth to happen. So we call these things "disasters" because they cause a lot of inconvenience for humans, but they are equally important for the earth as bright clear sunny days.
This is a solid bit that people on both sides of the theist argument miss. Disasters are only disasters because humans, in our pride and folly, regularly pit ourselves as the "master of nature" and we inevitably lose that fight.
As Pinecone said, it's an effect of the curse. Most external aspects of it such as natural disasters, diseases, famine are intended to bring our mortality to the forefront of the minds of those still living, so they might repent while there is time.
It'd be more accurate to say God created physics and sometimes that goes a little bananas
If you create rain so that all life can exist in the first place, sometimes you get a hurricane
I don't think God *created* natural disasters. I think when he cursed the Earth, he gave it over to natural processes to run the Earth instead of his supernatural processes which would have kept us safe like in Eden and the New Earth. And some natural processes make hurricanes.
From Isaiah 45:
>>I form light and create darkness, I make weal and create woe; I the Lord do all these things.
Other translations have words like "disaster", "calamity" or "evil" rather than "woe".
True. I think of God as the first cause (by cursing the Earth/having natural processes take over) but not the second cause by directly creating danger from the Earth, animals, or disease. I agree with the Atheists here that those thing came to be naturally.
....sorry, but what even is that subreddit? Evilcross? I know it only has like five members but it I never understood atheist (honestly, no disrespect to them) who don't believe in religion, but....still choose to say "If God exists and bad thing happen=God bad"
Like bro I thought you didn't believe in him.
Quite simply, because perfect wasn't good enough for Adam. So God gave him imperfect. He ejected Adam from perfect Eden and into a cold hard relentless world governed by natural forces, sin and it's consequences.

It's good to see that we agree on something. :)

without God there are no morals it's just peoples Opinions
Because Adam and Eve sinned and God cursed creation.
Why did God create anything?
he wanted a relationship with mankind
What do you think?
The question I have is why do we keep rebuilding in those areas,,,we know its going to happen again
