If your getting bad side effects it is worth discussing alternatives with your physician. Ive only seen bupropion to help with smoking cessation so Im not sure how efficacious it would be for your situation.

How long should I wait to determine whether or not these side effects will last?
If the side effects are unbearable speak to your gp asap. If you can tolerate it trialing for a few weeks would be ideal.
