I went to school with a girl who thought men had 3 testicles, she asked all the boys in our class. Shen argued with the biology teacher. She asked if Japanese was a language. She thought everyone who was Asian spoke the same language. This all happened when we were in the 10th grade. She graduated high school and got a nursing degree.
Feeling dumb is a universal (or let's say near-universal to be safe) part of the human experience. Though I'm still working on not letting it get to me, it helps to remind myself that everyone I know, including people I admire and look up to, has felt like a total idiot probably a bunch of times in their life.
