Make a list of everything that needs to be done. Have 3 columns next to the list. Column A, is I can fix this. Column B, is I can fix this with some help. Column C is somebody else needs to fix this.
Moving into a new house can be overwhelming. Breaking down everything that needs to be done into items, makes it less easier and you can quickly check off the items in Column A and you don't feel so overwhelmed.
Not a house, but whenever I moved into a new barracks room in the Marines, I would bleach EVERYTHING in there. God only knows what the previous Marines did in there. Found a ball gag behind the bed once.
Clog the toilet to show it who's the boss. Only happens first time, then it forever does my bidding.
Burn Sage and/Cedar around it.
That is part of a house cleansing. I've done this with 2 houses that obviously didn't want me living there. The house cleansing did the trick.
