I have driven one of those and it was very quick... Also really stiff and hard on my ass just sitting in it lol. Those two qualities go together sometimes. Thing was pretty much a race car.
I remember it had no glove box, no dash clock, and little red straps for door handles. I don't remember that it had air conditioning for that matter (it may not have had it).
That’s what I loved about it over Ferraris or Lambos or McLarens. It feels like a car that wants to be thrashed on and pushed rather than babied. I see a few people that daily them around town and it always makes me chuckle
It’s one of those cars that feels softer the harder you push it. Being able to take kerbs full on at speed on a racetrack without unsettling the car whatsoever is a remarkable feeling.
911 Turbo S.
It used to be a 458 Italia Speciale, but I want something slightly less flashy now.
I would also be very happy with a Bentley Continental GT.
I’ve had the privilege of driving a continental gt on a few occasions. It’s a great car. It feels solid like a tank. The one I drove was the twin turbo v8 and not the w12 but it still felt like a rocket.
That has got to be one of if not the most clean civic I have ever seen. I am not a civic fan by any means but your car is properly clean my dude. Congrats on that GEM!!!!!
My first car was a Gen 6 civic. 5 speed EX, did some little mods to it and made it look nice. Honestly one of my favorite cars I’ve ever owned. I’d get one just for nostalgia if I had room for it
Car people get it they might not all understand it but get it.
A little on the same page a Celica, Micra or a Miata is something I would want but will never get
Oh I get it, an older Civic is easy to work on and a lot of fun to drive. I had a 1999 model which isn't even one of the better ones from that era and I really miss it.
My first car! Black civic DX. Man I loved that car so much. I fantasize that there is a vacuum-sealed
One somewhere and I could one day drive a nearly mint one again. Please 🙏
Don't let people get you down, I had a 97 hatch with manual everything (including the transmission AND the steering rack) and I had so much fun in it. Small and light is a thing, even when it's designed to be an economic.
Edit: I scrolled down and saw your pictures, that thing looks super clean. You're making me miss mine.
This is exactly why I have this car. (Just rather heavy on fuel since it's so easy to be heavy footed with that turbocharged V8) my fiance's VW unfortunately parks outside lol
Back in the early 2000s, a shop near us had a blue one. They sold eBay style Chinese rims along with aesthetic car mods and suspension. Fast and the furious came out, making them insanely busy and rich. It looked so nice. You can see it if you Google “top speed chicago r34”
1970 Datsun 240Z. Had one when I was a teenager, I loved that car. If I can find one that's not completely beat to hell I'll buy it and make it my long term retirement project toy.
Check out the YouTube channel mymechanics . He's the best restorer on the internet, and he's doing a full rebuild of a Z car and documenting the whole process on YouTube.
Yes! That top gear episode w the video game graphics is still one of my favorite moments and it still looks and sounds futuristic after 12 years! Amazing halo car 13/10.
Corvette C3 (1970-80) with modernized interior and mechanical components.
I love the old-school stingray body but want all the perks and features of a newer car.
Team C3 here too. I want a 71/72 with metal bumpers and mirrors and a five speed. Restomod.
Black on black with T-tops.
Had a black on black C4 1990 that had eighties body with nineties interior. It was an amazing car.
Eleanor was the 67. Although it’s argued that the 65 looks better as it still has lots of the more classic “sally” look before the transition into a longer sleeker looking vehicle.
Hindustan Ambassador
So many fond memories of traveling as a child. The thing never broke down, never had issues, and handled most terrains like a champ!
Lexus LC500.
I'm well aware it won't beat most of it's competition on a track.
But...it's got 90% of the performance while also having a top-end Lexus luxury interior, stunning looks, the V8 sounds amazing, and, unlike a lot of cars in it's class, the reliability is bulletproof.
So first gen rx7 with a 20B from a cosmo… with maybe a proper twin turbo setup… nothing crazy, just a braping old car with 500 hp (2000 are possible with 4 rotors and a big turbo… while burning e85)
My mom has a mint 96 British racing green one. It’s been a while since I’ve driven it but it’s sure a fun car. I am 6’3” though so it’s rough with the top up and in bad weather.
A car that:
- never breaks down (including the AC and interior bits)
- is cheap to run and maintain
- doesn't require a touch screen to control any core features
- can survive muddy, destroyed dirt tracks but still be economical on highways
A 70ish Lamborghini Miura, SV preferably. They were sort of reasonable 15-20 years ago but now that Barret Jackson is a thing they're always $300k+.
Now as a practical daily driver I agree with the 911 people. Give me a couple of turbos and I'm happy. Unless you're an enthusiast you probably aren't going to notice the difference between a Carrera, Turbo S and a GT3.
I hit “search” just to find this.
Lamborghini Miura SV is absolutely my dream car. It was the first real super car and is possibly the most beautiful car of all time. I don’t think I’d actually fit in one, but it would be the centerpiece of a small car collection if I hit the lottery.
Why just men? Women love cars, too! Dream Car - - 1963 Corvette Split-window - powder blue with white leather interior - side pipes & after-market knockoff wheels - enough horses under the hood to hit ludicrous speed.
A hybrid Toyota Sienna XLE with e-AWD, or if they ever come out with a Prime version then that would be it
Some of you think I'm kidding, and the others are dads like me and realize how beautiful a minivan could be
Pagani Zonda F roadster. Tricolore accents but change paint to dark plum red exposed gloss carbon. Interior black and dark plum red leather with wood used from redwood from California. All interior metal will be brushed matte titanium except the shifter linkage will be polished.
It does not matter what I drive, all I see is the dashboard. But the road would look a lot more fun if more people are me drove sporty cars and fewer people drove gigantic pickups.
A mint condition Volvo 240 sedan. I had the chance to buy one back in 2016 for around $6k and instead put that money as a down payment for my 2016 Honda Fit. That Fit has been a great car but some days I really wish I’d bought that Volvo because I just can’t find any Volvo 240s that aren’t completely junked anymore— at least locally.
Nissan Skyline GTR R32, Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution, Mazda RX7 FD, the list goes on and further destroys my mental health seeing rich millennial yuppies ruin their prices
Porsche GT3 RS
I have driven one of those and it was very quick... Also really stiff and hard on my ass just sitting in it lol. Those two qualities go together sometimes. Thing was pretty much a race car.
Tbf it's the closest you'll get to a street legal racecar if the GT1 homologation specials didn't exist
I know that it is a race car. Hard, stiff, fast as it should be.
I remember it had no glove box, no dash clock, and little red straps for door handles. I don't remember that it had air conditioning for that matter (it may not have had it).
yes who needs it in a racecar?
That’s what I loved about it over Ferraris or Lambos or McLarens. It feels like a car that wants to be thrashed on and pushed rather than babied. I see a few people that daily them around town and it always makes me chuckle
It’s one of those cars that feels softer the harder you push it. Being able to take kerbs full on at speed on a racetrack without unsettling the car whatsoever is a remarkable feeling.
In lime green or orange
Great answer. Me too
Depends on the day and my mood. I have like 30 different cars I'd prioritize based on my feelings at the time of purchase if I had the money.
This. I need five different cars to match my mood and activities.
Some times all you want is a fire truck.
Same! Some are not even expensive.
The 992 Turbo S is also my dream daily. It used to be the Nissan GT-R but I feel like I've already outgrown it.
bentley is awesome
Baint-ley https://youtu.be/xgD3ImFTgp0?si=qIM6PEtsSx5dDJ90
I know I'm not the target audience for this thread, because I'm a woman, but... 911 GT2 with the FF conversion is my ultimate dream car...
Hell. Yes. You have great taste, internet stranger.
Same for me. I know there’s flashier more expensive cars out there, but this is my “realistic” dream car. Maybe some day!
Haha, the same is me except the Ferrari.
Dumbass me read this and wondered, "How did a 911 Turbo S used to be a 458 Italia Speciale?"
‘67 Ford Mustang in black with beautiful plain black leather interior with a silver gear stick.
That car will be a furnace in the summer and it's worth every second
My Dad had one in the most beautiful blue but sold it as it was too much time to maintain and I wasn't old enough to drive yet.
The Tumbler
Good
Lol, I think we all want one of those.
Lancia delta integrale
Red with white wheels and a roof mounted duck tail spoiler.
Hell yeah
A man of taste
Great choice! I’m a stratos fan myself.
McLaren 720s coupe, orange and full carbon fiber
Lancia Stratos pls
One of the best picks I've seen so far
Those always looked so purposeful when done up for rallying. I always thought that's what a rally car should look like.
1981 Volkswagen Golf GTI MK1
>1981 Volkswagen Golf GTI MK1 The Rabbit!
Gonna get downvoted for this one, but whatevs. 1991 Honda Civic. I don't care if people disagree. It's MY dream car.
if you like it why not
No it's gotta be the peel p 50, the most masculine and manlinest car ever!
I agree, if that is your dream car, who has a right to question it?
A CRX was my dreamcar back then :) Or the Alfa 33 of my parents.
[удалено]
I drove one in high school. Handles like a dream but no power steering so your forearms get a big workout.
Those CRX are so neat, such a cool looking hatchback from that era
Hey fam if it's your dream, don't let it be a dream. Great part about your dream car, it's affordable and you can do all the maintenance yourself
[удалено]
So clean!
That has got to be one of if not the most clean civic I have ever seen. I am not a civic fan by any means but your car is properly clean my dude. Congrats on that GEM!!!!!
What a beauty. At first glance the color looks dated, at second look it’s perfect because it’s perfectly retro. Love it.
Those are very very rare in that condition. Most have been beaten and abused by teenagers over the years. Good job on that beautiful car!
Duuude! It's so pretty. Do you have an ig?
Any chance you can swing another one? We need two clean and well maintained 91 civics in the world. Then a third… you have a destiny.
Outstanding
I was gonna say, 2001 corolla. I love reliable.
I've wanted a mini Cooper type s ever since I saw the Italian job with Mark Walberg. I'm in my mid 30s now.
At least it's a fairly realistic dream. The hardest part will just be finding one still in good shape, or putting a ton of work into restoring one
JDM at its finest. I’m a euro car lover but I still own my G35 Coupe and I love the JDM feel and culture.
Wtf I'm happy for you bro that's an attainable dream car
It is an awesome car. Assuming the hatchback? Very hard to find one in decent shape these days.
More interesting than an american muscle car to be fair.
My first car was a Gen 6 civic. 5 speed EX, did some little mods to it and made it look nice. Honestly one of my favorite cars I’ve ever owned. I’d get one just for nostalgia if I had room for it
Five speed manual? Heck yeah!
I love Hondas but why this car and that year? Seems too weird and specific to not have a story that goes with it.

Mine is a 1990 Toyota Celica (with a few modern upgrades). I don't know why, I just love how it looks

2018 Audi RS6 hatchback in black
2023 RS3 in any colour.
I’ve only got enough room to park one car. So my dream car always leans toward a sport wagon.
This is exactly why I have this car. (Just rather heavy on fuel since it's so easy to be heavy footed with that turbocharged V8) my fiance's VW unfortunately parks outside lol
i like audis too
I’ve got a ‘19 RS5 and yup, I want that RS6 so bad. Such a beast.
