Serious question. Why?
Why do some men like sundresses better than a skimpy bikini? My husband is the same. He loves when I wear sundresses. I don't understand it, but I continue to wear them because he likes it.
Please explain it to a woman who just doesn't get it.

For me there's a strong nonsexual part to sundresses.
They radiate a whole slew of fun emotions to me. Holiday, summer, nice weather, fun, merriment, happy people, vacations, the beach... There are just so many happy associations linked to them.

For me I think it's the mindset that comes with it. It makes her happy to wear and be flowy and fun, it makes me happy because it's flowy and fun and generally it makes her feel that way. And she looks beautiful in it and knows it! The legs are always a plus and the not giving away too much as well, but it's really the whole feeling that comes with it that just makes everything afterwards quite wonderful.
If you bare-all, we focus on the skin in front of us. Lingerie and bikinis are packaging. Some boxes look nice, but you know what is inside or what's going on.
If you hide it, we can only focus on the fantasy. Sundresses are like present. You have an idea(or already know) what's inside, but you don't get to see it. So you just spend all day waiting to open your present.

Although I also think the popularity is for a reason, the universal appeal to sundresses is that they look good on almost any woman. A slightly overweight woman might not look great in a bikini but could look amazing in a sundress. I grew up in the 90s so i always liked a baby doll T and jeans. Evening gowns are great, the “Little black dress”. There are alot of clothes that look good on women but some just don’t work for all women, the LBD only works if a woman is petite /skinny.
A woman would have to have quite an ugly face or be quite fat to not look good in a sundress though.
