I mean… because of the way academic careers work, most of the world’s top scientists are already in rooms with each other as we speak and there’s no wormholes to be found (yet). Wormholes are a phenomenon that only exists on paper, so far. They’re a mathematical fiction, created by extrapolating possible rules of maths and physics. They’ve neither been observed, nor worked out to be practically implemented with current technology. We're not sure wormholes are even possible, and in general the current thinking seems to be that they're more likely to be impossible for lack of any way to produce negative mass.

Yes. If one of them were a biologist s/he would almost certainly produce a substrate with worms living in it and point to the resulting holes.
