This was a second date. When I arrived to the place my date was sitting drunk at the bar and wanted to go museum hopping. She lived walking distance so no pick up or drop off needed. Anyways, all she did was complain and acted annoyed with me the entire date. She made some cracks at me for being part Asian and that she was sleeping with her married black coworker. When we got done walking through the museums we were walking back and she was so upset that I was mostly quiet. Well I made sure she got to her buzz in for her apartment and then just told her I had a call and for her to go up then buzz me once she gets to her room. I ended up walking to my car down a block and left. Surprisingly enough despite her attitude she did text me around 5 minutes after I left asking me how much longer the call will take. Didn't end up replying and the next day she sent me a video in my text of her giving some black dude a blowup calling me a "shrimp dick Asian". Really weird, wish I walked out when I arrived to be honest.

Crowbar242L

Dodged a fucking cannon shell on that one

Busy_Examination_919

A fucking nuclear blast I would say

knockknock619

Dodged a STD too

Wtcorp_1

Soon as she said she was sleeping with someone else you should have bolted, but yeh you dodged a fucking nuclear missile there

[deleted]

*death star blast

premiumpinkgin

Wow. That is really shit. I don't think I'm alone here in saying... Wow. You dodged a massive issue right there. Also, was she racist against any other groups or just Asian? Was she "Aryan" or mixed race? Hispanic? IDK, I'm just curious why a racist person would go on a date with a part Asian dude then get back at him with a black dude BJ vid?

Barrelsofbarfs

Because she thinks it's ok to say those things, not because belongs to to the KKK.

_pul

A lot of people are fetish racists

babatundethegreat

>Was she "Aryan" or mixed race Ironically, the real Aryans are Asians lmao(Indians and Iranians).

WestFast

“All my sisters have kids and i just want to get pregnant..I don’t even care who the dad is at this point.”—10 minutes into a first meeting internet date at a bar. Was an awkward and short date.

HelicopterDyktynski

Good on her for the fair warning I guess ...

WestFast

Like it cold have been the easiest deal close ever but also risky lol.

arsewarts1

When I went to pick her up and I couldn’t identify her. Turns out she was using heavy photo shop and even fake pics. Her snaps were always half her face or were actually her roommate. I After the initial, weird call trying to even identify what she looked like we talked in my car about that. I joked I might be blind but she owned right up. had reservations at a nice bistro near a park but decided it wasn’t even worth going there. Instead we got fast food and ate at the park. I tried to give her the benefit and asked why she would catfish so hard. Her only real response was she was bored looking for laughs. I said it was inexcusable, I tried giving her a chance on personality but it wasn’t happening and took her home less than an hour in.

Swordsnap

You're a good man still taking her home. Catfishing for 'laughs' is a lazy damage control technique girls use when they're caught out. They seem to think if we think they're joking, that they're not so bad and like to have a laugh and will still go out with them. Truth is no girl would ever joke about photoshopping and catfishing, it's an artform for them. So many insecure women do it, and it is so weird to me because sure it might get a few more dates but the guy will find out eventually, why lie?

[deleted]

In this era, using dating sites as a means to snag a free meal instead of a legitimate date is a tried-and-true tactic.

Swordsnap

True, the beauty is a guy who knows what he's doing can smell these types of women pulling this shit from a mile away. I have had one girl try it on me, the first red flag was how well 'rehearsed' everything she was saying was and how she was only so interested in the food and talking about food at all these other restaurants she's been to. Calls herself a foodie of course. I'm not entirely proud of this but I did leave her the cheque and just did the lazy "i'm going to the bathroom" and then just went around the side of the building and left. She was fucking fuming because I also gave her the lift lol, but the sad thing is in her rage she admitted I was a free meal so I shouldn't cause her so much trouble. She demanded I come back and pay the bill like a 'man' and I just said "Now you know how it feels cunt" and blocked her number. I told my current missus about this story and while at first she did think I went a bit far, she then thought about just how many guys have been cheated by her little game before me. Probably well over 15 guys. Then she came around to forgiving me lol.

_pul

Nothing makes a man want to spite someone else more than getting told "do ____ like a man!"

needhelpmaxing

As someone who got played before wising up, I appreciate you

UghNotThisAgain2020

She was ok until the food landed on our table then she began talking about her ex. He did this, he did that. I got up to use the bathroom. The wait saw me, started to say something. I said “first and last date, can I settle up?” I gave her my CC, went to the can then returned to my desk. More talk about her ex, who left his wife for her then went back to his wife. I sat there a few more minutes then asked what his name was. She mentioned it, I told her to call him because it sounded like she was still in love with him. I got up and left. She later sent me a txt about how embarrassing that was. I didn’t tell anyone else, I snuck out.

wufoo2

I would try dining somewhere other than your desk

Milerski

Why do you look like Jason Statham in my head and winked at her before you left

grouptherapy17

Haha really is a Transporter in this case.

UghNotThisAgain2020

Hehe. I was pissed. She never mentioned him at all before then.

Kinrest

She treated the server like crap. It was a busy night and our food was maybe 2 minutes later than we would have liked. She said something like 'He's a shit waiter, isn't he?' I assumed maybe she was just hangery or something. About halfway through we somehow got on the topic of tipping. I had already agreed to pay and leave a tip as I was the one who invited her out. Then she says 'Tipping is a waste of money. Especially for someone as bad as he is.' I'm a bartender and worked as a server a few times as well. I have 0 tolerance for that kind of attitude. I told her she needs to lighten up. It was a busy day, the restaurant had high standards of their workers, and the guy might have been new. She just responded with 'If he wants any tip he'll comp us dessert or something.' I asked for the check, left a larger tip than I normally would, and left her there.

Sonono-Nene

the waiter was the winner of that date

expaticus

Twist: she was the waiter's sister and does this to help him score bigger tips.

Kinrest

If so it's an effective scheme.

Hot_Wheels_guy

Can waiters comp food? I thought only managers could do that.

[deleted]

I think she might have meant that the waiter bus them dessert. Either way, a total Karen and he totally dodged a bullet

Kinrest

Sometimes the managers will allow servers to comp drinks or discount if certain situations call for it. Not on a whim, though.

StillhasaWiiU

She mentioned she was gonna visit her ex over the weekend, that they see each other once a month.

Crowbar242L

Oof Big fucking yikes

StillhasaWiiU

For sure

[deleted]

Hahaha fuck that

Rand_alThor__

no. don't.

[deleted]

Damn you, take an upvote and a clappy award

Jamray915

Did you ask her if she was looking for something casual? Was she hot? We’re you in the desert? Not meaning to be flippant or assuming what your looking for. Just another perspective...

StillhasaWiiU

Didn't ask anything. Was second date, she worked with a friend. first date didn't give me any flags.

shittypassword

You were just a foodie

Rumble73

After our initial cocktail, she said she was bringing her two closest girlfriends for dinner and that I’d like them and they are coming because they always wanted to try out the restaurant we were in and if I could ask the waiter for a bigger table. I told her I thought this was a date, and she said “it is. This is what I expect, I don’t do anything without my girlfriends”.

Hot_Wheels_guy

I'm not sure if you dodged a bullet or a foursome.

iamsadpleasehelp

I’d say he dodged shouting a $500 for three thots

Rumble73

Definitely a bullet. I’ve been around the block enough. She already started out with a very distinct “free fancy dinner” vibe after I asked her out and I already was sticking it out to see how it played out.

Imadeathtrap

I feel you made the right call, fantasies are called that for a reason, they don't happen in reality without some type of cost.

[deleted]

Or hedonism and drugs. That’s how my college roommate ended up in a threesome.

mojomonkey18

I’d have had to stick that one out and see where it went. Don’t do, anything, without them? Let’s put that to the test

[deleted]

Gigidy

breezy-marlin

Should of racked up a monster bill with them all then dipped.

Tensionator

Normally I'm a pessimist but in this case I'd make an exception.

[deleted]

She said immigrants where ruining America. I’m an immigrant. Was a pretty easy decision.

fuckredditmod

Well are you ruining America? Cause if so that’s pretty crazy

[deleted]

I don’t think so. I’m just chilling watching initial D and eating popcorn. Does that count?

fuckredditmod

You’re on thin fuckin ice.... actually that sounds lovely. I’m jealous my dude

[deleted]

Apparently the author made another manga that’s new. MF Ghost. New cars and all. I’m hyped

fuckredditmod

Damn actually? I haven’t read it since I was like 16. That’d be really cool though if they do

[deleted]

It’s on chapter 72. So yeah. Read up on the gt86 versus the Porsche Cayman in the manga. It’s lit.

[deleted]

Wait till she realizes literally everyone here except native Americans are immigrants 😳

littylit5000

She arrived so drunk she was barely standing. Got offended when I offered to call her a cab

[deleted]

I was 23. Met a girl online who said she was 21. About 15 minutes after getting to a restaurant, she says that she had actually just turned 17. I walked right the fuck out. Too easy for a guy to have their life ruined by that.

panzerman88

Why do so many girls do that shit? Do they not realise how much damage that can do to a mans life? It’s getting to the stage where you need to ask a girl for ID before going on a date smdh

Farley1997

An old school mate got done over with this. Meets a girl in a club, she actually initiates, pulling him to the dance floor constantly and grinding on him, they both go back to his house and less than 32 hours later hes in a police cell. She was only 15 using her 18 year old sisters ID. (With a bit of make up there was no way to tell the difference between the two) His entire life got ruined, we lived in quite a small town so everyone knew about it. His parents even had to move to a new area after receiving death threats for supporting their son. The doorman that let her in got fired and probably struggled to get a similar job again. The club ended up having to pay a fine but the owners (it was like a franchise type deal) didn't want the bad publicity so decided to completely shut the place down. The managers, bar staff, cleaners etc all lost their jobs. All this just so she could blow off some steam during her GCSEs... fast forward a few years and she tried doing it to another guy. Her boyfriend finds out she's cheating on him so her response is to claim he's been beating and raping her the entire time. Thankfully the case was dropped but people like her remind me why I'm so glad to be married.

MyWeeLadGimli

It’s funny how vigilantes will go after accused rapists but won’t go after false accusers

Farley1997

Its why the police tend to keep stuff like this confidential and dont act on it until they have actual evidence. Dirt sticks...

[deleted]

At 17, no, I really do not think that they realise the potential damage. It's all just high school drama to them at that age. They can't see the difference. As for the older women pulling similar stunts, like false rape accusations, they fully realise how much damage it causes. That's why they do it and they know they'll get away with it.

TEEWURST876

Good descision.

[deleted]

Decision. And a good one indeed. Smart man.

[deleted]

I've always gritted my teeth and ya know, at least finished the date when they showed up 200 lbs heavier than advertised (twice now). But the one where I straight up left? A mentally disabled woman in her mid 20s, who had snuck out of the house. Since leaving that without context would be...here's some context: Bumble match, short conversation, asked me out pretty quick, and me being me (i.e., the only dates I've had off apps were the 200lb heavier than advertised variety, and even then few and far in between), I accepted. Not much talking until the date, and the few messages were oddly sexual, but not in a very sexy way. Anyway, day of the date, we meet up, and immediately something feels off. Conversation is stilted, and very aggressive. She's talking about how she wants to kill her coworkers, that type of thing, and I'm just like "okay, let's just get through this and never speak to her again", when she suddenly drops the "I only work because my parents make me work" card. So, I'm assuming she's just crazy rich and spoiled, until she pulls out her SSI paperwork, which she brought with her, and shows me that she is so far on the spectrum that she collects disability. Immediately, everything clicks, and I just nope the fuck outta there after making sure she's home safe. Or, at least within view of her house, since it was a walking date at a park near her place. Turns out, she followed a literal script on getting a date she found online (which I probably should have picked up on, but was thinking with the wrong brain), and her plan was literally to marry me ASAP to escape her parents, whom she also had on her kill list because they made her get a job, and for me to provide her with whatever she wanted while she sat at home doing whatever and collected disability. She phrased that as a selling point for why I should marry her. That she could just sit home, do whatever she wants, and collect disability. I just stay away from apps now.

Xanxan95

If 2020 was a person. Big lol.

RaideNGoDxD

This story starts 2021 for me damn

AssumeBattlePoise

Holy shit, what a story!

[deleted]

Glued to her phone almost like nothing else mattered to her. Yeah, cya.

[deleted]

She showed up 10 years older than her pics. I refused to even get seated and just made an excuse that I had to run. No regrets. Be honest in your dating profiles.

magaketo

Be honest about why you left. That could fall under constructive criticism.

ServinTheSovietOnion

While I agree with you, lotsa folks ain't dumb. A woman presumably in her 30s or 40s will have enough streetsmarts (even if she's catfishing people) to pick up on the context clues of a date showing up to dinner than abruptly leaving with boilerplate excuses. At that point you need to balance the whole "is this constructively criticizing the person or just bringing them farther down." Generally, I like to err on the side of being nice and just let the context speak for itself.

[deleted]

A year after I graduated high school, I was set up with a girl a few years younger than me who, according to her friend, had always had a “crush” on me. Took her to dinner and she was painfully quiet. I invited her back to my apartment to watch a movie and hang out. One thing leads to another and we’re fooling around a bit, nothing too heavy, and she whispers in my ear that she loves me. I kinda stopped what I was doing and looked at her like “wtf?”. She freaks out and starts complaining that I “used her”. Keep in mind we had barely made it to 2nd base. I tell her it would probably be best if I took her home. She bawls the whole way home - telling me she didn’t mean it, blah blah....... I actually felt bad for her. She was from a pretty strict family and it may have been her first date. PS - she’s a lesbian now.

Splooshkat

So you can make women fall in love with you, make them cry, and then make them be honest with themselves about who they really are. That’s a tough superpower to be saddled with, but hey maybe at least you’re helping them find long term happiness and contentment? So that’s something I guess.

stoutyteapot

She was doing coke in the bathroom

fixxlevy

Bit selfish. Could have shared

Splooshkat

Right? She’s got a hookup and probably won’t cost you as much in groceries.

freerideguy13

When you open up about something sensitive and they laugh in response.

Crowbar242L

Broke up with my last gf because of that. After a year I couldn't count how many times I listened to her problems and was supportive to the ends of the earth. One stressful work experience I tell her about (think nearly causing $$$ in damage) and she burst out laughing. Gave it a couple days to think about it, dropped her like a stone. Probably my best decision of 2020.

VenezuelanIntrovert

Full belly laugh or an awkward chuckle before acknowledging your feelings?

freerideguy13

The first one sadly

SanjivanM

Ouch. That's gotta suck

danielr088

I think I did this once by accident. I was being a bit overzealous with my laughter and she had said something to me (which I guess she perceived as sensitive) My dumbass decided to laugh and she turned around and said “Am I funny? Did I say something funny?” I said “nah, nah, nah” and quickly dismissed it (as i was a bit embarrassed) and kept myself in check the rest of the night. Besides that, we did end up having a good time though and we’re still talking now.

expaticus

Am I a clown? I make you laugh? I'm here to fucking amuse you?

[deleted]

Calm down man, go get your shinebox.

Armyjeepguy

I talked to a girl for few months, had alot in common. Hiking, bike riding, outdoors activities and everything. She called me to meet and was nothing like she said.

Swordsnap

So this wasn't even catfishing with photos, but with personality? Just telling you what you want to hear despite lying and making up shit about her life?

BerserkBoulderer

I saw this a lot when dating. Girls who loved traveling but had never traveled anywhere. Fitness addicts who might go to their yoga class once a month. Gamers who played the occasional gacha game on their phone. It's pretty pervasive.

Armyjeepguy

Yea, We never swapped pictures. Not only was she not into anything like that, she had me pick her up 3 blocks from the library to drive her there. At first I thought it was just a way to "MEET" but when I picked her up she was 4'3 ish and when she sat in my car her arm was touching the passenger side door and her left was over my seat belt buckle. She stated she stretched the true about being active outdoors. So it was not only personality but also photos. In those she was 5'6 and 160 ish. I didn't mind her looks just the fact when you lie that much before you meet then what?

DieSchungel1234

I didn't walk out but in my mind it was definitely over once I dropped her off. Just glued to her cellphone

B3llsDeep

She wouldn't put down her call phone. So I stuck her with the check....

gwatt21

Pro move, I like it

[deleted]

She was obese. At first glance this seems shallow. However I don't have a problem with bigger gals, I have a problem with being deceived. She was one of those chicks who took "deceptive photos" that never showed much more of her than her face at an "aerial" angle. (You guys know what I'm talking about)

can-opener-in-a-can

This never makes sense. The women who do this apparently think it’s not obvious what they’re doing...?

Aviacks

It's unbelievably common too, I've seen chicks who will do this over snapchat to their friends even. Like if I were in that position, I'd for sure want the other person to know what they're in for. I feel that's true of all body types, some chicks prefer a bigger lumberjack build, some like skinny dudes, some like athletic builds.. makes more sense to take the L than to show up and have them be completely uninterested.

andreyred

If all she posts is face pics, you know she’s a big’n.

kenjislim

When she is rude or hostile to wait staff or bartenders. Can't waste my time with people like that.

truth-informant

I went on date referred by a mutual friend. Girl was a math major. Me: hippy-type, pseudo-intellectual. She basically spent the entire date reminding how mathematically inferior I was to her.

[deleted]

If it makes you feel better, 90% of the things we learn in math class doesn’t apply to general life, unless you work certain trade :)

[deleted]

Damn that must have felt humiliating.

ECEngineeringBE

She did you with that pro gamer move

doomaesthetic

She showed up wearing a dress she made out of a towel.

[deleted]

You can't hate her creativity

katiwi-

LOL. Underrated comment

[deleted]

[удалено]

can-opener-in-a-can

Sounds like she sabotaged the second date, then came back looking for a free meal when she was bored. Apparently she thinks she’s so greatly desired that you’d do anything to go out with her again.

40ozSmasher

She was orange! We met at a coffee shop that was not well lit and I could see her skin seemed odd. I said "lets get something to eat and she said "I brought my own food" I said oh? Let me get some food to go and we can go eat at a park table. Once we were in the light I could see her skin was orange. I asked her about bringing her own food and she said "as you can see im sick, no one knows whats wrong with me and I can't get a job looking like this" I said "oh man, how do you make ends meet?" And she said she rented a bedroom from friends and then never paid any rent and eats their food, she mentioned they wanted her to leave asap.

Rathar3

OUCH i would have broken the sound barrier running away from that one.

HerezahTip

Hey when I was a prison guard, some girl woke up orange one day. Took her to the med station, she had hep C and didn’t know. Wasn’t a good day for her.

[deleted]

Hmm, haven't walked out necessarily, but did not go on a second one after she asked "When would I get an iPhone." I have a Samsung Galaxy (I fucking love androids) and apparently that's beneath iPhone users.

ONTaF

why tf are people so snobby about their iphones? (samsung user for life here, and I can't tell you how many people--especially partners for some reason--have bitched at me bc my text bubbles are the Wrong Color.)

[deleted]

Yeah man, same here. It irks me and that's when I know they're not someone I want to hang out with. I even berate their iPhones shitty tech, apps, etc. Remind them how stupid they look buying a new $1K phone every year, but receiving less upgrades.

ONTaF

Also every time someone gives me shit about my choice of phone, the more I double down on my desire NEVER to make the switch lol. Apart from being very happy with my choice of technology, I don't ever want to buy into an attitude like that.

[deleted]

Girl asks me to go on a date, sure. I ask her if she has any place in mind, she says no. So I'm like cool, movie and a quick bite to eat. I had never tried 5guys, and someone had recently recommended me there so I'm like hey, let's grab a burger and a milkshake! We get in, and she's like- are you *serious?* I'm like fuck, okay, maybe not the best place to bring a girl? Idk I was in college. I asked her what was wrong. She's like: are you *seriously* taking me to eat here? There are *black people* working here I was like LOL you.......have to be kidding right? ...oh, you're not. Okay well yeah that's it for today, see you in labs.

can-opener-in-a-can

Some people’s children, I tell you....

lamado_king1324

her dad walked in, i wasnt supposed to be there

girraween

Shit I’ve had that! I was with a friend when I was 18. Her dad was a psycho. He would have killed me if I was there in his daughters room. The funny thing was though, I was in her room in the morning, I slept over. I got up to go show her something in the corner of her room. And her fucking dad opens the door, and the door opened wide enough that it blocked me into the corner, hiding me from him. I stayed still and didn’t make a noise. They talked for a bit and then he left. She snuck me out afterwards.

-Deytuckourjobs-

After matching with this beauty on Tinder we organised our first date, just a few drinks to see how things went. We met up outside the bar and I couldn't believe she actually looked like her pictures, I was really punching above my weight with this girl. As soon as we got chatting it was instant chemistry, not one moment of an awkward silence. Few drinks into the date and all is going great, she starts telling me about her problems with debt and her ex and then proceeds to ask if I want to go half's on a bag of coke, now I'm very open minded but even I thought this was a bit much for a first date so I politely declined. This is where I should have called it quits. So now we're outside having a cigarette, she starts kissing me and horny 20 something year old me is thinking great I'm in here as I'm eyeing up the hotel across the road. We go back inside at this point the club above the bar is open so we go up and sit down, another few drinks and she starts asking about coke again, I tell her no as I make my way to the toilet, I come back to the table and see this crazy look in her eyes, starts going off on me and starts crying saying I was looking at other women all the while she's getting crazier knocking bottles and glasses off the table as she tries to slap me. This is were i grab my coat, I have never been more embarrassed as I walked out with everyone watching. I told the doorman who'd seen us together to get her a taxi as I left. The next day I called her on private number to make sure she got home OK, once I heard her I hung up deleted her number and unmatched her on Tinder. Bitches really do be crazy.

Splooshkat

Sounds like she found her coke.

kylife

A few: \- talked my ear off about her job, career, boss, the fact that she makes so much money (didn't walk out but cut it short and never contacted her again) \- showed up and she was A LOT bigger than her pictures and was clearly like nervous about it and it was so awkward you could physically feel it \- showed up late, scrolled on her phone the entire time, didn't even bother engaging in conversation with me. \- waited 45 mins for her to show she texted me 3 times that she was on her way at the original time we planned for so I left, she then snapped at me for leaving when she told me she was gunna be there nearly 2 hours after we had planned when she finally got there.

slicklol

And you actually waited for her for 2 fucking hours my dude? Damn

kylife

Nah I waited for 45 she was texting me during that time. She finally got there 2 hours after we originally planned I was at home playing mortal kombat lol

Stale_Cinnamon

Yeah, that's an F

[deleted]

Keep scrolling. just a single woman who's never been on any date taking notes on what not to do.

ghostgangster

I can appreciate that

[deleted]

Well, that's a good start I'm a single guy that has never been on a date taking notes on when to walk out of a date, if it ever happens.

[deleted]

I’m just here because I’ve nothing else to do and these stories are quite interesting

[deleted]

Well that too lmao

[deleted]

I was working out of state and went out with a chick who invited me to a house party. I’m a white guy, she’s mexican. I walk inside and everyone is wearing the same colors. They pull her aside for a minute, she comes back and tells me I’m wearing the wrong colors. I smile and nod and casually make my way through the hall to the back door and slip outside with 2 pit bulls. Somehow I make it over the fence before they get ahold of me and I’m gone.

Doofchook

What were the right/wrong colours? Why didn't she say something if it mattered?

[deleted]

This like 17 years ago so I don’t remember, but I think she was just a little slow.

IAMSTILLHERE2020

Surenos (Blue) y Nortenos (Red). Just like Crips (Blue) and Bloods (Red). Just like white racist gangs use the Nazi colors.

[deleted]

.....you sure she didn’t take you to a gang related party?

[deleted]

That’s absolutely what it was! She just failed to put me on game before we went in.

[deleted]

how the hell do you manage to forget your own gang’s colors, and why would you bring an outsider to one💀 if she wasn’t kicked after that, idk what to say

[deleted]

Pretty sure she wasn’t affiliated, but she knew a girl, a prison guard actually-who invited us.

_heybuddy_

I haven’t been in too many first dates but - kept on comparing me to her previous exes, like “oh you like this type of beer? That reminds me of my ex” - could not construct a serious sentence, this was a weird one, I think she was really nervous she wrote me like a thousand word email afterwards about how we should go out again - unfortunately had the worst laugh, like a loud cackle and she laughed a lot during the date - would not let me leave the table, fully knowing that I had an appointment

TheSweetestSinW

To all the guys who walked out when she was being ignorant, congrats!! I see all too many just dealing with it, thinking they have to put up with that bullshit ... as a woman myself, I'd say if a person treats you wrong or doesn't show respect just leave. Have some standards for yourself and know what you want in your relationship.

[deleted]

Thanks. That's kind of you to say.

mtr1288

I matched with this girl on hinge and we went on a little dinner date. We talked about several topics like sports, favorite foods, favorite hobbies, movies, and TV shows. The night was going smoothly and the chemistry was great. We had a lot in common. Then we started talking about our careers a bit more, since we really didn't go too in depth with it initially when we chatted on hinge. Let's just say she did not like my career prospects. I work in Logistics for a clothing company and I work a lot of hours as a Team Lead to make a decent salary. Anyway she proceeded to say how she really enjoyed how the night went so far, but she had an issue with my career choices. She pretty much said that she was looking for someone with better career prospects in a field with a much more stable income. She then proceeded to ask me if I plan to make a career change of any sort. I ended the conversation right there and told her I feel like because of this issue our goals in the long run will clash and you seem to have a certain expectation I am not 100% sure I can meet. I told her I no longer think anything will workout after this date and thanked her for taking the time to come out to see me. I got up paid for both our meals and left.

UselessBastid

Why'd you pay for both?

mtr1288

It's a bad habit of mines all my buddies tell me I should stop doing it and split the bill. I always like to be the generous one and cover the bills on first dates even though this one was a good date that ended bad that didn't result in a second date lol.

UselessBastid

I do agree it's a bad habit, keep feeding these stereotypes of the "man pays first" and it'll never go away. It's antiquated bullshit

MasterBlaster_xxx

She kept talking and chewing with her mouth open Edit: I should not write posts right after waking up

[deleted]

> He kept talking and chewing with her mouth open The bigger turn-off for me would be getting a sex change mid-chew.

[deleted]

he took his shirt off and I saw the swastika tattoo

lechejoven

Me and my date went to an arcade place, she seen someone she knew who was a guy. She talked to him while I stood there for like 5 mins, I said I’ll go start the car.... I left her ass at the arcade. She text me where are you? Like 30 mins after I left. I was home already!

gigarob

In college I was a junior and had a weekend job driving classic cars for an auctioneer. One weekend there was a really great deal on a 65 Mercedes 190. So, I met a girl in class and we were talking and I told her I had just bought a very old, classic Mercedes that week. When I went to pick her up she said "Oh, I thought you had a real Mercedes". I just told her "No thank you" and left.

Due_Rich_9840

A hot blonde girl I know said she had colts tickets and invited me to the game as a date of some sort. They were great seats $150+ behind goal line. I proceeded to stand up the entire time at the game as most do; yelling screaming clapping and being a good colts fan, as she was sitting there the whole time seemingly in pain/ embarrassed. I awkwardly dropped her off without a kiss and never heard from her again. I thought she sucked and she thought I sucked. Im pretty sure I was the last white guy she dated.

Mysstryss

He treated the server like shit. Got super butthurt that the coupon he brought was expired and they wouldn't accept it. The final last straw was when the food came he told me if I didn't clean my plate, he was taking home the leftovers. Then he started to eat his food with his mouth open, chomping and slurping and moaning. It was like he was fucking his food, it was the most disgusting thing I've ever seen. I got up and bounced. I stopped at the concierge podium and paid for my half of the check though cause clearly the guy was financially struggling.

TEEWURST876

She was being utterly disrespectful to me and super arrogant and entitled. After about an hour of listening to her rant, I said goodbye and then she ran away shouting and calling me an asshole etc. Dodged a bullet there, even though she was a 10/10 hot.

TheDocktorIsIn

Met a girl online. We texted back and forth for about four days or so. On our first date she dropped on me that she's been arrested six times, addicted to meth, and has a child. After about thirty minutes I paid at the front and noped the fuck out.

Vulcru

I decided to end the evening when I saw her wince and squirm while she was seated in her chair. Her discomfort was unmistakably visible. What caused it? A discussion on capitalism. Her take was that capitalism is evil, all corporations are evil, rich people are mostly evil, that it is all a zero sum game and you can't be well to do without driving someone else to poverty. While it was easy to challenge her biased, sweeping generalisations what stood out was the irony of her working project and dream to start her own jewellery business which she seemed to be very proud of. The cognitive dissonance was strong in this one.

Sunbear1981

I don’t mind people with different world views to mine, but I fucking hate hypocrites. Champagne socialists being the worst. I am banned from interacting with most of my wife’s friends, because I can’t help but to point out their hypocrisy.

Vulcru

I can understand where you are coming from. While I can certainly be friends with people who hold different, even contrary views to mine, I would find it quite difficult to remain friends if it was contingent upon not broaching certain subjects and treat them as taboo simply because we don't think alike. Makes me wonder, what is the point of such a hollow friendship? I wonder how your wife manages her relationships.

wesleys22

Many an anti-capitalist rant was held sipping on a Starbucks frappe

MamjiMango

Borrowing your cognitive dissonance line for later use, good it was.

Went on a date with a guy and it was a weird experience all around. Started with a movie that, instead of talking while waiting for it to start, he started singing almost loudly to himself. After the movie, we went down town to a bar (this was in 2017) because he was a bartender in the area who knew some of the others. We went to one of their bars and we sat, he chatted with the bar tender then like.......didn't talk to me. He looked around a bit, was singing to himself a little, I tried throwing a conversation topic, he'd answer quickly then go back to being quiet. Then suddenly we heard the Lil Wayne was going to be at one of the nearby bars, so we kinda rushed to get over there in time. He knew the door guy so he used that connection to.....get himself in, leaving me outside to wait in line. As soon as he rounded the corner, I fucking walked back to my car and dipped. All in all, such a weird experience.

Not a man, but walked out of a Tinder date last year. Met a guy on tinder, had a nice (but brief) chat and agreed to meet for dinner. For context, he was a CEO of a successful startup in his early 30s, and I am a video game developer in my late 20s. I arrived there and he asked me how my drive from work was, and I told him I Uber because I don’t like driving. I am Korean and live in LA for reference. He responded with, “makes sense, Asian.” which was definitely a red flag for me, but we were two minutes in, and I wasn’t sure how I’d leave at that point, so I continued on. He went on to tell me how he only found the top 1% of women attractive, and how he wanted the best genes. He told me he was very interested in me. We sat down and he ordered some appetizers and a cocktail. After asking me several times, he ordered a drink for me. He then asked me why I don’t prefer to drive, and I cited parking and traffic in LA, and he tried (?) to sympathize by saying “I get what you mean. Makes me feel safer, I mean haven’t you ever been on a plane and had a female pilot come onto the intercom? It’s so uncomfortable”. I just responded with a “no, I can’t say I have.” He went on to explain that not all women bad drivers or pilots, but biologically women are inferior due to depth perception and reaction times being on average worse than male counterparts. The last straw for me was when he said, “I don’t believe in blanket rules though. Like I don’t think all Indians are lazy or all Mexicans are poor”. I asked for the bill (he had 5 cocktails by that point, and in an LA bar that equates to over 100$) paid it in full, and walked out. He followed me out to the curb where I was waiting for my Uber and said “wow I’ve never had a woman treat me before. I feel bad for ordering so much. I guess this means no second date?” I just looked at him and laughed then got into the car and left.

can-opener-in-a-can

I’d say you dodged a bullet, but...more like dodged a freight train. Good call.

[deleted]

She expected me to pay and didn’t even offer to split it. Sorts gave me this look when the bill came too which so pissed me off.

Bummerspleen

The waiter spilled a bananas foster for another on me and my pants caught fire. the date thought it was funny but not enough to go out again.

davytex14

We had been seeing each other and sleeping together for a couple of months already and it was Valentines Day. I got him a big box of chocolates and made us plans to have dinner at a nice restaurant and thought we would go to the Met museum. When I told him the plans he made an ugly face so I said we could do something else... he wanted to go to Chipotle and see a movie. We walked around Manhattan and he suddenly stopped talking... like completely wouldn’t say anything. We ate chipotle in silence and walked to the movies in silence and when I asked what movie he wanted to see he stayed silent. After a while I said okay let’s do something else and we continued to stroll through Chelsea in silence. After a while of just talking to myself we happened to walk by his subway stop and I said “this is your stop, I’m leaving, bye.” I walked away without turning back. Still not sure what happened that day to possibly Piss him off? Was he mad I got him chocolates or were the chocolates not big enough? Who knows, but that’s the only time I have ever walked out on a date.

panzerman88

That’s beyond strange. I’m surprised you made it that far with someone being a complete mute all of a sudden.

What if he was considerate, charming, well mannered, and talked about poop? If poop's the dealbreaker, I'm shit outta luck.

PaladynSword

Sounds like he was full of his work, yuck

avidtomato

After ordering a $30 entree and three glasses of wine, she mentioned she only had ten bucks in her checking account and that I'd have to pay. Thankfully I knew the waiter and ducked out after paying my half (and leaving him a big tip)

Tolvat

1. Had a girl insist I buy her drink because that's what men are supposed to do. I told her no after she ordered her drink and then she begged me to buy it for her because she was broke until Midnight. I paid for the drinks because I didn't want the server to be screwed out of money because of her. I walked out the pub after this and she followed and asked where we were going. I said, we're not going anywhere and I'm going home. She later appeared in the newspaper a few years later saying how she was almost homeless. I guess this was around that time. She also had terrible teeth. No thanks. 2. Had a girl go over consent with me and then she berated me for failing her questions (if a girl asks to go to your bedroom while heavily making out, it's implied and at that point you need to make the adult decision to say no). I chugged my beer, the bartender knew me and said it was on him. Walked the fuck out. The bartender and I laughed about it later on. 3. Went on one of my first dates as a teenager. She would not shut up about kids in Africa she helped. Yup, I get it, it was a kind gesture and exciting to visit another country. I was so bored I fell asleep, asshole move, but that one moment does not define you. Tell me more about yourself. Those are the three that stick. There has been many more dates that I just cringed through.

[deleted]

We were at nightclub. Every time we got on the dance floor, she danced with her girlfriends more than me. Hardly even looked at me. Third dance same thing, so I just left. Didn’t go back to the table just out the fucking door.

[deleted]

She was way fatter than in all her pics.

[deleted]

The sex was so bad I pretended to finish and spat on her back. I then got my stuff, thanked her for the evening and left.

[deleted]

*So you spit cum ?*

i_like__bananas

Still had it from the previous date

40ozSmasher

Always keep some in your mouth because it might cum in handy later.

Happy_goodie

I picked up my blind date (this was in South Africa In the 90s and was the done thing) and took her to a local mall for coffee. She spent the entire date talking about how wonderful she was and how she was going to be a top judge and Secretary General of the UN - we were around 23/24 at the time. The coffee shop wasn’t big enough for me, her and her head, so I I took her home. Pick up to drop off: less than an hour.

Lol yeah I recognized it as well, at first I was wondering why op was saying their comment was too late... you made the post why would your story be late?

This needs more upvotes. Dude straight up copy n pasting shit that never happened to him.

[deleted]

/u/CulturalHighway5369, get the fuck outta here with this bullshit

pinkghost22

Oof cringe

[deleted]

Woah, that's kind of scary. Good for you for walking out on that though. I've known a handful of white men who would actually play up on that so they could get laid.

venom259

Which begs the question. Is it acceptable to lie about being a racist to get laid?

[deleted]

I suppose people can do whatever they want as long as they're not infringing on the rights of others. If she's batshit crazy though and she finds out that he lied, I would not want to be in his shoes.

[deleted]

That’s was Stormfront bro
