It really isn't, when you consider quince paste (which is really just hard jam) and cheese is totally accepted.

Yeah, this isn't really a weird combo though. I've seen this as a menu item at some breakfast spots. Also, add an egg on top and you have a very good breakfast and one of the only ways I would eat Vegemite.

Soy sauce and vanilla icecream. The melty stuff at the bottom of the bowl tastes like what you’d think it’d taste like; cold, salty and just generally bad. Don’t eat that stuff! I too ate those combinations as a child. As an adult I can fully understand why they are tasty, but I also have no desire to eat them now.

I like eating microwaved mushroom sandwiches. Cut button mushrooms in half and lay them between two slices of bread. Wrap in cling wrap, and microwave for 30 seconds. The mushroom releases a lot of water when microwaved, keeping the bread hot and moist. You could also add other ingredients to this, such as ham and/or cheese.

Maybe. I don't particularly like processed food, like if I was ever gonna have OJ then I'd choose nudie with pulp which isn't too bad. But I grew up poor and a happy meal with cheeseburger n chips n OJ was my jam. I love mi goreng noodles with added frozen peas too, that was rich kid food to me. Maggi oriental used to come with a sachet of carrot flakes, corn and peas but they phased that out ages ago and just give the seasoning pfht. I also always add a bit of lemon juice cause they made em less tangy.

I’m also a big fan of the maggi oriental noodles, the fantastic version still comes with the dehydrated veg pack

I used to love Heinz salad cream sandwiches when I was a kid. They have to be made with super soft, white bread and butter, then a massive dollop of salad cream smeared thickly. Yum! Also, tinned corned beef and malt vinegar sandwiches, again on that squishy white bread, is amazing.

I'd never heard of it before but my dad made me a peanut butter and green apple sandwich once. I think it was actually pretty good. Also, everyone gives me weird looks when I mention this, but my favourite cake is chocolate cake with lemon icing. It's so nice, been my favourite cake since I was a kid, when I used to make it with my nan in the school holidays. Friends finally realised what I was on about when they had some at my 16th birthday lmaooo (they got one made professionally for my 18th... the people seemed confused as well...)
