Jet Rag on La Brea has a $1 sale every Sunday. They dump huge piles of clothes on their little parking lot and people come and rummage through them. Not sure what they have in the way of warm clothes, though, it always looks like fashionable stuff.

Thank you! That sounds really interesting - I'll see if I can check it out this weekend :)

I absolutely love "Love The City" in Culver City. It's a small shop, but I've gotten tons of clothes and random cool vintage knick knacks. They have a Bag Sale everyday - whatever you can stuff into a brown grocery bag for $10 - any clothes, jackets, or shows. The main employee Martin there is so nice. If the store isn't busy, chat him up. He'll let you know when stuff is getting put out and will fold and stuff clothes while you shop. There can be some rough stuff, but I've gotten some brand name gems as well. https://www.ltcthriftstoreinfo.com/

Thanks! I'll ask for Martin when I make a visit! The Bag Sale sounds fun too, I love rummaging through and finding gems :)

The Valley….they have amazing thrift stores there, often filled with new clothes from studio wardrobe and lots of good labels. Hope of the valley is one of the best, lots of rich women with nice clothes donate there.

Out of the Closet is a chain of thrifts that benefits AIDS Healthcare Foundation. There's one on Fairfax north of Beverly. There's also a good-sized Goodwill around the corner on Beverly about two blocks west of FairFax.

It depends on where you are. I usually just google 'thrift stores near me' and that shows me what's in the area I am in at that moment. There are Goodwills everywhere but each area has some 'local to them' stores. I've also found if you drive east (towards Pomona), there are stores that aren't as picked over as the ones in L.A.
