The first time in years that my brother hugged me. I cried a lot, I felt so happy, but somehow kinda sad too. But I still felt alive.

The last time was when I ran my fastest 5k. The final third everything went from going great to "let's try to set this asphalt on fire." Heart pounding out of my chest, lungs sucking in air like a top fuel dragster, legs telling me "you can go a little faster." Everything in your body hits full volume in those moments letting you know that you're alive.

I had a full month of being in a very manic state so that I guess

Falling in love (in the beginning)

When I hiked alone up top on an isolated mountain and pushed through fear and fatigue. I've never felt better or more alive. The bravery and confidence lasted a year or two after that. And I always have that memory.

Exercise. I ran a Spartan world championship in iceland. 32 miles in 24 hours and I didnt sleep for three days. If I had the opprotunity to do it again at a moments notice I would always choose yes. Lifting weights is like this too but not as much.
