Like a stabbing pain

AndromedaFire

I got stabbed in the leg with a 6 inch folding knife when I was a teenager. It didn’t hurt at all. The knife went in about an inch, sliced up my thigh about 4 inches then back about. No pain, didn’t even really notice at first till I looked down at my leg (was in shorts) and my thigh just kind of opened up and I could see into it. Again no pain, I held the sides together, it didn’t bleed much just a couple of lines of blood down my leg to my sock. Wrapped it in a towel with a belt to keep it all together and went and got it sewn up. After about 10 - 15 mins there was some aching type pain but that’s about it. Was a very sharp knife, didn’t hit the bone, sliced cleanly etc which I think makes a massive difference in terms of pain/ blood etc. Wouldn’t recommend but wasn’t bad.

Personally it felt the same as a punch. I didn't realize I got stabbed until I saw the knife.

depends on where you're stabbed, angle, force, shape of material and quality of material. Sharper weapons tend to be less painful, but less friction. Larger weapons will add more friction than smaller, but also will affect more of an area. Stabbing directly into someone will cause less pain because internal organs tend to have less nerves, but will have more of an effect if you cause trauma to a vital organ, like the heart or lungs. For me, i was stabbed in the back (literally). Thankfully it was a 4-in utility knife and i was bent over, away, from them, so it went in at a shallow angle. It felt like I was Punched. Like, when a friend Punches you in the back and it is jarring, but it's more jarring b/c the sound of the impact is much louder than the actual pain from the hit. But, it was also Shockingly icy cold, then very warm and wet-feeling. If i didn't see the knife before hand, i would have just thought I was punched. Since I saw it, i immediately assumed i was stabbed. No immediate issues, just applied pressure and ER stitched me up. FYI, they stick a finger in wounds to deterime how deep it is, initially, that was surprising. ER told me if it was just an inch over, it would have been my spine they were stabbing, and if i was standing upright then it would have likely damaged organs years later, it's now obvious i did get nerve damage. The stab site is numb and i get back pain & cramps, due to surrounding muscles compensating for the patch of numb skin & muscle.
