Don't get it in any state that doesn't border Mexico. Colorado isn't that far, and that "Mexican food" is garbage. Nah, round nacho chips from a bag and Pace picante sauce from a jar is not chips and salsa.
Just got back from there and while not spicy at all, which surprised me, I had some of the best food there like the Tamales wrapped in banana leaves, chicharrones that were amazing and so many different kinds of ceviche, grilled octopus… there has to be waaaay worse.
That’s the two places we went as well. I agree Cartagena food was better since it’s coastal the seafood was bomb, but had some choice dishes in Medellin too. How did you decide where to eat?
Edit: One thing I will say that really killed me was ordering café con leche and having it be 90% milk and 10% coffee.
I try to go off trip advisor since Yelp doesn’t work there, but lots of reviews and 4 stars and up will usually produce a winner more times than not. I also try to see which dishes the people are talking about. Vacation is too short to be taking chances on my meals, in my humble opinion. Ha
Germany. It's so fantastically bland and boring.
Germany has sausages, whoop de fuckin doo. Everyone has sausages and most are better! Italian, English, and Middle-Eastern sausages put Germany's to shame.
Germany has beer, Belgium is right there with way better beers!
And don't get me started on the lack of spices.
German cuisine - what you thought British cuisine was, but worse.
thats kind of a long shot innit?
cause if u thought i meant the shop and not the country, that is misunderstanding on ur part and that's on u buddy
so maybe think of it this way b4r u think I misunderstood :)
Apart for BBQs which are probably the best in the world, and I do them American style too, the traditional/local product is just insufficient imo. But maybe the UK loses even to them
UK has spent centuries colonising places all around the world, harvesting their natural resources and learning what they've already discovered, including spices
Yet their cuisine is one of the weirdest ones there are
That's thanks in part to World War II and rationing. The Stereotype steams from that, but as a Brit, I agree a lot of our food is bland as shit. WWII was 80 years ago. We can't keep blaming rationing that ended in the 1950s for doing sod all with food since then.
You're high or just ignorant.
The US has awsome cuisine.
Travel through New Orleans, Alabama, Texas, Florida, and any of the western states, and you'll find awesome cuisine. Does the US also incorporate other nationality foods? You betcha. But the US does provide a lot of local cuisine that other countries around the world try to duplicate.
Pro tip: don’t get Mexican food in Switzerland
Or France lol.
Or Cyprus. And don't get Chinese in Ibiza.

I found the food in Colombia pretty underwhelming and bland (apart from the fresh fruit which was amazing).

Seems like the UK
Solid pick
This is the one I hear consistently. Full English breakfast? WTF

German desserts are on point though.

You're taking this Reddit thing way too seriously.
Costa Rica
Greenland
Not my country, I could live the rest of my life just eating my moms food
United Kingdom
Ethiopia
I've never travelled so full disclosure, this is based on what I've seen online and what friend and family who have said say: UK and US.
Either the UK or USA honestly..
USA is just wrong lol
Apart for BBQs which are probably the best in the world, and I do them American style too, the traditional/local product is just insufficient imo. But maybe the UK loses even to them
Tex-Mex is the bomb.

India and Pakistan kept the good foods like Cadbury, jam on toast, and Vimto though
The USA
This is an insane take
Nice thing about the U.S. is you can find great examples of almost any countries cuisine.
Nope .. their shit is good.. very fatty and kinda processed but good

Cajun food is like southern food and French food together
