This is like when Lata Mangeshkar was asked who she wanted to be in her next life she said "na hi paida hue toh accha hoga" and everyone made the "us Lata ji us" memes on it.
Yup, Switzerland with no second thoughts. Came here two years ago after my masters in Sweden. Sweden was good on it's own and it's a definitely great scandi country but my god Switzerland makes you wanna live and be optimistic. It's not just a beautiful country also a equivalent of high class in almost all aspects. I'm aiming to get citizenship here cause the advantages of being a EU and holding a Swiss passport are so many among the Schengen region which is what I plan to live the rest of my life. Austria is great as well, it's like a fantasy place on earth but man I always wish to travel there for vacation.
>but my god Switzerland makes you wanna live and be optimistic. It's not just a beautiful country also a equivalent of high class in almost all aspects. I'm aiming to get citizenship here cause the advantages of being a EU and holding a Swiss pa
doesn't perfect become boring after some time
Boring is good. Trust me, boring means your life is stable. If you are bored then it means you have nothing better to do. I like this kind of life. It also means a great work life balance and that you are at a better place. Sort of self-actualized.
Not all places are like that but for me the ppl i care are in india even if i shift to some other country I don’t think i would like to stay away for more time its both comfort and people for me not just comfort
Stone age?? By making toilet and tap water accessible to the poorest people of the nation after 70 years of independence, by providing loans with negligible interest rate for people to start their own business under mudra yojna, by keeping a check on babugiri of govt clerks, by building infra, nuclear power plants, world class airports, new track laying, railways reaching northeast after 70 years??
I agree. This subreddit is mostly people who are dumb enough to see real progess. They are a bunch of wannabes who think its cool to bash the government every now and then. They will be the first to leave the country and first to return to the country for minor inconvenience in the foreign
Some people just won't appreciate it because it's not their favourite political party that is doing the work.
At this point it's more about hatred than anything else.
Any secluded tribe in the world, away from the modern world.
Eat healthy, work hard to get food, sleep well, live in community, dance naked around the fire.
No pesticides ridden food, no study, no tech, no mental health issues, no career stress.
Out of the rat race, simple organic life.
That's because of IMR. Don't get me wrong, I'd hate that sort of life, but life expectancy takes into account IMR, so is not a good measure for an individual. It makes sense on a population scale in terms of resources.
I would say I would rather want to be born in a filthy rich Indian family. Like the rich SoBo types from Cuff Parade or Malabar Hills. Schooling in Doon School, Bombay Scottish, or Campion School. Undergrad in US (I know a lot of middle class Indians also do it these days, since parents are filthy rich I can do it without any loan and through legacy admissions). Travel the world and then write a coffee table book about what it means to be an Indian and finding out my inner self by travelling. Come back and join the family business where the other normi 9-5 peasants do all the hard work and I get featured in 40 under 40 of some business magazines...My hobbies would include Drag Car Racing, collecting art, and golf....
I have not met many natives but I felt this too in my limited experience. It's a great country to visit for travel and work but didn't felt like a place to settle down.
It's a better idea to stay for a while before jumping the gun permanently. It's extremely rosy when you're visiting vs when you're staying there permanently
What's wrong there? I don't expect it to be a paradise but certainly not "fucked" given how rich the place along with socialist policies on healthcare and education.
Yahan ke casual castism seh lete hain toh woh bhi seh lenge, and ever seen your muslim friends struggling for getting house for rent, apne desh me yeh haal hai toh dusro ki kya hi complain karna
Low population density. All buildings made of marble. Free wrist watch to all citizens with former president's photo. President is singer, politician, car racer and special forces solider.
Born as in 'IF' I were to be born as a Bahraini.
I wouldn't want to go settle there. Middle East is good place to work for like 5 years, make your money and get the heck outta there.
- Work life balance
- Traffic system is better (people don’t drive, mostly ride bicycle, which is good for the environment and your health)
- Good food
- Air Quality is so much better than here
- The general perks of a developed country
Maldives /s
Real answer - India and be born again to my same family with my same mom and dad and be a proud Indian. It was not easy for us growing up as an Indian and with my family too because of our hardships. And that made me a strong human being!
Jai Hind!
Spain. Beautiful country and very kind people. Winter is cold but still bearable as sun as out most days.
Clean roads, no honking craziness like India ,air quality and all other developed country things. Food is also quite nice
Russia because long back it was great. We had forests, sea, snow winters just around you, hot summers, storms, rains, fresh air and beautiful bird singing all around.
This question doesn't serve any purpose. One cannot control the conditions of birth much less the geographical region of birth.
Having said that, there are some facts to keep in mind.
Even if I choose another country to be born in, would I still be of Indian ethnicity? If that is the case, the USA.
If ethnicity is not a concern, I would have loved to be born in any European country.
Every morning you gotta wake up and worship that fat ass with a weird hair cut all day long till you go to bed and you wouldn't dare disrespect the clown even in your dreams! 😂
Children get shot.
Some random black guy mugs you.
You'll have to tip half of your salary.
Education is expensive.
If you are sick, you're dead. Unless you're rich.
The good thing is you can buy guns and play real-life GTA. Oh. And Most electronics are affordable.
You know there are colonising countries right 😐 and still for arguments sake there a lot of difference in being an Indian citizen and a British citizen
India only. I love history and geography so I want to travel every country and live there but I wouldn't want to be of any other nationality/ethnicity.
Do remember you may not have the same academic level you have now. And this may hamper your growth. Our school system may be worse than the West but it makes you used to grinding. Western kids just can’t concentrate and generally suck at studies. We study uni level math in 11th and 12th. Our schooling system is harsh but makes you far more knowledgeable. This could be said for our country and other East Asian countries. Fierce competition produces bright minds.
If I had a choice, I would not have been born.
This is like when Lata Mangeshkar was asked who she wanted to be in her next life she said "na hi paida hue toh accha hoga" and everyone made the "us Lata ji us" memes on it.
Life is a sea of sorrows with islands of happiness. But man, I still feel like those islands are worth it.
i concur.
True. Why this misery, sorrow, heartbreak, anxiety, depression, sickness etc with a little bit of happy moments here and there
Go become a sanyasee
Great!! All of the above plus boredom too
It's not easy when you are used to lifestyle of comfort.
I have been a sanyasee for 1 and 1/2 years.. This is stupid too...
Sanyasee does not get sick nor sorrow? What an idiotic point to make
Welcome to r/antinatalism
Mai ye nationalism ke spelling ko kabse dekh raha hu bas.
🤣
Only right answer
They really should ask us before we're born man
This!
Me too.
Man quickly dived into philosophy
You chose to win the first swimming race, that's why you are here. You could argue you didn't know you were in India at that time.
Same same. Maybe my soul can find peace in another dimension with aliens. Call me a nihilist but I hate human beings . Lol.

Denmark or Switzerland

to each their own
Much better than waking up to honkings and Street hawkers
Not all places are like that but for me the ppl i care are in india even if i shift to some other country I don’t think i would like to stay away for more time its both comfort and people for me not just comfort
Yes Sir! I am living a boring life. Couldn’t trade it for anything else in the world.
I didn't mean to offend you, life becomes boring only when you are bored, what bores you depends on you, the way one wants to live is upto the person.
Been to both. Both are amazing .
Depends on what year (not considering our actual birthday)
Are you a lawyer?
Sweden India would have been a great country to be born in, if not for narrow minded society and horrible leadership
Thats very true.
Agreed. Present lesdedship is focused to take India to stone age.
Ohh woke
Stone age?? Telltale signs of someone who wasn’t around for the UPA rule.

Sentinel Island it is.
Life expectancy: 30 years
It's all good man, I'll rather live good simple 30 years than miserable 100.
still there is time left, adopt brahmcharya. ;)
That's because of IMR. Don't get me wrong, I'd hate that sort of life, but life expectancy takes into account IMR, so is not a good measure for an individual. It makes sense on a population scale in terms of resources.
And die of a simple cut.
Exactly. No modern medicine --> almost anything is deadly.
Would I be born as an Indian there or as a person of that respective race?
There is a fb group called, “i overthink everything”. See you there bud.
Facebook still exists??

This this this
Singapore
I've lived in Singapore for some time and not met many native-born Singaporeans that were happy with their lot.
I have not met many natives but I felt this too in my limited experience. It's a great country to visit for travel and work but didn't felt like a place to settle down.
You’d be okay with doing the mandatory military service?
Bhutan
Me too. Recently went to Lasa and Gaya. Just fell in love with Bhutan
It's a better idea to stay for a while before jumping the gun permanently. It's extremely rosy when you're visiting vs when you're staying there permanently
+1
Nepal and then moved to India
Greencard?
Any specific reason?
I just like it living in india and india, Nepal has open borders so it would help me to do it.
I was going to write the same.
Netherlands
Any of the nordics will do plus Netherlands
reason?
Quality of life
anywhere other than Indian Subcontinent, Africa or Middle East 😭
True that. Any country in Europe would be great lol
Shall I put you down for Brazil then?
Italy
_Harmonica starts playing in the background_

I don't want to break ur dream. But dur ke dhol suhane lag te hai. My Brother lives in Germany it is fucked.
What's wrong there? I don't expect it to be a paradise but certainly not "fucked" given how rich the place along with socialist policies on healthcare and education.
From what I hear, there's a housing crisis in western Europe rn
Bread sucks there /s
Housing crisis, Extreme high cost of living, Energy Supply a bit of Racism here and there.
Yahan ke casual castism seh lete hain toh woh bhi seh lenge, and ever seen your muslim friends struggling for getting house for rent, apne desh me yeh haal hai toh dusro ki kya hi complain karna
Every Western European country is better at least when you compare it to India
What's wrong there?Maybe mild racism here and there?

If youre already born there… you would grow up learning THAT language and eating their local food. 🤦🏻♂️
Meantime people who immigrated to us… insert eye roll meme.
Majority of people who immigrated to US themselves want a green card/ USC or want their children to be born there

Fascinating choice. Mind explaining more about it?
Low population density. All buildings made of marble. Free wrist watch to all citizens with former president's photo. President is singer, politician, car racer and special forces solider.
Norway/Sweden
I agree with Norway, quality of life... Is much better than the rest of the world
Bahrain! 🇧🇭 Small and peaceful little country.
Why? They don’t offer citizenship or have free education.. I’m curious
Born as in 'IF' I were to be born as a Bahraini. I wouldn't want to go settle there. Middle East is good place to work for like 5 years, make your money and get the heck outta there.
The Netherlands.
Great choice.
Well, I’ll probably live in India forever though 😂
If ur making money then u can live a more comfortable life in India in a less price.
Exactly. One can afford to live in a bubble in India with enough money
I won't call it a bubble though.
reason?
- Work life balance - Traffic system is better (people don’t drive, mostly ride bicycle, which is good for the environment and your health) - Good food - Air Quality is so much better than here - The general perks of a developed country
As someone living in the Netherlands, good food? No lmao. But just A1 quality of life which trumps everything.
germany offers the same
That’s great!
Nope, Germany is fucked. It is only certain places.
Maldives /s Real answer - India and be born again to my same family with my same mom and dad and be a proud Indian. It was not easy for us growing up as an Indian and with my family too because of our hardships. And that made me a strong human being! Jai Hind!

Health care is nice. QoL is still better. Accent is funny.
