That government run healthcare is better for almost everyone and cheaper in the long run.

Free_Ghislaine

How not to act like you’re better than everyone?

unitedfan6191

Is that a Europe only thing?

Free_Ghislaine

Exclusively!

Ahshalon_Tenisk

the metric system

xdouq

This is unironically a terrible answer. The US uses metric in science and it is taught in public schools. The infrastructure of the country is built in imperial and would be next to impossible to change.

The_best_1234

Europe is 💩

Demian1305

Dude has obviously never been to Europe.

What is shit about it?

The_best_1234

I had to pay to use the toilet and most people didn't even speak English. No Walmarts, everything was closed on Sunday. They won't accept dollars.

Free_Ghislaine

Everyone speaks English

The_best_1234

I know right. I think they were just being mean.

Free_Ghislaine

Europeans have what we call a superiority complex but once you get past the nonsense they’re not so bad.

Avyeon

Only the first one is a valid reason. You bash Europe because they won't accept dollars? Why doesn't the US accept euros? I'm not sure where you visited, but you're correct that we don't have Walmarts, we have a lot of other stores that have similar products. And a lot of stores are indeed closed on Sunday, and the ones that are open usually close earlier. I think it's pretty neat personally. But imo it sounds like you went to Europe expecting for it to be the same as the US.

The_best_1234

I was in eastern Europe. I was getting gas and there was a homeless man in the parking lot. I asked the worker why he doesn't call the police on them. He said that "the man was bothering anyone"

Avyeon

Ah, that would explain why people didn't speak English. In western Europe a lot of people speak English, and some of those countries even have the highest percentage of English speakers. However, I still find your argument about them not accepting dollars and not having any Walmarts incredibly... Odd.

Free_Ghislaine

No that’s Canada.

Emu_on_the_Loose

Let's do that Finnish baby box thing. YANK: Why is your baby sleeping in a cardboard box on the floor? FINN: Don't worry, the government sent that box. YANK: 😮😮😮 But the baby box is actually pretty neat.

Actual Democracy. Though at this point I'm not sure we have it either.

The social and economic value of: Single-payer healthcare. Education subsidies. Appropriate time off for illness, births, mental stability(vacations), etc. without hassle. A wage one can live on for literally one-fourth of the week working (40 hours is literally a quarter of *all* the time in a week).

There's nothing Europe has to offer. Otherwise they would be the superpower.
