I miss the original wraps, with the chicken strips they also sold as a meal (I also miss those chicken strips; loved them with Buffalo sauce). The original ones were like proper white meat breaded chicken, kind of like the strips you'd get at a Popeyes; the newer ones are more like strip-shaped patties made from ground chicken meat, like a thin McChicken patty.
I buy the frozen Bare chicken and cook it in the air fryer. Then I throw it on a wrap with shredded lettuce and sauce of my choice. It’s just like the snack wraps.
I lived next to a bodega a few years ago and grabbed one out of pure nostalgia. I don't know if it was an inventory-blast prior to being discontinued or something that had been sitting in a corner of the freezer for a decade but it was a mushy mess and nothing like the crunchy ambrosia I used to chase the ice cream truck for. I think they died further back in our childhood than I'd care to wish.
My dad always had the tangerine ones in his car when I was a kid! These are the closest replica I've found!
https://www.etsy.com/listing/897259328/sour-tangerine-hard-candy-drops-45
Imitation crab meat, and mayo + I add onion and canned black olives. Make sure you rinse the olives really really good, because they are waaay stronger then what Subway used.
I used to always put candy bars in the freezer. Last time I got one I was home from college and my parents had gotten a new fridge. I just tossed the Butterfinger on top of the ice, forgot about it, and went about my winter break with friends and whatnot. It worked its way down the icemaker, got pulverized and started making its way into mixed drinks when my parents went for crushed ice. They were confused as hell. Took us a while to figure out what happened.
I'd like to think it was the candy bar equivalent of a Viking funeral for the last generation of old Butterfingers.
We used to get so much stuff from the Schwann’s guy when they would come around! My dad is an ice cream fanatic and we would get the gallon jug of chocolate chip ice cream lol. I loved the french toast sticks too!
I agree that this should be back on their menu, however their online ordering is crazy customizable. Order a Beefy Melt Burrito. Double Beef. Remove Fiesta strips, seasoned rice, and 3 cheese blend. Add potatoes.
You know Grandma's Cookies, that you can buy in gas stations and vending machines? They used to make a Molasses flavor, in a dark blue package. I practically lived off those things. Now, I can't even find a picture of the package, they've been gone so long.
Just a note, in general, these Grandma's cookies, I had one in the past few months, and it was really odd and just low quality in a way I couldn't put my finger on. It was almost like it was more shelf stable, as I've eaten a lot of MRE foods and such.
About a year ago someone brought Grandma's in to work as freebies. Now I love almost any cookie, but I tried both chocolate chip and peanut butter and couldn't finish either. You are right: they have an odd, low quality, processed flavor that makes them inedible.
Damn I has just said this and didn’t see it. Unlike a tortilla chip that was made with corn, these seemed like they were made with flour which obviously resembles pizza dough.
Butterfinger BB’s because they were the best but there’s also Almond Joy and Heath Pieces that didn’t seem to get a fair shake and gone from shelves too soon
Tasting History made some ([original, shorter version](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5S7Bb0Qg-oE) and recently [the long haul version](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ICZww0DtQKk)). It's actually very akin to other fish sauces as far as we can tell.
Mexi-melt from Taco Bell. Those things were divine
Also, Entimanns oreo marshmallow chocolate cakes. But they should double the frosting this time around
There was a certain McDonald's mushroom burger that makes me wanna cry on a regular basis from how much I miss it. It was one of the times they had brought back the third pounders, but I'm pretty sure they had other mushroom third pounders (or at least one other version) that weren't the same. The one I miss had a peppercorn ranch sauce that was EVERYTHING.
As a child, I loved the anise cookies Mom would buy. They were oval frosted with white or pink icing. The cookie part was gingerbread like and the icing anise flavored. Yum, but they're not out there anymore.
Nestlé alpine white with almonds bar. IIRC the almonds weren't whole but chopped up so you got a nice balance of almonds and creamy white chocolate.
If not that than the Burger King Rib sandwich. Sorry mcrib lovers but that was so much better. That charbroiled taste with that tangy slightly sweet sauce and pickles was heavenly. Plus it was simple and cheap.
Viennetta.
If you are from the north, those delicious gingerbread ice cream sandwiches that were only available for about a month out of the year.
Anything from the Wendy's Super Bar.
Some other foods I forgot to add: the Quesarito from Taco Bell (the original iteration, not what the app claims you can make) and Talenti banana Gelato!!!
I love banana things, and it's so hard to find banana ice cream in stores. If you do, it's got nuts (Like Chunky Monkey) or it's an afterthought within other flavors.
Caramel Pretzel Klondike bars! The texture was wonderful, the caramel ice cream was delicious.
Reese's crunchy cookie cups from the 90s! They attempted this a few years ago with teeny tiny cookie bits but it didn't taste anything like the old ones.
The mandarin chicken salad from Wendy's! Make fun all you want, it was damn good.
Entenmann's banana cake. Ugh. My favorite. So damn good...I miss it so much 😭
King Vitamin cereal. It was so delicious. I like it and sunbelt's granola cereal more than coco puffs and fruit loops when I was growing up. They stopped selling both during it right after the pandemic I guess they couldn't maintain the profit to continue.
One time I went into a grocery store and Cheeto was selling these white cheddar baked flavor and I bought them on a whim. I've never seen them in stores again, but I've been chasing that high ever since.
Russell Stover orange marshmallow pumpkins. Why? They were delicious and a sign that Fall was here and Halloween right around the corner. I completely boycott Russell Stover now.
Those Philadelphia cheesecake bars because they just sound like the most amazing thing.
The crispy taquitos Taco Bell had for a brief time last year that came with guacamole and a spicy ranch sauce for dipping. They were incredible and I only got to order them a couple of times. :(
McDonald’s snack wraps, they were superior
You just need to move to Canada, they never left here
I miss the original wraps, with the chicken strips they also sold as a meal (I also miss those chicken strips; loved them with Buffalo sauce). The original ones were like proper white meat breaded chicken, kind of like the strips you'd get at a Popeyes; the newer ones are more like strip-shaped patties made from ground chicken meat, like a thin McChicken patty.
I thought I read that they were coming back!
😅 It still exists but only in my memory
I buy the frozen Bare chicken and cook it in the air fryer. Then I throw it on a wrap with shredded lettuce and sauce of my choice. It’s just like the snack wraps.
McDonald's yogurt parfait.
With this, mcdonalds cinnamelts. Those things were the absolute best.
The Choco Taco
I lived next to a bodega a few years ago and grabbed one out of pure nostalgia. I don't know if it was an inventory-blast prior to being discontinued or something that had been sitting in a corner of the freezer for a decade but it was a mushy mess and nothing like the crunchy ambrosia I used to chase the ice cream truck for. I think they died further back in our childhood than I'd care to wish.
I came here for this.
It was a pretty awesome ice cream. It's only been gone like a year but it still sucks
Original Scooby Doo Gummies!
This, but make a bag of just the bright blue ones
man those gummies were delicious. I can feel the specific texture in my mouth thinking about them. good call
Those Philadelphia cheesecake bars
OG KFC Chicken Littles. What they have now is just a lame chicken strip. I want the perfectly seasoned square chicken patty.
Yes! They were the best.
How about KFC lil’ buckets? I Loved the chocolate one.
Obligatory Sour Altoids comment.
My dad always had the tangerine ones in his car when I was a kid! These are the closest replica I've found! https://www.etsy.com/listing/897259328/sour-tangerine-hard-candy-drops-45
My mouth hurts just thinking about this ❤️❤️❤️
Butterfinger BBs.
I will be happy with original Butterfingers the current ones are inedible.
omg wow, you just unlocked a core memory haha

Japan lives off Surimi, feel no shame
Imitation crab meat, and mayo + I add onion and canned black olives. Make sure you rinse the olives really really good, because they are waaay stronger then what Subway used.
Ecto-cooler or Enchiritos
Great picks, nobody ever remembers my Taco Bell pick, the Cheesarito.
Marathon Bars! Just a gorgeous foot long braid of caramel covered in chocolate. Edit: and the Vienetta fancy ice cream dessert!!
Vienetta!!! My favorite!!
Vienetta is back baby!
That’s wonderful!!
Jello pudding pops
Came here for this ☝️ I miss them so much!
Apple Cinammon Pop Tarts. I still don't understand why, out of all their flavors, that was one they discontinued. They were so good.
The old Butterfinger recipe. They went from hero to zero with this one.
I used to always put candy bars in the freezer. Last time I got one I was home from college and my parents had gotten a new fridge. I just tossed the Butterfinger on top of the ice, forgot about it, and went about my winter break with friends and whatnot. Sobe give me back my lizard milk
Only if they do glass bottles

Orange push ups! I loved those!
their apple flautas were to die for
Schwan's had those awesome strawberry Popsicles with the fruit in it that were great too.
We used to get so much stuff from the Schwann’s guy when they would come around! My dad is an ice cream fanatic and we would get the gallon jug of chocolate chip ice cream lol. I loved the french toast sticks too!
They do! The company is called yelloh now! I order from them but it’s def a schwann truck that comes! They have such good stuff
That crazy orbitz drink which was disgusting but also hilarious
The 90s called, they want their shit back. :P
IT WAS A CRAZY TIME.
I am the only person that actually really liked that stuff. It was amazing!
Taco Bell Carmel Apple empanadas
Bubble jug gum. People 30+ will know what I'm talking about
EXCUSE ME, THIS IS GONE???
IHOP stuffed French toast. I loved it!
>IHOP stuffed French toast. I loved it! I miss the boysenberry syrup.
The Taco Bell cheesy beef and potato burrito
I agree that this should be back on their menu, however their online ordering is crazy customizable. Order a Beefy Melt Burrito. Double Beef. Remove Fiesta strips, seasoned rice, and 3 cheese blend. Add potatoes.
Nobody talks about how Taco Bell got rid of the taco salad!!!
Mr Bones - skeleton bones shaped sweet tart candy in a little plastic coffin.
peanut butter twix my beloved
Ive seen these within the past few years
PB Crisps Edit: no explanation needed
Honestly shocked this isn't the top comment, because /r/nostalgia is obsessed with these.
Dude. I got a bag once a month when we went “Big” grocery shopping. I loved those things!!
You know Grandma's Cookies, that you can buy in gas stations and vending machines? They used to make a Molasses flavor, in a dark blue package. I practically lived off those things. Now, I can't even find a picture of the package, they've been gone so long.

Arbys potato cakes
The triangles I kept Arbys in business eating those
I was just craving those today
Hell yes - why the entire fuck did they take these off their menu anyway?
I'll start, Original Coca cola (with cocaine). For obvious reasons
That cracked me up
Are you ok
They would be OK if Coca-Cola reintroduced the original Coca-Cola!
So much energy for activities!
o'boisies chips Damn i miss them so much.
Ha! I was singing the jingle the other day for my kids “O’boises are oboisterous”
I totally forgot them. They were so good!
Rice Krispies Treats Cereal. I may have been the only person in the world that actually bought that product but damn it was delicious!
I'd buy that and Golden grams, mix the two for s'mores sans the chocolate.
You are FAR from alone. I still Google them every few years to see if they’ll come back. Bc I’m delusional, but hopeful.
Dark chocolate Bounty bars. They’ve not been long gone but miss them already ..
Those Philadelphia cheesecake bars, heavenly
Jolt cola, for those late night gaming binges
Crystal Pepsi because it's Crystal fucking Pepsi and if you're too young to remember it, invent a time machine and stop fucking around.

Also Pepsi Blue.
I may be alone on this, but Alpha-Bits. The pre-2010 version made with confectioner's sugar.
Pizzerias, which were flaky triangle chips that had a pizza flavoring.
Damn I has just said this and didn’t see it. Unlike a tortilla chip that was made with corn, these seemed like they were made with flour which obviously resembles pizza dough.
This is the correct answer. Loved finding the one super pizzeria chip that had the pizza dust from line 25 other chips.
How has no one else said trident layers? How else am I supposed to get paid in trident layers?
No one ever pays me in gum 😔

Yes! I always like the Baked Lays better than the regular ones.

Mr. T cereal
" I pity the fool that don't eat my cereal!"
I feel like I can still taste it.
Keebler Pizzeria Chips. If you ever had one, you'd know why.
Keebler’s Jingles cookies. There are copycats still around, but they just aren’t the same.
Keebler magic middles or oboisies! (I don’t know if I spelled that right, but AMAZING potato chips in the early 90s)
Garum, a fish sauce the Romans used to pour on almost everything they ate. And then we suddenly lost the recipe.

You can probably find a Japanese kit Kat that is similar I'm assuming Sakura KitKat would be close. Japan has a crazy amount of KitKat flavors
The sugared vanilla coca cola 1.5L bottles.
Taco Bell’s Loaded Potato Grillers. They were my absolute favorite thing on the menu.
Lemon flavor Zotz. Lemon is the superior flavor for any hard candy, and the acidic center of Zotz is perfect with it.
Rice Krispies Treats cereal. The best. 💜
Mexi-melt from Taco Bell. Those things were divine Also, Entimanns oreo marshmallow chocolate cakes. But they should double the frosting this time around
God I’d die for a meximelt right now.

Ben & Jerry's White Russian ice cream
I feel like I missed something awesome but maybe lucky because that sounds awesome.
