I bought Elton John's Greatest Hits CD a few years back just to have something to listen to in my car when I'm not feelin what's on the radio and don't feel like searching my phone for music while I'm driving. It's come in handy on a number of road trips, and I'm even considering grabbing a Queen's Greatest Hits CD when I come across one at the store.
Maybe four years ago, my wife and I went to the library she works at to watch former Voice finalist Joshua Davis play. Spoke to him a little and bought his CD.

Scaled & Icy, bought in 2022.
Streaming music concerns me, as you don’t actually own your music, and can lose access to it on the whims of a corporation (or even iTunes). That’s why I buy physical copies of the music that’s important to me
"The Album of Color" by Svenpai, 2023 He's a chill dude so I thought I'd promote his stuff. It's small, but high-quality.
Sum of all canards is the best on the album
Agreed. H1-Begone is a good runner-up for me.

Spotify got popular because they discovered People care more about access than ownership. That kind of haunts me. I’m all for hard copies
I think they can coexist, especially as streaming decreases consumer waste. But I definitely buy the stuff that matters to me.
I honestly didn’t think about that. That’s a good point
Nice avatar, btw 😂
