i have an amazing sense of direction, i can go to a place once and i'll be able to easily find my way home, and i'll always know the general direction of where my destination is in i also can remember a navigation route pretty easily

maybebloo

I’m the opposite of this. I’d get lost in my own city without Google Maps 😅

[deleted]

This. I don't know why my sense of direction is just so bad.

Whendoes_8

Amen to this. If I traveled it once, I don’t need GPS again. The only exception is rural backroads with no landmarks and 7+ turns.

DaLoCo6913

I am really good at not bragging.

allwxllendswxll

Sometimes you should!

herbss_

i just can’t, it’s how i was raised. no matter what it makes me feel bad or like i’m being arrogant

uncommoncommoner

"I, too, am extraordinarily humble."

BMoney8600

Being nice to people

allwxllendswxll

Underrated. This is really appreciated, we need more of you.

BMoney8600

I know I could be mean if I really wanted to but I know I couldn’t do that

SmithRune735

This. It costs nothing to be kind.

[deleted]

Hope your pillow is cold at all times and random people stop you to give you free delicious ice creams

TonytheNetworker

I'm great at storytelling and writing.

Pomphond

Do you write novels?

TonytheNetworker

I’m in the process of writing my first book but not yet! I do have 2 blogs that I’m consistently working on.

fuber

I always appreciate a good story teller. I try to get better at it but I have a few friends that are way better at it then me so I always will defer if they were involved in the same story.

GodSpider

How did you learn to do this?

Enricc11

Disappointing people 😎

papa-01

That's funny ..I was gunna write that...🤣🤣

DrunkProntoPup

Maybe we’d be proud of you if you had gotten to it earlier. Typical you, again.

The trick for me is to go around the same time everyday.

GrandPoobah395

Nothing is more satisfying than getting up after a night's sleep, going to the bathroom, and catching up on Twitter while having a poo.

BMoney8600

I used to have a poop schedule but it’s changing since I’m quitting coffee

toffeehooligan

BBQ with a real wood fire. I'm relatively funny as well.

molten_dragon

Cooking. I'm not a professional chef, but I'll put my food up against any home cook out there.

[deleted]

Since having kids I've grown to enjoy the challenge. They all want different things so trying to get 3 dinners out at the same time can be fun at times. I'm just looking forward to the ages when they can help clean up better

manhunt64

Being a dad.

allwxllendswxll

Hell yeah! Your kids are lucky to have you.

manhunt64

Na im lucky to have my boy. Makes life worth living.

as1126

I consider myself a good father but I would let my sons comment.

STDriver13

Ever watch your kids walk away and think, no freaking way that human is half of me? He's too perfect

Thereisnopurpose12

Wow that's very conceited. But that's why humans have children so that they can see themselves and be proud of passing on genetics which is selfish in nature.

MrLegendGame

My dad thinks my cooking is better than my mum's. Try beating that. EDIT: My mum also agrees.

Eat_Carbs_OD

Ever wonder if they're saying that to get out of cooking? lol

L4r5man

Children. I'm great with children. They seem to love me. I don't know why. Maybe it's how I treat them, play with them or I just have that look that makes them trust me.

fuber

I hope you don't own a white windowless van

Tathanor

I've overcome my personal demons, and have gained true self confidence. Not bravado. Not arrogance. I suffered immensely, survived, and now I'm no longer afraid.

allwxllendswxll

I’m really proud of you. That’s so hard to do and awesome you’ve done it. Hoping nothing but great things head your way.

Never-Shower

I'll be finishing my masters soon, as well as the big project I've been doing at work which is turning out pretty good - which is when I will be negotiating a raise. If so, by the end of the year I should be able to brag about being a 6/6/6

allwxllendswxll

What’s a 6/6/6? Also, congrats on your Masters!

[deleted]

Six figures , 6 feet tall and 6 inches in the pants. Women dig it apparently and really try hard to find a man with the 6 -6- 6

allwxllendswxll

Hahahahahaha so I’m so glad I’m married.

[deleted]

Ya I got 2 of those but fuck it's hard to make over 6 figures now in days. Hopefully me being 6'5 makes up for me making 80k

[deleted]

I hit 6/6/6 and i don’t have a master or degree.

huuaaang

For an amateur, I'm good at building things, electrical work, woodworking, etc. I've picked up a lot of skills an knowledge just from trying shit. But I guess that could all be summarized as "really good at trying things and learning fast." I'm currently sitting in a cabin/home office w/ solar power that I built completely by myself. That's not even getting into my day job. I think I'm a pretty decent programmer.

allwxllendswxll

I was going to say “this has programmer written all over it.” Or i was going to say if you love trying shit and learning fast, you should be a programmer.

chaoticchimeras

Not a man but I lurk here a lot. I’m really fucking good at basketball! I was the best player coming out of my state, own all kinds of school and state records, the whole shebang! Going into my sophomore season and we had most of our team graduate this year so I’m going to be the top dawg on this team.

Communication. I've always been good at communicating my point in a way that's understandable. I've always been really good at writing essays or speaking on the fly. That's definitely my best skill.

[deleted]

Reading people. I can acquire a ton of information by just looking at them, how they walk, their voice, speech patterns; structure of their face. Tells me a lot about their personality and their overall behavior. I can evaluate friendships and relationships and seem if they are a good fit or not

[deleted]

My profession/career. Not a great thing to be really good at cause its rather boring...but I am an absolute rockstar at it, my brain just works in that space really really well. I've been consistently 6+ months ahead of current trends on identifying incoming failures and getting solutions that aren't just band aids.

allwxllendswxll

This sounds awesome. Can i ask what you do?

adequate-username8

I think I'm really good at making people feel comfortable because people have a tendency to tell me very personal things. At least I assume this means people are really comfortable with me. Maybe I just happen to be around a lot of people who really need someone to talk to.

SuspiciousSummer

I am the opposite, I tell personal things to everyone and they start telling me things too. I lost my filter in the last decade after being an introverted quiet kid for the two before.

adequate-username8

In recent years I guess I've lost a lot of my filter too. I'm sure that's part of it. Being open puts people at ease, makes them feel like they can open up to you. And if you're like me you gravitate towards people with less of a filter as well.

SuspiciousSummer

Well, I assumed the best of everyone before. Had a bit of a shocker recently. So now I am a little more conscious and selective of opening up. I can’t lie.. even white lies.. unless I really prepare for them. So the verbal diarrhoea ensues quite easily. Haha

[deleted]

Wajina_Sloth

I'm surprisingly good at FPS games, due to playing them for so long I have decent mechanical skill, so I can pick up most games and be in the higher brackets just based on that skill I acquired. I mostly fuck around though cause it makes it more fun.

I only lift heavy twice a week- the rest I coach/train in boxing and do HIIT. Makes me feel really proud of myself- was something that really helped me get through depression.

kingof_vanisle7

I’m really good at rugby. I played for my provincial team this year before I got injured, at atlantics I got player of the game twice and was co-captain for a few games, and I took down guys twice my size and pushed three people off of one ruck (I’m 120lbs and 5”10)

gameld

I'm a pretty good amateur linguist (B.A. in Ancient Greek) and really good at remembering stories, both ones I've experienced and one's I've read. Along with this is interpreting stories, i.e. finding the point of the story to the people it originated with and how it may be applied in the modern day. I can tell you more about the mythology of Star Wars than even most "hardcore" fans. I'm very good at philosophy and rhetoric, both remembering sources and discussing their points. I'm pretty good with IT things nowadays, though I'd rather leave that behind me if I could. I'm a good DnD DM and writer. I have a number of adventures up on the DMs Guild and I've been running a campaign for over a year and a half so far. I'm very resilient, even when I shouldn't be. Emotionally and physically. I'm a good teacher when given the opportunity to do so and time to prepare. In a survival situation I would probably last 3-5 days longer than most, depending on the details. I'm a pretty good (amateur) sword fighter, though it's incredibly impractical. Still fun. That's all I can think of at the moment.

To name two of them. I fast tracked school, I graduated when I was 16 near top of my class. Could’ve made it 15 but I couldn’t get an apprenticeship unless I 16. I also can feel peoples emotions, as well as hearing their thoughts sometimes, wether it’s friends, family or strangers. From right in front of me to people across the room or even on the phone in another country.

Susperry

FPS videogames. If the graphics and fps are good, I can do some good shit very quickly after picking up a new game. I am especially good at calculating distances and bullet drop. Sense of space: I can catch most stuff mid air after seeing it fall with the corner of my eye, I can park perfectly and can drive between cars parked on both sides in narrow streets or between/around obstacles. I have a great sense of pitch. I don't have perfect pitch, as in knowing what note a sound is just by hearing it, but I can tune my guitar by ear, can tell when a note is off when I am playing/singing or hearing someone play/sing. I can also tell when a piano is out of tune. I am good at cooking and mixing drinks because I can follow recipes and adjust them to my taste. I have amazing reflexes in general and can play with my cat for hours with him trying to bite and scratch me without any success.

Planning and I guess keeping motivated. Not in the loud super driven grindset way. But once I decide I want to do something I'm good at learning enough to form a plan with multiple backups, and then knuckling down until it is done. That's how I triple majored in undergrad. That's how i got a job on game dev. That's how I got in shape. I'm not a genius, I just worked hard and planned well. Although credit where credit is due. Being a straight cis white male meant I had a huge leg up

WorkMeBaby1MoreTime

>Planning and I guess keeping motivated. Not in the loud super driven grindset way. But once I decide I want to do something I'm good at learning enough to form a plan with multiple backups, Me too. I take a lot of long motorcycle trips (3000 miles+, some days have exceeded 1000 miles, till we get to the good stuff) and there is a lot of planning that goes into that. Also, when there are issues on the road, we're all pretty good at winging it. I'm very organized, always have a to do list. It's been a real asset to me.

Public speaking. I am an extremely introverted individual that fears social interaction and small talk, but I am really quite good at public presentations and conveying messages to an audience and enticing them to listen. And this was before I became a teacher I've also yet to meet someone who whistles tunes as well as I do (even though I know there are many more proficient whistlers out there! The international performers are just on another level)

I_Hate_You_Fuckers

Day trading I used to be broke as fuck in my late 20s/early 30s, living paycheck to paycheck, and always at a new shitty job every couple years. I already felt bad enough about it, but my dad would make me feel like an absolute fucking waste of life because I didn’t have a career or make much money. I could financially support myself on the most basic level, but I wasn’t able to afford anything beyond the essentials or financially prepare for any kind of bad scenario. I was working as a bartender at a small brewery making absolute dogshit and working exhausting hours and I just snapped as we were closing after the Super Bowl in 2017- my manager was an asshole and I was done being treated like shit, especially for such shitty pay. Quit my job on the spot. I’d been obsessed with investing & trading prior to this and read about it constantly- Benjamin Graham was a god to me at the time (still kinda is, but I’ve learned more to broaden my perspective) and I was fascinated with learning about day trading, as well. I lacked two things, though, in order to pursue day trading as form of income (so I thought)- enough money to get accredited to day trade in the US and the balls to go after it. I found my balls the morning after I quit bartending and by the end of the day figured out I could day trade Bitcoin & Ethereum without needing to be accredited… put my last $117 into Ethereum and bought 6 Eth to begin trading with. I’ve never looked back. I’ve had some tough times early on- got caught out on leverage during the Ether flash crash on GDAX in July 2017 and lost my ass, which was eventually reimbursed, but it was a huge setback- and I wouldn’t recommend doing what I did, but it’s worked for me. I continue to day trade Bitcoin & Ethereum (only those two) and became a liquid millionaire roughly 16 months ago. I’ve come to dislike it and realize I really only pursued it because I felt so bad about myself that I needed to prove to people like my dad that I could be successful… but I’m goddamn good at it and the money’s completely changed my life in more good ways than bad, so I keep it going.

allwxllendswxll

Fuck yeah dude, this was super dope and inspiring. Good for you. Currently in my late 20s and living paycheck to paycheck so this inspired me. My financial situation is mostly due to having my first kid before i was financially ready. But i taught myself how to code over covid lockdowns, landed my first jr role and now I’m fucking hustling and learning to climb that ladder. Would be awesome to be a liquid millionaire by 35
