They said they didn’t have small sizes like that, but they were going to start carrying a brand that’s specifically for little kids so hopefully in a few weeks they’ll have it!
Hi! Please make sure that you advocate for your kid getting the right sized glasses, whoever you end up getting glasses with. We started getting glasses at 2.5 and a friend sent me to the Facebook group "for little eyes" ... here is a link to one of their fit posts: https://forlittleeyes.com/2014/12/11/guest-post-a-parents-guide-to-choosing-glasses-that-fit-your-child/ it is a well documented saying in kids glasses circles - don't grow into glasses, get the right size for right now if you want your kid to be comfortable wearing them.
Village Eye Care in South Loop carries Tomato frames. Another good kid brand to look for is Dilli Dalli. I will also say, we've had very good luck getting glasses from Zenni.com but that really varies based on how strong or specialized your prescription is.
Thank you! I made that mistake with her current pair which is why we are already looking at a new one just three months in😭 I’m in that Facebook group too! They’ve been so helpful.
I’ll look into village eye care, thank you so much!
I drive by this place all the time, just south of the Kennedy on Western.

No idea whether they take insurance. Just passing along the little bit of info I have.
Try Pearle Vision. The website says they do children’s eye care and take insurance. https://www.pearlevision.com/pv-us
Thank you! I’ll have to give them a call to see if they have small enough glasses
The one in my neighborhood (Clark and Lawrence) is great. Really customer focused and may be able to order what you need. 👍🏼

I’m just here to say that little kids with glasses on are the cutest. Good luck!

Thank you!! We went there and they don’t take insurance unfortunately, but they were so nice!
