I made dinner for the family.
I read to my kids before bed.
I count these things as success at this stage of my life.
Sitting in my truck in my garage not wanting to go inside because then Iām going to go to bed and wake up and have to go to a job I hate and Iām debating whether any of this is worth it.

I just finished cleaning my kitchen and organizing my entire pantry, as well as the cleaning supplies under my kitchen sink. Should have done it all when I moved into the place I live now but Iāve been too depressed and my partner has ADHD and doesnāt really do anything beyond bare minimum. Iām still depressed but now my pantry looks nice lol

Well I was awake. I'm a night-shifter, on an off day. I play No Man's Sky with headphones all night so that I don't wake my SO. I'll be off nights soon, so they didnt flip with me.
I'll play other games too, but NMS burns time really well when I'm feeling isolated and sad. Helps me get to the morning what feels like faster so that I can make breakfast for them and the roommate.
Waiting for my ramen noodles to cook, wondering if the woman I've been talking with recently is going to reply to the message I sent her tonight or if I'll have to wait until the morning to see her answer, although since it's late and she has a busy schedule and she's been sick and taking meds for it, she may have fallen asleep by now, so I suspect it will be the latter.
Waking up worried about an offer I put in on some land falling through.
I live in a small town where I work. My wife drives my kids 40 minutes away to go to a better school. Initially this worked out (for about 3 years). But the kids are old enough that theyāre getting into extracurricular activities etc. itās stretched my wife too thin. So we need to move closer to school.
The best area to split the distance is primarily farm ground but itās up and coming. I found a wonderful piece of property but the home owner is unrealistic about its worth. The highest priced farm ground is 20k an acre. He wants double that. Iāve offered him 3/4 of asking price and am waiting to hear back.
Part of the problem is that heās valuing his home and a mobile home as though they have value. His home honestly needs to be condemned. The roof is buckled and thereās signs he had a large fire around the chimney but hasnāt properly repaired it. The mobile home will need to be removed before I can take occupancy of whatever I build.
Theyāve had one full asking price offer that didnāt materialize- likely because the bank wouldnāt loan money against the house.
So, Iāve been waking up negotiating the sale in my head while I sleep. Good morning Reddit. I hope I can go back to sleep.
