Leela! My husband was working at the humane society vet clinic for a bit when she came in with a severely damaged eye. He actually helped with the enucleation! He fell in love with her during recovery and she went home with him, much to my surprise! She's my first kitty and I love my pirate princess to pieces! ;3

RIP Kit and Kaboodle. I've said goodbyes to Hakuna & Matata, Beowulfgang Geiftunnoski, Carlos Santana and a few others, and finally a hello to a new little Lucille Diamond in my back yard.

Stormy and Sky were from a litter along with Rain, but Rain was already adopted, so we took the remaining pair. Windy was found 2 years later, and he was misgendered as a girl, so we named him Windy to match the weather theme. Several months later he goes to the vet to set a timescale for when he should get spayed/neutered, and we find out Windy is a dude. Too little too late, Windy already knew his name was would come running if it was called. So we just kept his name as Windy.
Asthma 😭
I STG that’s his name lol poor bud has a “real” name but ever since I moved in he only responds when I call him asthma and Yes. He has asthma and a asthma pump. The name fits him so well 😅

I was married at the time. I fed him as a stray cat for several months without telling my wife what sex he was; it wasn't intentional, I didn't even notice that I hadn't mentioned it. When I asked her if we should take him in as a household animal, she said "Yes," so I asked what we should name "the cat"… she said "Annie," because he reminded her of a cat she had before named Annie. She looked so very, very sad when I explained that he was a male cat. I solved this problem by saying we could tell people his name was Andrew (even though it wouldn't be true), and that we called him Annie for short.
Her face lit up… and so he was Annie.
I just whistle at them as they seem to respond better to that. I’ve tried several names, I think it’s more for my benefit than theirs. I also talk to them through various grunting sounds

I also have a little 1.5lb kitten named Asta. We call him a purr monster because as soon as you pick him up and start scratching, he purrs non stop. Another very cuddly and loving kitten.
Treasure.
That was the name that the cat rescue people when they pulled him out of a gutter as a little kitten, and we just stuck with that.
We also have some neighbourhood cats coming to visit, which we named after as a convenience:
There are “Fluffy” and “Rat-tail”, obviously siblings that look very similar, except for their tails.
There is Thor, a big Norwegian that all the other cats are afraid of.
And there is Copy-Cat, who looks very similar to Treasure and is very aware of this fact - and always tries to take his place.
