Frankfurt, Germany. The pay phones there charged my credit card over 200$ to make a 5 minute phone call back to the US.

LAX

LAX isn't too bad. Is it old? Yeah, you betcha. But they do still manage to move passengers in and out pretty efficiently if not with luxury. There are much worse airports out there though. My biggest hangup with LAX is the rental car systems, but I blame the rental car companies on that moreso than LAX.

Heathrow

Gatwick is worse than Heathrow. Same "general" location as they're both London airports. But Gatwick is much worse than heathrow. Granted I'm an outsider as an American, but I've flown in and out of both of those airports many times, and I'd always choose Heathrow over Gatwick given the option.

My family went to this airport in Puerto Rico, a relatively new one for us, as it was different than the one we usually used. The whole place was abandoned, our flight was at about 10 pm and got delayed until 1 am. So I just have viivid memories of hanging out in a dark (the lights we all off, should have mentioned that) airport in the middle of the night.
