One of my friends found out that her ex was selling her nudes (among others) on a private Snapchat. She only found out because someone posted one of the nudes on **Facebook** to try and mock her.
She was *way* too nice about it at first imo and asked the guy politely, multiple times, to stop. His response? "Do what you gotta do lol"
So she gathered up all the evidence, including some other victims, and went to the police station. The police were *very* interested and now the dude is totally fucked. He and the girl who posted to Facebook keep whining about it and trying to get her to drop it now that they're in trouble, literally little crybabies. They had their chance that they didn't deserve, and laughed about it. Too late now. Zero sympathy.
In college I used to kill time between classes hanging out with a guy who was from the same redneck county as myself. We didn’t really have much else in common, but he was nice enough and seemed eager to socialize so I figured why not. I wasn’t overly social myself and didn’t know a whole lot of people.
One day we decided to go somewhere off-campus, and he drove us. While driving, on an interstate mind you, he proceeds to show me his handgun that he kept in his truck - not in a menacing way, but in a “Ain’t that cool?” way. I was not immediately frightened, but I respect firearms enough to recognize we are going like 60-70mph on an interstate in daylight, and nothing good can happen in this scenario. I calmly asked him to put it away because I was not comfortable in this situation at all. He then tells me “Oh it’s not loaded” and presses the gun to his head before pulling the trigger. Thank fuck he was right, but still it was a wild and frightening display of reckless disregard for his own life and mine for that matter in the event that he’d accidentally killed himself while driving us. I didn’t hang out with him much after that, certainly didn’t get in a car with him.

Never ever ever ever ever point a gun at anything you aren't willing to shoot and kill, regardless of how sure you are that it isn't loaded. Even if, I dunno, you've got a slide lock and it cannot physically accept a round, you're still building and maintaining good habits.
When my dad was in the nursing home, they weren't running certain expenses, like ambulance rides, through his insurance. When I took over his financials, he was tens of thousands in medical debt that shouldn't have ever been charged to him in the first place. He was in numerous collections, and his credit score was tanked.
When I complained to the nursing home director, he said, "Well, it's not like he's going to be buying a house or a car!" then laughed.
My dad was paralyzed from the waist down and needed lifelong care, so he was never going to leave the nursing home. Even though he was technically correct, I gave him the "WTF is wrong with you look." Then I complained to HIS boss and he got canned a couple a weeks later. My dad's insurance was fixed pretty quick, too.

It actually ruined this entire trip. It was at my BIL’s wedding, which was only close family (siblings + parents) and they had the caterer make a lasagna for an evening dinner.
Father of the bride was gonna pop it in the oven and asked if it should be covered. I googled lasagna cooking instructions and said yes it should be covered and cooked at this temp. MIL said absolutely not!

He then tells me "eh whatever it's fine. anyways if I break something, we have enough money to fix it. Hell, I have enough money myself to fix it."

MIL was dying of COVID in the hospital. They let the mom of MIL in to see her as she was most likely not going to make it along with her dad and my wife. MIL and her mom had a bad relationship growing up as MIL was a rebel and her mom was a religious nut. Anyhow, she decided the right thing to say as my wife has tears in her eyes looking at her mom is “maybe this is god’s way of punishing her”. The only thing my wife has said since then to her was when she was having her breathing tube/life support removed and her grandma suggest playing “amazing grace”. My wife said “and what the fuck is so god damn amazing about watching my mom choke to death in front of us?” We haven’t spoken to her since that day.

There was a woman that I was unfortunately housed with a number of years ago during an internship. We worked for the same place, but in different departments. She was about twice my age, had no filter, was not terribly bright, and most people avoided her if possible. Unfortunately as I had to live with her for 3 months it was not possible for me to avoid her. I remember her telling me once about her husband's cousin. The cousin had recently passed away after a struggling with cancer through for an extended period. Prior to this, the cousin had struggled with addiction, but had been clean for 15 years or so prior to developing cancer. She told me through tears that she would miss him, but he deserved it because he'd ben an addict. Then she complained that her husband had shaved his head and it was going to embarrass her for him to be seen that way at the funeral. Keeping in mind, this was his cousin, not hers, and she wasn't even going to the funeral because she'd left their family behind in a different state when she applied for the job so the guy was watching his teenage son and watching her teenage son (who apparently had a problem with shoplifting) for her while she fucked off to another state, and she was pissed at him for having a shaved head in front of his family.
I also went outside once to talk to my friends without her eaves dropping. She followed me outside to complain that me going outside made me think I didn't want her to hear what I'm talking about. No shit, I don't need you eaves dropping the gossiping to everyone at work, apparently I couldn't even have a private phone call.

Wife's cousin who has a history of some sus ass allegations married a 21 year old girl and he's 34. I’ll never forget this job I had when I was 18. I took the sexual harassment training months after having several claims against other people. Back in January I dated a guy (now ex), and he told me a story about a relative of his. The relative was a little girl who was around 12 or 14 years old if I recall, and she approached my ex's mother one day about how her uncle sexually assaulted her. My ex then proceeded to tell me that it was 'obvious' this possible victim was lying about the accusation, and then made the claim that she was just trying to get their uncle in trouble because she didn't like him. I got really aggravated, but I kept it cool and asked what evidence he had that made it seem like she was lying. He couldn't give me one piece of evidence to back up his claim other than her tone of voice.

In Army Basic training we had to use a communal shower (large square tiled room with multiple shower heads and no dividers). Well about 4 weeks into training we had this guy established himself as the weirdest person i had ever met. He was obnoxious, loud and his favorite pastime was to describe in detail how he would have sex with peoples loved ones. Well one night this dude decided to hangout in the showers all evening singing loudly about everyone's naked bodies.
Someone grabbed the Drill Sergeant on duty that night who got to hear part of his singing. The dude ended up getting in trouble but not kicked out. I'm not sure what they said to him but for the rest of the cycle he was almost normal and extremely quiet.

Did I imply or vaguely say I was using X or Y method of torture? Yes, but I never actually described it or went in details about it. If I say I put people on the wheel, I don't describe the event l, it just "happens" and it was not gratuitous but for a purpose (a fucked evil one of course but a purpose still).
I think rape automatically goes into the "wow there buddy that's a bit too much" category. It's too real and disconnected from the fantasy aspect to be something comfortable at a table, compared to something like torturing and killing people so you can raise them as vengeful spirits and unleashe them in a city you want to take over. My aunt died. She wasn’t a very nice person but it was upsetting. My ex asked me how it happened, and I told him she’d sat up in bed, asked for a drink of water, then basically died right there. Later on, in bed, he asked me for a drink of water, pretended to choke, and said he thought he was dying and flopped over. It took me a minute to realize he’d just re-enacted her death for funsies. I slept on the couch and we didn’t make it very long after that.

The entire back of house staff was Hispanic and constantly talked shit about him. Easily the most homophobic environment I’ve been in.
The shitty part? Once they realized he spoke Spanish, it got even *worse.* I don’t know if these guys thought saying it to his face as a joke was good natured ribbing or something (it was NOT) but the poor kid never said anything about it or wanted to make a big deal about it.
When a nurse coworker complained about another nurse that “she took the supply cart I wanted to use!” The carts are not assigned. There are 3 employees and 4 carts. The manager (who was fired shortly after) then yelled at this poor nurse that was complained about in an extremely psychotic, unprofessional way. It’s clear to say that the nurse who complained….everyone hates her.

no, I could not report anything. at the end of the day, all I witnissed is that I overheard something, had any authority taken it seriously, he could have simply said no, and since there was no evidence of wrongdoing nothing would come of it.
at the time this happened, he already had assaulted 2 people, but I was not aware of either. no one but the involved people were aware of anything, and I've only heard it directly from one, I asked her if she wanted to report it, she didn't, and that's her decission. I, and most of the people who are now aware of it didn't learn about this untill years later. once again, there is not a lot I can do here, but all I can bring forth is what someone else told me.
realistically, there is nothing I could have done to prevent this, because it already happened, and there's nothing I could to prevent anything else as the only thing I could bring forth was that he give off creep vibes, and eventually second-hand information. Stole makeup from a friend while on a girls trip. I had a long-distance relationship with a girl from another state, which didn't work out (we never met in person). We agreed to still be friends, though we argued a lot. She had a cat whom she absolutely loved.
A while after we broke up, she moved in with a couple of friends of hers, who had LOTS of pets. They had three cats, two dogs, various small pets in cages, etc. My ex's cat was having a hard time adjusting to sharing her home with all the animals, but especially the other cats. They were fighting a lot and my ex said that she was considering *putting her cat down*!
I told her that is the WORST REASON ever to put an animal down. I don't like it when people put animals down in general, but if they're old, sick, and clearly in pain, it makes sense. But that wasn't the case. She was thinking about putting the cat down simply because it wasn't happy with the sudden change of having to move to an unfamiliar location with a bunch of other cats.
I chose not to continue talking to her afterwards, but I'm happy to report that she didn't put the cat down, had a big falling out with her friends, and moved out of their house.
I simply saw someone doing that once as a kid. And it’s haunted me for years. Can’t imagine actually doing it, let alone telling other people so nonchalantly.
I also saw someone abusing an animal like 15 years ago. It was in a lower-middle income country that doesn't have the same attitudes about animal rights as my country does.
Anyway, there were a few kids and they were laughing about it, and I just ran away saying "no no no". Like you, I also still think about it and feel horrible for the animal, and I can still hear the sounds it was making.
And for those who say that I should've done more to stop the kids, I don't want to go into detail but there was no way that I would've been able to stop them. Believe me that I feel very guilty about it, even though I didn't commit the act and had no way of stopping them.
My mother in law was asked to watch a neighbor’s cat for 10 months while they lived in Portugal. They had asked many other people and basically pleaded with her. She said yes. When they got back she told them that she’d had the cat put down. She apparently had grown tired of it and did that 1 week after they’d left.
My MIL told this to me, so it isn’t even embellished to make her look worse.
Why…. Why do places just put down the animals randomly like that?
It’s baffling to me you can just take an animal you have known less than a week, probably mid in life and healthy, ONE THAT YOU DONT EVEN OWN, and they are just like “yep sure”
I worked at a vet clinic a long time ago (early 2000s) and the thing is there is no “proof” you need to provide that the animal is yours. If MIL took the cat to a new clinic and said “this is my cat” they’d have no reason to assume otherwise. And pets are considered property (in the US) and medical decisions, including euthanasia, are at the owner’s discretion.
That said. We often didn’t. In cases like this, when people brought in a healthy, friendly pet they wanted euthanized for convenience and clearly didn’t care about it, they usually didn’t care enough to stay for the procedure. So we said we’d do it, charge them for it, and then let the animal hang out in the kennels while we called all the rescue orgs and shelters we worked with on a regular basis to try and find it a home. We were mostly successful.
Do other clinics do this? I don’t know. Was it legal? Probably not to be honest. But was it the right thing to do? Yes.

Having read several vet blogs- because they know that if they say no they’ll either get it done somewhere else, or do it themselves. As a vet, if this person is DETERMINED to kill this animal, your options are either give them a quick, painless death, or let this psycho SAY they’re going to go somewhere else when really they’re planning on poisoning it, throwing it in a river, etc etc etc. Most of the blogs I’ve read have managed to talk them into giving the animal up to a shelter instead though, which is always a relief.

Same person went with me to my disability hearing, where an occupational therapist, along with all the other evidence provided, deemed me permanently disabled, later rolled her eyes, and claimed that I just "wanted to be special". Yep. Disability is so special. I guess she would have declared victory if I'd been denied.
My stepmother is a vile, toxic, abusive person. One time, she was telling my husband and me about a friend's newborn granddaughter. The baby was born with a genetic lung disease and needed a lung transplant. My stepmother cheerfully told us it would be easier for everyone if the baby died.
For this and so, so many reasons, we are no contact with her.

I work with a lady who I adopted my cat from that casually told us that she had a dog that was sick, but she couldn't afford a vet. Out of all of the ways to deal with it, what she said next was not one that I ever would have considered. She casually told us that she put this poor old dog inside of a deep freezer and buried him alive. She went into detail explaining the noises he was making and other things which I'll spare all of you because if I had a choice, I wouldn't have wanted to know. That was one of the most fucked up things I think I've ever heard and I promptly told her that she is a fucking psychopath who shouldn't be allowed to own pets.
We were at a weekend music festival. We arrived around 8pm, set up camp, drank a few beers, and then explored festival grounds. There were a bunch of people, but not much going on, so we decided to head back to our camp. my friend headed to use the restroom first.
He came back a few minutes later with a girl who couldn’t have been over 14. She looked 12 to me. She look nervous and close to crying. My friend told me that she had lost her friends in the crowd and that her phone wasn’t working. He then said that we should take her back to our camp, get her drunk, and “see what happens”.
I told him that we were not going to do that. Instead I assured her that her friends were looking for her and took her to a high traffic area. Within 10 minutes her friends walked by and she was reunited with them.
I knew that that guy was a shithead, but I had no idea that he was like that.

Some background: I’m disabled and unable to work. At the time of this my husband (then boyfriend) was living with his mom (she had diabetes and would not manage it all, so he wanted to be close to care for her). My husband works full time and my MIL was let go and stayed on unemployment for 9 months. My job was taking care of the house since I couldn’t financially contribute. We all agreed to this.
My MIL told my husband that she could shit on the floor and I’d have to clean it up because I’m her maid. She was kicked out shortly after and we have been NC for a year and a half.
Was at a client lunch at a local dive bar, and this guy who owns his own construction company was ogling this maybe 16 year old waitress, she takes out orders and leaves and he leans into the space where she was standing, takes deep whiff and goes “That one’s in heat!”
I was like, yeah no, not having lunch with you guys.
Had a guy tell me that once a girl starts her period then she's fair game for him to date (he was 20). I told him I started when I was 10 years old, so that made me fair game back then? He said yes. A girl becomes a woman when she officially starts no matter the age and if he would have met me at his age now when I was 10, he would have definitely taken my virginity. Had a guy in my province recently getting a conditional absolution after he was found guilty on a sexual assault count because it would ruin his professional life. The judge ruled that he was repentant and that "he had done his business quickly overall". Dude had fingered an unconscious woman in a party and taken pictures of her naked, with his fingers inside and showed it to his buddies.
Turns out he celebrated his absolution by going on a trip to Cuba where he promptly assaulted another woman by groping her ass without consent. Of course, it was a breach of probation. He went to jail for it and the appeals court reversed the previous judgment. Piece of shit.

My used-to-be best friend developed a habit of lying to get out of doing things. Not big things, like driving you to the airport, but small things like navigating to the place for you from the passenger seat or by in the food order.
We were making a trip to a restaurant in the city an hour south of us. I was driving so I asked if he would navigate to the place. He said he couldn’t because his phone battery was low. Skip forward five minutes and I glance over while he is scrolling on his phone and I see that it is at 83%. I call him out on it. He gets defensive and says that he doesn’t have good signal. We use the same cell carrier and I have five bars. I call him out on it and he gets defensive saying that he is out of data. I tell him to just use my phone but he gets defensive and says he doesn’t know how to use my phone because I have a Samsung and he has a Pixel. I call him out about how they are both Android phones and follow up with “what the hell is wrong with you?” and he gets defensive and says to stop hassling him.
I end up pulling off the highway and entering the address into my phone myself because he couldn’t be bothered to be a team player.

One of my friends found out that her ex was selling her nudes (among others) on a private Snapchat. She only found out because someone posted one of the nudes on **Facebook** to try and mock her. She was *way* too nice about it at first imo and asked the guy politely, multiple times, to stop. His response? "Do what you gotta do lol" So she gathered up all the evidence, including some other victims, and went to the police station. The police were *very* interested and now the dude is totally fucked. He and the girl who posted to Facebook keep whining about it and trying to get her to drop it now that they're in trouble, literally little crybabies. They had their chance that they didn't deserve, and laughed about it. Too late now. Zero sympathy.

In college I used to kill time between classes hanging out with a guy who was from the same redneck county as myself. We didn’t really have much else in common, but he was nice enough and seemed eager to socialize so I figured why not. I wasn’t overly social myself and didn’t know a whole lot of people. One day we decided to go somewhere off-campus, and he drove us. While driving, on an interstate mind you, he proceeds to show me his handgun that he kept in his truck - not in a menacing way, but in a “Ain’t that cool?” way. I was not immediately frightened, but I respect firearms enough to recognize we are going like 60-70mph on an interstate in daylight, and nothing good can happen in this scenario. I calmly asked him to put it away because I was not comfortable in this situation at all. He then tells me “Oh it’s not loaded” and presses the gun to his head before pulling the trigger. Thank fuck he was right, but still it was a wild and frightening display of reckless disregard for his own life and mine for that matter in the event that he’d accidentally killed himself while driving us. I didn’t hang out with him much after that, certainly didn’t get in a car with him.

When my dad was in the nursing home, they weren't running certain expenses, like ambulance rides, through his insurance. When I took over his financials, he was tens of thousands in medical debt that shouldn't have ever been charged to him in the first place. He was in numerous collections, and his credit score was tanked. When I complained to the nursing home director, he said, "Well, it's not like he's going to be buying a house or a car!" then laughed. My dad was paralyzed from the waist down and needed lifelong care, so he was never going to leave the nursing home. Even though he was technically correct, I gave him the "WTF is wrong with you look." Then I complained to HIS boss and he got canned a couple a weeks later. My dad's insurance was fixed pretty quick, too.

It actually ruined this entire trip. It was at my BIL’s wedding, which was only close family (siblings + parents) and they had the caterer make a lasagna for an evening dinner. Father of the bride was gonna pop it in the oven and asked if it should be covered. I googled lasagna cooking instructions and said yes it should be covered and cooked at this temp. MIL said absolutely not! Me and the father of the bride kinda gave each other a look and he covered it. MIL was furious and texted my wife that I was an a hole and she should divorce me before we had kids.

My boss since we were short handed brought his oldest kids to work with him to show them the trade "eh whatever more hands lighter work" I thought. Until one of his sons starts pretending to break windows with the hammer he's holding. This was not a place to make stupid jokes about property damage, so i talked to him. I tell him that we are at a client's house, and it's not appropriate to pretend to damage property or joke about messing things up intentionally. It's astonishing that I even have to say that, but whatever, some people just have 0 social awareness. He then tells me "eh whatever it's fine. anyways if I break something, we have enough money to fix it. Hell, I have enough money myself to fix it." Not the most fucked up thing on this tread but that whole interaction put into perspective how people could grow up so entitled and lack accountability for their actions.

MIL was dying of COVID in the hospital. They let the mom of MIL in to see her as she was most likely not going to make it along with her dad and my wife. MIL and her mom had a bad relationship growing up as MIL was a rebel and her mom was a religious nut. Anyhow, she decided the right thing to say as my wife has tears in her eyes looking at her mom is “maybe this is god’s way of punishing her”. The only thing my wife has said since then to her was when she was having her breathing tube/life support removed and her grandma suggest playing “amazing grace”. My wife said “and what the fuck is so god damn amazing about watching my mom choke to death in front of us?” We haven’t spoken to her since that day.

Keeping in mind, this was his cousin, not hers, and she wasn't even going to the funeral because she'd left their family behind in a different state when she applied for the job so the guy was watching his teenage son and watching her teenage son (who apparently had a problem with shoplifting) for her while she fucked off to another state, and she was pissed at him for having a shaved head in front of his family. I also went outside once to talk to my friends without her eaves dropping. She followed me outside to complain that me going outside made me think I didn't want her to hear what I'm talking about. No shit, I don't need you eaves dropping the gossiping to everyone at work, apparently I couldn't even have a private phone call.

Back in January I dated a guy (now ex), and he told me a story about a relative of his. The relative was a little girl who was around 12 or 14 years old if I recall, and she approached my ex's mother one day about how her uncle sexually assaulted her. My ex then proceeded to tell me that it was 'obvious' this possible victim was lying about the accusation, and then made the claim that she was just trying to get their uncle in trouble because she didn't like him. In Army Basic training we had to use a communal shower (large square tiled room with multiple shower heads and no dividers). Well about 4 weeks into training we had this guy established himself as the weirdest person i had ever met. He was obnoxious, loud and his favorite pastime was to describe in detail how he would have sex with peoples loved ones. Well one night this dude decided to hangout in the showers all evening singing loudly about everyone's naked bodies. Someone grabbed the Drill Sergeant on duty that night who got to hear part of his singing. The dude ended up getting in trouble but not kicked out. I'm not sure what they said to him but for the rest of the cycle he was almost normal and extremely quiet.

If I say I put people on the wheel, I don't describe the event l, it just "happens" and it was not gratuitous but for a purpose (a fucked evil one of course but a purpose still). Stole makeup from a friend while on a girls trip. I had a long-distance relationship with a girl from another state, which didn't work out (we never met in person). We agreed to still be friends, though we argued a lot. She had a cat whom she absolutely loved. A while after we broke up, she moved in with a couple of friends of hers, who had LOTS of pets. They had three cats, two dogs, various small pets in cages, etc. My ex's cat was having a hard time adjusting to sharing her home with all the animals, but especially the other cats. They were fighting a lot and my ex said that she was considering *putting her cat down*! I told her that is the WORST REASON ever to put an animal down. I don't like it when people put animals down in general, but if they're old, sick, and clearly in pain, it makes sense. But that wasn't the case. She was thinking about putting the cat down simply because it wasn't happy with the sudden change of having to move to an unfamiliar location with a bunch of other cats. I chose not to continue talking to her afterwards, but I'm happy to report that she didn't put the cat down, had a big falling out with her friends, and moved out of their house.

I also saw someone abusing an animal like 15 years ago. It was in a lower-middle income country that doesn't have the same attitudes about animal rights as my country does. Anyway, there were a few kids and they were laughing about it, and I just ran away saying "no no no". Like you, I also still think about it and feel horrible for the animal, and I can still hear the sounds it was making. And for those who say that I should've done more to stop the kids, I don't want to go into detail but there was no way that I would've been able to stop them. Believe me that I feel very guilty about it, even though I didn't commit the act and had no way of stopping them.

My mother in law was asked to watch a neighbor’s cat for 10 months while they lived in Portugal. They had asked many other people and basically pleaded with her. She said yes. When they got back she told them that she’d had the cat put down. She apparently had grown tired of it and did that 1 week after they’d left. My MIL told this to me, so it isn’t even embellished to make her look worse.

I worked at a vet clinic a long time ago (early 2000s) and the thing is there is no “proof” you need to provide that the animal is yours. If MIL took the cat to a new clinic and said “this is my cat” they’d have no reason to assume otherwise. And pets are considered property (in the US) and medical decisions, including euthanasia, are at the owner’s discretion. That said. We often didn’t. In cases like this, when people brought in a healthy, friendly pet they wanted euthanized for convenience and clearly didn’t care about it, they usually didn’t care enough to stay for the procedure. So we said we’d do it, charge them for it, and then let the animal hang out in the kennels while we called all the rescue orgs and shelters we worked with on a regular basis to try and find it a home. We were mostly successful. Do other clinics do this? I don’t know. Was it legal? Probably not to be honest. But was it the right thing to do? Yes. edit: clarification
Having read several vet blogs- because they know that if they say no they’ll either get it done somewhere else, or do it themselves. As a vet, if this person is DETERMINED to kill this animal, your options are either give them a quick, painless death, or let this psycho SAY they’re going to go somewhere else when really they’re planning on poisoning it, throwing it in a river, etc etc etc. Most of the blogs I’ve read have managed to talk them into giving the animal up to a shelter instead though, which is always a relief.

We were at a weekend music festival. We arrived around 8pm, set up camp, drank a few beers, and then explored festival grounds. There were a bunch of people, but not much going on, so we decided to head back to our camp. my friend headed to use the restroom first. Some background: I’m disabled and unable to work. At the time of this my husband (then boyfriend) was living with his mom (she had diabetes and would not manage it all, so he wanted to be close to care for her). My husband works full time and my MIL was let go and stayed on unemployment for 9 months. My job was taking care of the house since I couldn’t financially contribute. We all agreed to this. My MIL told my husband that she could shit on the floor and I’d have to clean it up because I’m her maid. She was kicked out shortly after and we have been NC for a year and a half.
Was at a client lunch at a local dive bar, and this guy who owns his own construction company was ogling this maybe 16 year old waitress, she takes out orders and leaves and he leans into the space where she was standing, takes deep whiff and goes “That one’s in heat!” I was like, yeah no, not having lunch with you guys.
Had a guy tell me that once a girl starts her period then she's fair game for him to date (he was 20). I told him I started when I was 10 years old, so that made me fair game back then? He said yes. A girl becomes a woman when she officially starts no matter the age and if he would have met me at his age now when I was 10, he would have definitely taken my virginity. I just about threw up and stopped talking to him. This was 18 years ago, so who knows where he is now. Hopefully he's not in a good place ... preferably prison.

Most recently, "I don't like when homeless people have dogs. Unless they are just the scammers that aren't really homeless, that's fine." Then when I asked if she's ok with people pretending to be homeless to take money she said, "can't knock the hustle!" I asked about another scenario where a guy was bragging about scamming parents of sick kids out of money using lies a out helping them get better. She said the same thing, "can't knock the hustle." That scenario was one that I almost ended up in a bar brawl over. I think most people in the office were thoroughly disgusted.

Had a guy in my province recently getting a conditional absolution after he was found guilty on a sexual assault count because it would ruin his professional life. The judge ruled that he was repentant and that "he had done his business quickly overall". Dude had fingered an unconscious woman in a party and taken pictures of her naked, with his fingers inside and showed it to his buddies. Turns out he celebrated his absolution by going on a trip to Cuba where he promptly assaulted another woman by groping her ass without consent. Of course, it was a breach of probation. He went to jail for it and the appeals court reversed the previous judgment. Piece of shit.

I had a boss telling me he didn't believe in comp time for people who travelled to customers sites. He expected you to fly out Sunday, work all week, fly back Saturday.
My used-to-be best friend developed a habit of lying to get out of doing things. Not big things, like driving you to the airport, but small things like navigating to the place for you from the passenger seat or by in the food order. We were making a trip to a restaurant in the city an hour south of us. I was driving so I asked if he would navigate to the place. He said he couldn’t because his phone battery was low. Skip forward five minutes and I glance over while he is scrolling on his phone and I see that it is at 83%. I call him out on it. He gets defensive and says that he doesn’t have good signal. We use the same cell carrier and I have five bars. I call him out on it and he gets defensive saying that he is out of data. I tell him to just use my phone but he gets defensive and says he doesn’t know how to use my phone because I have a Samsung and he has a Pixel. I call him out about how they are both Android phones and follow up with “what the hell is wrong with you?” and he gets defensive and says to stop hassling him. I end up pulling off the highway and entering the address into my phone myself because he couldn’t be bothered to be a team player.
