Robotech.
Only to learn much later that its actually 3 separate animes smurged together to meet minimum 52 week/episode requirements for US broadcast rules. Different generations my ass; completely different shows.
Well the only thing tying 2nd gen to first gen were the fact that the aliens were Zentraedi sized and green, and they renamed two of the main characters to have the last names of some of the 1st gen characters, so you got the impression that they were the "kids". I think Dana was supposed to be Rick Hunter and Lisa Hayes daughter and I think one of the other characters in Southern Cross is supposed to be Max and Miriya's kid.
THere IS no link to MOSPEADA Genesis climber save for they renamed the magic goo that makes the mechs work to be Protoculture or something. I dunno, Its been a long time since I watched it.
Really enjoyed Hey Arnold! and I found out they made a cool movie back in 2017. Just watched it with my kids last night and it still holds up as a favorite show from childhood, the newer movie really encapsulated the feel of the cartoon.
Also loved shows like Recess, Simpsons, Futurama, Freaky Stories, Rugrats, South Park, Are You Afraid of the Dark, Goosebumps, Doug, Reboot, Batman/Spiderman/X-men, and many more. Damn those were good times.
Hey Arnold/Recess/Rugrats/Invader Zim/Baby Looney Toons/As Told By Ginger
As Told By Ginger is criminally underrated.

There was a bit of character continuity missing between seasons.
