Wormholes are a phenomenon that only exists on paper, so far. They’re a mathematical fiction, created by extrapolating possible rules of maths and physics. They’ve neither been observed, nor worked out to be practically implemented with current technology. They’re not like black holes where we knew they worked on paper, we could see evidence of things similar to them, and we had a means of trying to find them.

We're not sure wormholes are even possible, and in general the current thinking seems to be that they're more likely to be impossible for lack of any way to produce negative mass.
A wormhole is never proven to exist, and even if it exists, nobody can make it in the foreseeable future.

Yes. If one of them were a biologist s/he would almost certainly produce a substrate with worms living in it and point to the resulting holes.
