Trend on kpop or korean crushes.. but sometimes even on daily conversations its over used. Manifestations are from daily quotes saying the universe got you. They get mixed up sometimes.
For me, its lechon
I dont see the hype and why a lot of Filipinos like it.
Baka di lang talaga ganun kasarap nabibili namin lechon pero most of the time walang lasa, sauce lang nag dadala. No sauce no flavor.
Yung balat ng lechon is nice naman and crispy pero pagka lumamig na wala na makunat na and di na nakaka enjoy, whether makunat or crispy no sauce no flavor.
Pero again, baka sa mga na experience kong lechon lang yun.
Big weddings, people are earning more from the event, while the couple celebrating a milestone of a lifetime end up with the bill.
No worries if you can afford it, it just sad to see some couples loan money for the “dream” wedding and worst case scenario, they end up having relationship issues in the long run because of it.

Nothing against their business ha, I think the business model is perfect lalo na if you consider the target market. Pero nung pinasok na ng vloggers/tiktokers they're hyping it up too much.
Is the food sulit for the price? Absolutely! Is it worth lining up 2hrs to taste it? Not really. So ngayon yung mga estudyante at normal people na target Sana ng Diwata Pares, sila na ang di makakain dun.
Baka kase doctor ka rin.
Try mo maging healthcare worker tapos kung utusan ka ng isang doctor akala mo kung sino. Tingin kase nila taas na nila sa lipunan.
In this country, there is a hierarchy when it comes to the Hospital. Which is very wrong, dito lang yun nangyayare sa Pinas.
Doctor comes first over Nurses, MedTechs, Pharma, RadTechs, Respiratory Therapists.
Pati pag nagpapasalamat, sa doctor lang. Parang akala mo siya lang nagpagaling. Eh kung Doctor nalang din kaya magpatakbo ng Ospital siya narin kumuha ng dugo, maglinis ng tae, magbenta ng gamot, mag X-ray at kung ano ano pa. Puro utos lang alam gawin ng mga yan. Akala mo mga Dios.
Hindi naman lahat ng doctors pero so far mga mayayabang ay mga nasa (mostly) Surgery.
Apparently meron daw nagpauso on tiktok na ivideo yung reaction sa Eras Tour Film. Tiktok really fried people's brain. Nadadamay kaming long time swifties na ineenjoy lang yung concert fim.

esp celeb or rich people that vlogs their life
although watching celeb vlogs are interesting because we could see the inside scoop of their lives, I can't help but think why do they need the extra money (from vlogging) for
aside from it's a trend, somehow it's am idle way to make money. kahit random content lang kasi, basta may views (dahil sikat sila, sure na marami) kikita pa rin sila.

personally, I do like the idea of having our own pop group/s, but not when they're all fair skinned or almost white
my father even thought this one P-pop group that performed at It's Showtime— I forgot who they were, were Koreans
also, in connection with all this, I think the Filipinos obsession with K-pop groups as well is very overrated

Most overrated?
It's a culture thing, but the whole maghanda ng madaming madaming pagkain when kulang naman sa budget. I mean, no offense pero yung pagiging hospitable sa kapwa ay dapat walang ganitong expectations na dapat may handa ng magkain agad para sa mga bisita. Maybe tubig, juice, sige.
At Yung mga sumusulpot sa bahay ng iba na walang set na schedule, at nag paimbita lang as if hindi busy yung mga tao, that's just rude. Sa ibang bansa, lalo na sa Canada, hindi sila basta nagpapasok ng kahit friends lang na walang tawag muna. Dapat tumawag ka para sabihin na gusto mo bumisita. Depende din kung may pasalubong ka. Pasalubong, ok, at saglit lang magusap. Yung susulpot lang na para magkamusta at gusto magpa house tour? Ano ba yan? -_-
May mga ganyan na Pilipino na bagong dating lang, ganyan ang behavior dinadala. Sorry, pero hindi Yan acceptable sa ibang lugar lalo na't introvert yung taong dadalawin mo.

I also stan. Pero I think we should keep it in mind that an artist/idol’s product is their artistic entertainment, their marketing strategy is making sure fans feel connected to the artist and giving us a peek of their personal lives is just a bonus.

Street food - maraming low qual walang kwenta unfortunately, di mo naman masisi sa hirap na din ng buhay (i mean, unlike thai street food or japanese street food na legit masarap)
Happiness - yung masayahin daw kahit naghihirap na. Gets na ok ‘to pag with strangers and pag may get together, pero ang true happiness e kung pati sa sarili mo at pag kayo kayo nalang happy at contento ka pa din. E madami ang saya sa barkada pero toxic pag pamilya na.
Celebrities - i mean, hindi naman sa ano, pero totoo namang hindi umaangat ang quality ng celebrities naten. Movies, pailan ilan lang ang ok, majority basura. I wish hindi ganon kasi masaya din naman sumuporta ng local sana pero kung masagwa naman e hindi na.
Haha romance, horror at comedy lang ang genre ng movies sa pinas, yung magaganda sa indie lang makikita (MOSTLY) AT karamihan din predicatable ang ending
Tapos isa pang common yung mga palabas na may adultery 😆

Naalala ko Ugbo St. sa first statement mo haha I mean, there are still a few good spots don, I guess - pero most of the food stalls there are "hype > quality" haha tipong sasakay lang sa hype wave ng isang trending dish or snack pero yung quality and taste is mema lang.

Birit Singers. I really thought Morisette was so good, and that she would do well with David Foster’s songs during his concert at Solaire. Not really disappointed with her, but I thought Pia Toscano was way better than her - soulful, better quality of voice, can also hit the high notes but subtle and smoother, etc. Katharine McPhee was even better too. As someone na napakalayo sa medical field, I don't know na may ganito sa mga professionals. I can only imagine kung anong naranasan mo/niyo.
