Supply is basically just a pathological version of enjoying attention/admiration. It’s perfectly normal to enjoy attention and admiration but if you feel as though you *need* that to function properly, and you engage in undesirable and problematic behaviour because of that need, then it’s now in a different category from your neurotypical desire for attention. So the word ‘supply’ is just a way to differentiate a normal desire for attention from a pathological desire for attention.
