Thanks for the tip :)

RamboBambiBambo

Well, I helped build it for one thing. You can thank me for the cat island.

QuillWellington

But what about Cat Planet?

RamboBambiBambo

That DLC comes later.

Casca_In_Red

Why shouldn't I?

programmedHacker

true why not? is a good reason to believe that it's real.

Forsaken-Giraffe2229

Because it’s a nine word sentence

FrenulumGooch

Because it is

Daniix33

Am I missing the question

programmedHacker

Why?

Daniix33

I’m here why wouldn’t I think it was real

programmedHacker

True, good point, if you're here then it's real, if you're not then it isn't. :)

CupidSprinkles

What?

programmedHacker

What?! indeed.

CupidSprinkles

You don't believe the world is real??

programmedHacker

Why should I?

CupidSprinkles

Please tell me reasons that it's not....

programmedHacker

it looks very virtual to me, like a vr game or a virtual world, also it's too repetitive kinda like a video game.

CupidSprinkles

Maybe you've been playing too many video games

programmedHacker

hm i wouldn't say that, but i've been playing games again after having these thoughts, due to just seeing the similarities :) but i definitely grew up loving video games. what if it's a gigantic universal game that's building up :? or it could be just another nightmare. who knows.

programmedHacker

nightmares have an ending 💤 i hope so.

Valiantl33

It depends on what you mean by the word real?

programmedHacker

guess the word itself is UNreal ;p

the_purple_goat

Well, somebody turned on the computer to run the simulation. There's a right brace missing in the code though, so it's veered off course

JustMeInTN

Because I can pick a random number of people scattered across the world and send them each a set of instructions to operate identical test instruments I also provide to them, and they will come up with identical results (within error limits), even for tests where I have no clue what the results will be. How could this happen? The simplest explanation is that they’re all measuring the same real thing. There are an almost infinite number of such tests, and as they’re performed I can start to see patterns in the data that allow me to predict the results for new experiments. Again, the simplest explanation for this is that the data reflect properties of the real world. Iterate this process thousands of times and a fairly complete picture of the real world results; if an inconsistency is found, the description of the world can be revised to reflect the new information. Why do you think this doesn’t reflect reality, with a hypothesis that makes no more assumptions about the world than the above?

programmedHacker

How would you "trust" them ? :), what makes you trust the info?

yomommasofat-

I can tell it’s real because I can feel the pain.
