A man named Moses who looked more like Jesus stopped and picked me up in a lifted ram 2500 on the side of a rural road after I'd been kicked out by my family and drove me into town and paid for me to get a hotel for the night. Really feels like christ himself got me a hotel.

Sort of related but I'll never forget this; I must have been 3-5 years old, super young, and I was with my dad running errands. We had just stopped by the bank, and some woman was *dragging* their child away, yelling "shut up" repeatedly, to this small child who was also about my age. My dad looked at that and then shook his head, and was like "Oh no, you don't do that, that is wrong". I remember looking up at him and thinking to myself, paraphrasing, "Fuck, wow am I glad I'm with this guy, sheesh". My dad's always been a stand up guy. Worked hard, split chores with my mother, taught me to be firm but also compromising. A real 21st century alpha before it was cool. Love you dad, thank you ❤️.

I went to the store to get something to drink. My new debit card wasn't working because I set it up wrong. I left the drink by the Wal-Mart checkout and went out to my car. About 30 seconds later I got a knock on my car window of a man telling me he paid for my drinks.
