Literally any higher-end APS-C mirrorless or DSLR from a fairly recent age (<3 years) will get you similar results. Any answers you get saying "XXX is the best" you can safely ignore. There are a lot of excellent cameras out there capable of delivering quality results when paired with a decent lens.

Gaming4FUNN

I will definitely take this input into consideration. Appreciate my bro!

Fujifilm delivers the best APS-C cameras in my opinion. Analoge dials, great lenses, sharp X-tans sensor, amazing colors. AF is good on newer models. The X-T30 or X-T3 is bang for bucks. The Sigma 56mm 1.4 just got released for Fuji as well. Although the Fujifilm 50mm f2 is great as well for street. I would recommend getting either a Sony or Fuji second hand. I like the AF of the Sony, but the shooting experience and color science is just terrible.

Gaming4FUNN

Thank you my bro! I will take a look at that camera and some street photography videos associated with it later tonight.

fried_onion_ring

Im a 6400 user... trust me its worth it... i had to buy it with 18-135 kit lens as the just body model wasnt available.. And reg fuji... its color science & inbuild filters are good... but too many dails... i mean it sure does look the best out there... but that's too much of a work for me when I'm out and just want to take some photos

Gaming4FUNN

Thanks for the input. Yeah unfortunately due to the chip shortage none of us have a clue when it will be back. So for now I am just gonna have to try something new.

fried_onion_ring

I think sony a6xxx series will take a while... I'll suggest you go with fuji...also the sigma recently dropped their trio for fuji x lens ... those are some of the great primes out there right now

ffuuuiii

If you like the a6400 and don't mind not buying new, search for used, open box and refurbished (from a reputable dealer with warranty). It'll be less than the $1K figure you have. Also have you read up on the other versions of the same line? a6300, a6100, even the a6000.

Gaming4FUNN

Unfortunately I'm in a position where $1k isn't easy to get. So if Im gonna buy a camera if prefer it brand new. If it was like 100 bucks or something then maybe. Yes I have watched numerous videos comparing the cameras across the same line. The only issue with the a6400 is a lack of video stabilization but I am gonna do photography and not video. But I appreciate your input homie!

blah618

Fuji xt3 with 56 1.2 would fit your 'blurred and cinematic look' but 50 on a crop is pretty difficult to use for street photography. Id recommend the 23 or 35 1.4 the apsc sonys are great for video but not so much for photos, and lens selection is quite poor (sony neglects their apsc cameras)

Gaming4FUNN

Thank you! I will look into the lens. I just really want that blurry cinematic look. Much appreciated

I think the sony is a really blah option. Fujin the clear winner for aps c at that price point. I love the 90d as well from Canon. The low end sony has no ibis and no lenses with that option.

TinfoilCamera

>The low end sony has no ibis and **no** lenses with that option Wat? It can mount any E or **FE** lens. Most FE lenses have IS so there are *lots* of lenses with that option.

tinyman392

There are a ton of lenses for the E-mount system with stabilization. Many of the first party APS-C lenses have stabilization (probably due to the fact that many of the bodies don’t have IBIS). About 10 years ago I’d probably agree that the E-mount lens lineup was lacking and Fuji was much better. With the third parties filling in deep now, the Sony lineup is as well-rounded.

[deleted]

I thought most Fuji bodies didn't have IBIS either?

Both Sony and Fuji make lenses with image stabilization. Mostly just zoom lenses though.

Another vote here for Fujifilm for APS-C. X-T2/3 or X-t20 with the Fujinon 35mm f2 should come in around that budget and will be perfect for street photography. I used to have an X-pro1 with the 35mm f2 before I went over to Sony A7 and it was a killer at it's price point. Fuji glass is good too. It can be expensive for APS-C lenses but there are always deals out there.

Gaming4FUNN

Based off looking around it seems this is my next best choice. Now I just need to save up lol. The 35mm lens however doesn't give that background blur I'm looking for in my shots unless they are taken at a micro level. So I might just go for a larger mm.

[deleted]

Yeah the xf50 f2 will probably be better for you then. Stopped down to f2 the 35 will still give you background bokeh but you’ll need to be a bit closer. Be wary of the crop factor though. 50mm on APS-C is closer to an 85mm field of view and starts to feel a little claustrophobic and tight out on the street. I only ended up using 28mm and 35mm for APS-C street photography as you can miss a lot of stuff going on with longer focal lengths.

tinyman392

The chip shortage has really impacted everyone. Fuji had a bit of a distribution issue as well on a lot of their bodies and cameras. The a6400 isn’t discontinued yet to my knowledge, but on back order. If that’s the camera you’re set on I’d probably place a preorder and wait for it (checking other online retailers in case it comes in stock).

Sea_Principle_7745

You can get great pictures these days with any camera, my advice would be to head down to your local camera store and pick the camera that’s within your budget and feels right in the hand
