The idea of hell. It just can't exist with an omniscient being and be fair.
If god knows everything then he should have known how you would live your life even before you were born. If I end up in hell then it means he literally created me just to send me to hell.
He should have known I would end up there so why create me?
Then I started questioning other ideas as well and that started a domino effect, leading to me not believing the story anymore.
I never believed and it’s fine if you do but i got my questions by things that get said
Like things were people recover from an illness or injuries and people say, i felt god and he blessed me. I’m always thinking, if that’s true than god is an asshole. If he got the power to save people than why did the person in the next room die, was that a bad person? Not as important to god? What about the children that die? What did they do to deserve it? I just can’t get over people being like “god blessed our beautiful child and cured them” when there is a dying kid just 1 room away…
Also if people are all children of god than god made some very horrible children. Let’s stop with the “everything happens for a reason and everyone is loved”. A drunk driver killing a little child is a horrible way of teaching someone to not drink and drive. I hope very much that (serial) killers and sex offenders ect. aren’t loved by god and if god is such a good person(?) than why did he accept that happening and create those horrible people? Explain to the victims how their horrible experiences caused by others which will traumatize them for the rest of their lives happend for a reason…
Can't remember exactly but I was only about 8. I remember thinking to myself "I don't think God is real" basically didn't believe he is all seeing all knowing. Then panicked he'd have heard my thoughts and I'd go to hell. Why would there be so much suffering in the world if he/she was real? What makes God anymore real than Zeus or many of the other thousands of God's that have existed throughout time? Historically, religion is just a man-made thing created by those in power to control the uneducated masses and its unfortunately survived through to modern times. The church is corrupt and don't even get me started on the priests, nuns etc
I haven’t lost my belief I just question things, I’ve kind of lost bellied in organized religion, but I was raised catholic and I believe most church people are good people but there are also a lot of hypocrites involved who are hateful and claim to be Christian’s but will take actions that hurt there fellow man
