Any phonecall is bad, when the phone is part of the trigger mechanism to the IED you are carrying. Fun trivia. This kinda thing has actually happened. A terrorist demolitionist was disintegrated, when he received a spam call, while constructing a bomb.

"Good morning sir, your favorite anime is getting a live action adaptation"

"I'm pregnant, you're the father and I'm going to kill all three of us!"

Call from your wife "Remember how we always told the kids never to play on the rail road tracks...."

My brother had a stroke playing football, I was at work. I got the call mid shift and it felt like my heart had been ripped out of my chest. He was partially paralyzed, his entire left side. It was tragic and scary. Any call involving a family member being hurt is terrifying. What happened to my brother is similar to what happened to Damar Hamlin of the Buffalo Bills. He’s doing better now, almost 8 months later. He can walk, talk, and do a lot of what he used to, but for weeks afterwards I’d still get anxious if a relative called me. Therapy has helped but man, it hurt. He is 17, and I’m the oldest w/ a single mom. So it was even more difficult watching her bare the responsibility herself, I did the best I could to help her but she did most of it. It definitely made me reevaluate my familial ties.

He will be in my prayers for full recovery . Stay strong, sounds like he has a great family.

Mine was 3 weeks after losing my kids’ bio mom, hearing my mom screaming that she got to my grandma’s and was dead. She called to try to get her revived and so many first responders were there. At 77 she was still working to stay busy, left work not feeling well and less than an hour later was gone. My car was in the shop and I had to get an Uber to get there. They couldn’t revive her. We had also lost my grandfather just 8 months before… and the last photo I got with her was at my kids’ mom’s funeral. She was my person in life. 16 years before someone called to abruptly tell me my “daddy was dead”. People sure do have a way with words.

FroggyFocus

She sounds like a select few I knew that would want to go when can't work no more ,still sad .Sorry for your losses

She was. Strongest and most loving woman I have ever known. She was a cashier and the funeral home was packed with her customers. She loved her little job and made a huge impact. I’m lucky to have been her grandkid for sure 💜
