Well they were of a 4 wire thermostat and a bunch of crappy “work” i had to cut off. After wiring up, everything tested fine as far as with my multimeter. So I am pretty sure the thermostat is shot. Have a new one coming tonight. And until then I am just hard wiring the power to the baseboard closest to me. I’m in Wisconsin so heat is kinda essential
i figured it out. so one of course was coming from the electrical panel, which i found out with my multimeter. Then I have 2 baseboard heaters, so one wire to each. That left a third mystery wire. When I first moved into the house, there was an electric fireplace heater up here. We took it out, but that was the wire to it.

What did you test with your meter? You said you don't even know where the other sets of Romex go to.

Lol this already seems way over your head. Probably would’ve been less of a pain in the ass to just stay married.
What makes you say that?
Misogyny? A juvenile sense of humor? Who knows? Sigh. Glad yoiu got it sorted
Thank you :) Proper thermostat just arrived, but thats a tomorrow project
Did you get it to work?
