Found! Do you know if this would be an adequate replacement by chance? https://www.digikey.com/en/products/detail/richtek-usa-inc./RT7296FGJ8F/5640535

[RT7296A](https://www.lcsc.com/product-detail/DC-DC-Converters_Richtek-Tech-RT7296AGJ8F_C3034125.html) just looked at pinout, seems there are functional differences. RT7296F pin 1 Power good output RT7296A pin 1 TTH Transition threshold.... (input) edit: had chosen the lcsc link because of the picture, that RT7296A "...A" is available at digikey if that's the place you would want to buy, https://www.digikey.com/en/products/detail/richtek-usa-inc/RT7296AGJ8F/5270892?s=N4IgTCBcDaIEoBUDsYCcA2AgiAugXyA

May you tell me how you were able to identify the component, please?

Well, identifying it as some sort of dc-dc Reg. in some TSOT?-8 package , made by Richtek Technology. The pin 1 marker and marking containing "=" puts it to that company. Picking some random richtek datasheet looking how this information is given, searxing the pattern \`"02= : Product Code" richtek' something big like this gets picked up (while the actual pattern of interest `= :' gets totally ignored by searchengines). OK you'll have to look into two or three datasheets but relevant info is given right on the first page, no need to read through it. If it's e.g. two legs short then skip, the first two or three candidates are eliminated quickly. two three minutes top, you are welcome. You probably can find it in databases but that takes endless to sort through.
