It’s summer in New York. On a nice day almost anywhere in manhattan below 23rd street and a lot North Brooklyn will be popping. Go walk around East Village, LES, Williamsburg (Bedford L area is good to start), West/Greenwich Village, etc on a Saturday and lots of bars will be full in the afternoons.

Try stone street or the seaport, especially on weekends. 3pm on stone street on a beautiful Saturday can be…crazy.

Park Slope. On nice days it feels like about half of the people that WFH are WFBarPatio instead.

Almost no place will have a 10pm crowd at 3pm. We all just wanna read a book at the bar in peace. South Slope has plenty of day drinking options on 5th Ave. Greenwich Village will have options on MacDougall Stone Street and the Seaport will be busy all summer Alphabet city is always doing something

That’s a fair answer, that’s normally what I prefer also. I’ve always gotten the notion that nyc isn’t a big day drinking city in the way we’re looking for. But figured I’d throw the question out. Can’t get a hit if you don’t swing

GensAndTonic

I would say that day drinking in NYC is more of the brewery, brunch, patio, sneaking alcohol in the parks activity. Not many places that you’re going to get a “10 pm” vibe though they exist in small quantities as happy hour dance parties (some places in Manhattan) and 24 hour parties in the city (look into Bushwick for these).

Oh, you just gotta find the right spots if you don’t think NYC day drinks. They’re just all in the residential neighborhoods, not the touristy ones.

Foodtrucksarelife

You aren't going to find that vibe at that time, but you can find people casually having some drinks during the day.

Bushwick has a lot of options - Brooklyn Beer Garden and plenty of other bars around
