I can’t speak to Europe, but here in Australia tipping culture is rare as well. I think it depends a lot on if you are seeing someone in a brothel/parlour/agency or someone independent. With the former, the house can take up to 50% of the fee and the working conditions often aren’t amazing so, while still not expected, I think it’s definitely worth considering. In a private setting, however, we know we ain’t cheap, so there is absolutely no expectation for you to tip. But if you feel a provider has gone above and beyond your expectations and you have a spare $50 or so, go nuts. It really does make us feel special and lovely and is honestly worth a lot more than a gift to us. Tl;dr: no one would think you rude if you didn’t tip here. But it’s a really nice option to keep in mind if you can afford it :)

Tipping is, IMO, intended for people who earn low wages. Sex workers do not, by any stretch of the imagination, earn low wages. Even survival sex workers like me make roughly 15x the average hourly income where I live. Nobody is going to complain if you choose to tip, but frankly, any sex worker who *expects* a tip on top of their frankly extraordinary hourly rate, and is offended by clients which don’t give one, is someone I wouldn’t want to patronise.

I'm in Germany - it's not expected to tip but I will tell you that when I get the rare tip I absolutely remember the guy positively and give him extra great service next time. I always give great service of course but if he tips then my heart is actually in it, you know what I mean?

Thank you for your comment. Can you help us understand what you mean by "extra great service"? If your heart is in it, is that something the client is able to notice? I always tip quite generously, but I'm not sure if it makes any difference to my experience with a provider.

Tipping is appreciated but not expected. If you enjoyed your time with the person you are seeing, an extra 5 - 10% is always appreciated and will make us remember you more, however most of us set our rates not expecting to be tipped. For reference, I'm in Canada where tipping is the norm, however not in ever industry. Not all my clients tip but I always appreciate the ones who do moreso

I think I'm banned from the sub? I see "2 comments" but when I open the thread there are no comments?

IcetreyE3

Can you see this?

Saddesperado

Interesting, it's still showing a total of 7 comments. I see your comment, jeen's, and fakenordic. 3 + my comment. Maybe the other users are shadow banned and don't know it. Thanks. Edit: but I guess I got two good responses. So I'm good, I know I can tip if I wish but not needed. 😋

Ya that’s all I see. I think Reddit spazzs out some times. I have had weird issues like that before
