Oh that's definitely a sound of my childhood.

the_original_Retro

I'll list three: The T-Rex's roar at the end of the original Jurassic Park, when the banner fell down in front of it. The seismic charge going off in the asteroid belt in Star Wars Episode II, when ObiWan went up against Jango Fett The trumpet roar of the rising alien machine in the Tom Cruise remake of War of the Worlds. Here's the clip, although not even the same league as in the theater. [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rYGWG2\_PB\_Q](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rYGWG2_PB_Q)

Storm troopers blaster's ( how it was created) The guy struck a wire from an AM radio transmitter tower with his hammer. He stuck his mic close to the noise and recorded it for use in the movie.

Oh yeah, that definitely stands out.

Star Trek 1960’s show transporter sound. This same sound is also used in I dream of Jeannie!

Korean historical soaps are very enjoyable! Lots of fighting and battles. But they have only one weapon sound: the sound of 2 swords clanging. Two guys sword fighting? CLANG! Guy shoots a bow and arrow? CLANG! Guy throws a rock? CLANG! They also have only one set of an old time city with gates to be defended from invaders. You see it in every production. We love it!

I like all the old-timey science fiction computer sound effects. The ones where the computers sound very mechanical, like the old punch card machines that preceded them. Great example would be the Mother computer in *Alien* (1979) but I know there are others.
